Ok. So I Found the exclusion list hopefully I won’t make that mistake again. I am Wondering if anyone has looked at
1.Cassandra Ann Lalolonde. missing since 4/1/88 Louisiana.
2.Brenda Kay Green missing since 7/2/88 Alabama.
3. Jennifer Jackson Floyd missing since 4/18/88 Mississippi.
Theses three match the description and that she could be from southeastern US.
Any thoughts??

Hi there!
I am new to this site, but not this case. It will be 30 years since my brother, 2 neighbor friends, and I discovered Penny Doe's body while hiking. The older I get (and having kids of my own), it bothers me more and more that she may not be identified and the individual(s) responsible for her death have continued to live their lives in freedom. I am thankful that folks like you have kept Penny's case alive-that gives me hope!

I am very local to this and this is the first I am hearing of it. I will now be following and digging a bit deeper into this. If there is anything people need local just let me know.

Have been waiting to hear about Barbara Miller DNA results, but never felt she was Penny as there was a year between Barbara’s disappearance and Penny’s discovery.
Thanks for sharing!

Barbara Miller was added to the rule out list at the end of 2019. Dentals should have made this an easy rule out.

Ashley Fuller Reed possibly? She disappeared after meeting a man at a restaurant in garland Texas in January of 1990

Details of Disappearance

Reed planned to meet two unidentified males for dinner during the evening of January 14, 1990 near her hometown of Garland, Texas. She was supposed to meet the men, who were known to her family only as Dave and Robert, at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) restaurant at Interstate 635 and Military Parkway in Dallas, Texas. She mentioned she might travel to Corsicana, Texas with friends and would call home when she arrived.

The two men Reed planned to meet that night have never been identified. A witness reported seeing Reed at the IHOP talking to a man. He's described as Caucasian, about 6'0, and 175 to 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He had a clean, neat appearance and wore a beige Western-style jacket with elbow patches, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Reed has never been heard from again.

Her brown 1984 Chevrolet Citation was found abandoned the following morning on the freeway ramp at Military Parkway and LBJ Freeway; the hazard lights had been left blinking and the battery had died by the time the car was located. The ramp was approximately one-quarter mile from the restaurant she planned to visit the night before. The vehicle's driver's seat was pushed all the way forward, the way Reed normally kept it, and her purse and keys were missing.

Two fishermen reported finding Reed's purse in a water-filled gravel pit near the Trinity River and Bois d'Arc Road. They said they'd looked inside the purse and seen papers with Reed's name on them, and they told the police. When the police went to the pit to retrieve the purse, however, they couldn't find it.

Reed is a former student at Harding High School in Minnesota. She was an honor student, president of the student council, and a cheerleader, and was on the school's newspaper and integration committee. She had planned to enroll in the University of Minnesota at St. Cloud to study pre-law, but changed her plans and moved to Texas with her mother and brother in October 1989. She had taken a job at JoJo's Restaurant in Addison, Texas.

Authorities believe she was taken against her will, and foul play is suspected in her case.

rsbm

I initially submitted Ashley as a PM for Penny Doe on March 16, 2005. I resubmitted on April 7, 2008 when the PSP Trooper on her case retired and a different Trooper was assigned.

I have no doubt that the PM was looked at, especially by the first Trooper since he was the last on the case who was actually there when Penny Doe was found and I know what lengths he took to try and identify her. Much of my contact with him was by phone so I don't have an email with r/o info and I don't want to misspeak (it being 16 years ago) and say Ashley was definitely ruled out.

I don't know what identifiers Ashley had/has for comparison.

This was before NamUs (originally UDRS) really started to come together so it doesn't surprise me that Ashley isn't on Penny Doe's rule out list.

I would really love to know what the 2002 letter to LE said.

The Ultimate Blog About Pennsylvania | Living in Philadelphia Guide
.....Dentals: Available. She may have come from an area with flouride in the water since her teeth had no fillings and no sign of decay. Despite the perfect condition of her teeth, there were several distinctive characteristics that could help identify her:
A tooth in the upper right side of her mouth was chipped, but it is unknown if the chip occured before or after death.
One front tooth was short and stubby compared to the same tooth on the other side (unknown which tooth)
She still had one of her baby teeth behind the adult tooth, i.e. the adult tooth had grown in but the baby tooth had not fallen out (unknown which tooth)
She also had one upper tooth that was 90% rotated. (unknown which tooth)

@CCJD I went back to look at these as there didn't seem to be earlier feedback from anyone else:

I don't believe this UID is Jennifer. Her Namus photo shows quite prominent front teeth and it doesn't appear that either of them is distinctly shorter than the other (relevant text in the first quote highlighted red, which I extracted from one of the very first posts on Page 1).

Brenda also has a file photo that shows her front teeth and they also seem of normal proportions compared to each other.

Cassandra might be a possibility but she is significantly younger than the estimated age of the UID (20-40yo). However a close look at the age progression shows front teeth that are somewhat uneven to each other. In the age progression the face is angled to one side. I believe if this picture had been drawn square/directly from the front, then the front tooth that would be on the right of the computer screen would be quite a bit longer than the one on the left of the screen. I also think the recon looks quite a bit like the photo from the MP file, albeit with eyes more open and mouth closed - something about the facial shape looks quite similar.

HOWEVER I am also mystified by the comment in red. If you look at the photos of the skull and closeups of the teeth in Namus, she only has 1 top front tooth and 1 bottom front tooth... so how do they know the length of a second tooth is stubby by comparison?

They weren't my suggestions. I was only posting the links to MAC9799's suggestions (post above mine).

That information came from forensic odontologist Dr Michael N Sobel. Part 1 of article from the Pittsburgh Press, October 14, 1990 attached.

Who is this in the picture?
A missing woman named Beverly Anna Piert. Went missing in the summer of 89. I don’t think she was reported missing until much later though, I don’t remember her on NAMUS years ago. No picture in NAMUS. Her son died after hitting a concrete wall in the summer of 2002. Same year LE got the anonymous letter. She is from Jefferson Ohio. Straight shot to the dump site on back roads.
