State Police seeking missing Pike County woman

Pennsylvania State Police are hoping the public can help them find a woman missing for nearly two weeks.

28 year old Kristen Nicole Guratosky of Greeley was last seen in the Hawley area wearing a camouflaged jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Police consider both missing and endangered, although they would not provide additional details.

For those that wouldn't know about the area, while this says Blooming Grove, that is where the State Police barracks are located but isn't near Greeley. Lords Valley State Police would be closer. Greeley is situated in the woods - you wouldn't know it was a place unless you lived in the area - it is more precisely a section of a township. Hawley, where it was said she was last seen, is in Wayne County and has their own police as well as State Police out of Honesdale. Her Facebook says she lives in Lake Ariel which is further west toward the Southern end of Wayne County.

So I am kind of confused about where she is truly missing from and why it is being handled out of Blooming Grove.

She does have a court case filed against her on January 2nd, 2019. Theft by Unlawful Taking and a Forgery count from an incident back in November of 2018.

On or about the day Kristen was last seen in Hawley, this happened in Wayne County.

You can count on one hand the number of incidents like this happening in a year in that county. So, it just stands out to me. Probably unrelated. While Kristen has two children neither is old enough for her to have been the victim mentioned in the story but I wonder if she knew the victim (or the perpetrator).

I must be overtired. I cannot find anything related to this young woman, anywhere on their page. There are other alerts on people being found safe. I certainly hope KNG is found safe!

Kristen was one of my friends since I moved to greeley. I knew her for a good 18 years. Sadly she passed away last month. It breaks my heart that I keep losing so many friends
