Putting in "Tianna Parks" and "Philadelphia", his case came up at the bottom of the page. That little box on the left gives a choice of Docket Sheet or Court Summary.

That is sad but I assume her daughter most likely needed a lot of help. Who got custody of the little girl? Can't be easy to not know where her son is, and then getting her daughter taken away.

I had to resort to Forensics for Dummies to get an understanding of Mechanism of death. Did LE ever say they did not know the cause of death? The only things I've seen mentioned as not known are the mechanism, the date of his death, the location of his death or where she disposed of his body.

The most important function of the medical examiner in any death investigation is determining the cause, mechanism, and manner of death. Here are definitions of each of these terms:

• Cause of death: The disease or trauma that directly caused the victim’s death. Examples include a heart attack, a gunshot wound to the head, or a drug overdose.
  
  
• Mechanism of death: The specific physiological derangement that actually led to the cessation of life. For example, a heart attack victim could die from a deadly change in heart rhythm or from severe damage to the heart muscle, leading to shock. Here the cause of death is a heart attack, but the mechanism is a cardiac arrhythmia or cardiogenic shock, respectively.
  
  
• Manner of death: How the cause of death came about. The five manners of death are natural, accidental, suicidal, homicidal, and undetermined. A gunshot wound (the cause of death), may have been accidental, suicidal, or homicidal, for example. Only deaths from disease are natural.

A wild guess: they would probably have to do an autopsy to determine the mechanism of the death. For example, she could have stabbed him to death but without the body, they wouldn't know which organ failed. (Or I could be completely wrong.)

I mean they don't just charge someone with all this without being sure they can convict her so they must have strong evidence I'm sure it was easy to prove with phone records that she did not drop him off when she said she did but what prove can they have to know she murdered him? Even if she told someone it wouldn't be enough so it has to be video ? But then they would know the mechanism so I'm really confused what the evidence could be Abuse of a corpse I understand because he has not been found but what could make them so sure he was murdered by TP? (Not that I doubt she did this)

They most likely have video of her either confessing or right after she murdered him, in a panic. My guess is that, either way, it wasn’t filmed on purpose.

I believe this would be misprision of a felony.

First enacted into U.S. law in 1789, misprision of a felony in the federal system is a felony punishable by a fine and up to three years in prison. The common-law rule criminalized simply knowing about a felony and not notifying the authorities. But contemporary federal law also requires that the defendant take some affirmative act to conceal the felony. The crime has four elements:

• the defendant knowing about the felony’s commission
• the defendant failing to notify a proper law enforcement authority, and

*Preliminary Hearing (@ 9am ET) - PA – King Hill (2) (missing July 7, 2020, reported missing July 8, 2020 by stepfather, Philadelphia; not found, police say he is deceased; DOB 7/29/17) - *Tianna C. Parks (24/now 25) aka Tiana C. Parks was arrested (7/19/20), charged & arraigned (7/20/20) with felony murder (F1), endangering the welfare of children (F2), possession of an instrument of crime (M1), interference with custody of children (F3), abuse of corpse (M2), unsworn falsification to authorities (M2), false report (falsely incriminate another) to LE (M3), obstruction of justice (M2) & tampering/fabricating with evidence (M2). Held without bond.

7/20/20 Update: Arraignment hearing on 7/20/20. Next preliminary hearing on 8/5/20. 8/5/20 Update: Preliminary hearing has been rescheduled to 9/2/20. 9/2/20 Update: Preliminary hearing was continued to 12/2/20.

She is a female and in a female facility. Yes, they should get the details correct but for some reason listing the sex incorrectly is a common mistake. This is the third case in one year where I've seen the same type of error.
