Police say a double homicide is under investigation in Swissvale, Allegheny County, where a mother and a young daughter were found shot inside an apartment Wednesday.

Allegheny County – On February 15, 2023, at 9:34 a.m., County 9-1-1 received a call for a male having chest pains in an apartment in the 7800 block of Sailor Place in Swissvale. When paramedics arrived, they did not receive a response from the apartment dispatched. They contacted the property manager and learned the number that called 9-1-1 was associated with another apartment on the same floor.
Medics attempted to gain entry without success and contacted Swissvale police for assistance. Swissvale Police forced entry into the apartment and discovered an adult female deceased from a gunshot wound and a female child deceased from a gunshot wound. Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene.

Through the investigation, detectives learned 35-year-old Kareef Antonio George Easington lived with the victims. Easington was not present at the scene and detectives would like to speak with him concerning the homicides.
