Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects in the robbery and murder of Milan Loncar.

Mother shares heartbreaking tributes to son shot in Philadelphia | Daily Mail Online

"The devastated mother of a Philadelphia man shot dead while walking his dog has paid tribute to her beloved son.

Milan Loncar, 25, a recent graduate of Temple University, was walking his dachshund-chihuahua mix dog named Roo on Wednesday at about 7pm when he was shot dead.

His mother, Amy Lounsberry, told the Philadelphia Inquirer 'everything was coming together' for 'a beloved sweet boy just starting his life'.

He had graduated from Temple University in 2019 after majoring in engineering and had been working for a construction management company for about a year.

Surveillance video from the incident shows two suspects walking down the sidewalk - Milan was about a block from his home - then splitting up to corral Milan as they approach him, stopping him in his tracks.

One of the suspects can be seen pulling out what appears to be a gun and holding it at chest level to stop Milan. The suspect then seems to reach for Milan's pockets.

Police said that a shot was then fired and that the suspects ran from the scene. "

IMO, the legs on the person in back look possibly female

You've got good eyes. Several of the commenters on the DM article noticed that too.

How sad. Milan didn’t even have his wallet on him, so his killers got nothing.

Devastating. Young man starting life, and two thugs not only ambush him, but shoot him.

Kids running around with guns all over this city, and they don't care who is in the crossfire.

Notably on our new Commisioner's first year here she blamed the immensely high crime rate/gun violence partly on Covid.

God Bless this boy, and his family who will never be the same again! Ever!

Unfortunately, it sounds like things are getting worse. Take care my friend.

Quite bad. Thank you, MH.

Second highest homicide rate in country. We are just behind Chicago.

I feel so bad for Milan's family.

Such a shame to loose a young life to punks with pistols ☹️. There is rarely any investigation and the family is just so broken up over it . Rest in Peace Milan. Prayers for family and friends to find comfort and strength. Just heartbreaking

I'm interested to see if one is a woman.

The heights of both suspects could be determined by comparing their heights with Milans. They were both standing against Milan, front and back.

This WAS NOT a Robbery. The suspects went through Milans pockets BEFORE shooting Milan at close range in the chest KILLING him. They did not take Milans CELL PHONE and HOUSE KEYS. Milans wallet was left at home.
They took nothing but Milan’s LIFE. This is a HATE CRIME.
MOO

“Surveillance video released by police showed two people reaching into Loncar's pockets.

Then one of the suspects fired a shot at Loncar's chest.”
