PA - Michael, 50, & Cathryn Borden, 50, shot to death, 13 Nov 2005

  • #281
I just saw a video on Fox and they reported that David Ludwig ran away one other time with a girl and that he also had sex with Kara's younger sister? Anyone know what is going on? They did not elaborate.
Also my gut feeling is that Kara is involved. No reasons or facts, just a premonition.

Its a hard time for a parent when you have to intervine with your child and who they are thinking they want to spend the rest of their lives with. I remember! My parents hated my boy friend and tried to talk to me about not being so serious with him, being that I was only 17years old. That made me want to be with him all the more. They didn't push... luckily the situation wasn't as bad as Kara's. They later told me (when I smartened up) that if they would have pushed the outcome could have been worse.
As far as Kara's parents, what choice did they have?? Its not something I'm looking forward to when my daughter starts to date (at age 35 ) :snooty:

What about this Samuel Lohr?

He needs to be monitored and thrown immediately into question...IMO he could be the next one to go off the deep end....you don't make movies, reference and discuss plans about killing people without being a little bit on the disturbed side yourself....this was a "game" these boys were playing and the Borden's the unwilling, unfortunate targets....

Fox News Channel is reporting that Ludwig has run off with a girl previously....so far that's all they've mentioned but the segment should be up soon.

From everthing I have read, I believe David is a con and a user. He found himself a young beautiful girl that loved him and he thought he had the world by the balls. If everything did not go his way, he was gona make it his way! I do not believe Kara had a clue as to his intentions. I feel so sorry for her and will be praying for her and the family!

Think she might have been pregnant?
When she refers to already taking that risk, I think she is referring to the risk that David could go to jail for statutory rape.

That is what I think too.

If David had pictures of Kara on his computer “in various stages of undress,” how much longer before they add child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges to the growing list of David's criminal activity?

CH - I see what you're saying, but this girl was too young to be dating, period. It's not like she picked the wrong guy to date, she had no business dating to begin with . (In my opinion, and in my community, girls that young don't date. ;D)

If her parents had sort of looked the other way and hoped this would end, they could reasonably be charged with neglect and aiding juvenile delinquency. A 14 year old girl who was allowed to date an adult male is . . . neglect. And here, she was out all night with this boy. At what point do reasonable parents call the cops? At what point do parents call the other parents for a "meeting of the minds" where this boy is told to stay away or else?

It's such a sad story. The parents seem to really be on the right track, really caring loving parents, in an intact family, and she went wild and they didn't act in time to save their lives.

I don't think you can be charged with a crime when a 'victim" sends pictures of herself to you.

I think you can when you are an adult and an underage person engages you.

No, CP, I don't think you can be charged with a crime if a girl sends nude pictures of herself to you.

To commit a crime, you have to act yourself, not be the recipient of someone else's inappropriate behavior.

I believe there is plenty on his computer to show that he isn't up and up. I believe Kara is a victim until and if someone shows me real reasons she should be complicite other than trying to be sexy. All 14 year olds want to be sexy..it is a 14 year old thing. Whether parents like it or not. She got in over her head.

back in my day (the 1980's- lol) the big thing was to lock up teenage girls in mental hospitals if they were seeing a guy their parents didn't want them to see. now,, i have to say... i kind of see why they do this (esp. in this particular case!)

CP - he's probably going away for life, for killing Kara's parents. There is enough evidence to show he had planned this, and he is totally guilty of killing two really wonderful people.

The point remains - in my mind - she really needs this wake up call. All 14 year old girls don't focus on being sexy. I have teenagers, and I see teenagers all the time and I know them, and most 14 year old girls don't try to illicit the kind of attention she did from David. Most 14 year old girls wouldn't stay out with an 18 year old boy, against their parents wishes, and post come get me photos of themselves on their weblogs. Some do, that's for sure. She did.

She isn't 100% innocent in this. She is to some degree at fault for depriving her siblings of their parents. I don't think she should be charged with a crime, because I don't believe she committed a crime.

What she did, though, caused her parents deaths.

And maybe the best thing that will come out of this is other girls who are as silly and self-centered as she was will open their minds to what they are doing, and maybe other parents of girls like Kara will take strong steps to stop this kind of behavior before it gets too far.

So there will always be a silver lining. Sad that her parents had to die for that warning to others.

I would check that law-cuz its no different then the girl agreeing to have sex-it doesnt count..he is the older one and she is vulnerable to his advanced years and way of perating.
I dont know that they will go there on this one because they have alot all ready but u can be sure that if the law is such that her age is considered the age range of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 material that they would use it too.

I think u all will be surprised at the trouble he alone is in because he knew her age and still went forward.
Its the same as incest..the girl can throw herself at the older one and he still cannot have sex with her and have it be ok.

If the law was as u are suggesting-that if someone sends u the pic who is underage so it doesnt count we would have mayhem in the sex crimes arena.
All a pedophile or rapist has to say is she asked me to-or she came on to me-or she sent nude pictures which means she is ready for sex etc

Its not ok and he will be the one held to the standard -it is imperative that the minor not become thefocus-it doesnt matter what she wore-said-or did not say-it will fall on deaf ears unless there are more women then men judging him-women will minimize his part and blame her.
