A man who spoke said he has a hole where his soul used to be said that Father Stanley Gana told him that the now Bishop Bransfield was having sex with the boy who sat in the front seat of his vehicle when they pulled up to Gana's farm one summer day.

Basically this poor guy who had been raped by Gana for a long time said he was building a wall at Gana's farm in Pennsylvania when Bransfield showed up with a vehicle loaded with teen boys.

Also brought into account was a rape that took place at Bransfield's Brigantine, New Jersey summer place. Not by Bransfield, but at his place.

Also brought into account is Lynn telling a victim the Priest was "fine" now and he had been an alcoholic and been treated.

So ummmmmmmm all child sexual abuse victims raped by drunkards we now know that they're not pedophiles unless they're drunk?

Plus the victim testified it was BS and that he had seen the Priest drunk only once in years.

You come from a family of good Christian parents. A neighborhood mostly by this time in the lower socio economic bracket. You're raped and sodomized already so your mom sends you to a Priest for help, and what??????????????

Gana took this kid to his farm for years. He was told he could not attend his prom or his Senior Week by Gana. He wanted to be a Navy Seal, but Gana told him to go to Nursing school so he did.

Gana purchased him a car so he could go back and forth to the farm and use it back home to get to North Catholic. The kids dad used the car to go to work and the SOB takes the kids car?

Yes he said he was angry. His dad had to walk to work in the rain and cold. He was also not real happy about the prowess of Gana and the "rotation" of other boys Gana sexually abused.

My heart goes out to this poor man. It really does.

In 1992 a young seminarian went to Lynn and told him about the years of abuse by Gana and told him about the two other boys who had been rotated at the farm as well. He could identify the boys. Note one of the other boys was the poor kid he bought the car for and took it back from who he raped continuously.

Lynn said it would not be a good idea. Why? Well it could harm the victims.

Not cha-ching we're already paying out a motherload to all these poor people that actually survived in this ugly world where their confessors rape them as children. That in fact I mean the Church in entirity because PA sure didn't pay out.

Not "Holy pedophiles, seminarian I am so sorry for your horrific pain. How can we move to help these victims?" Nope because that would compromise his position in the heirarchy now wouldn't it.

I can't see how his testimony shouldn't be required. Gana was not in confession during the hearing. They are really grasping at straws. jmo

He's the Canon Law guy that heard from that Father James Brennan at the "Church Trial". WTH is up with that? Is this something like Tribal Law?

Well under questioning Quirk told how the "I'm innocent" Father James Brennan said he did show the victim and did sleep in the same bed, but couldn't recll any touching. This all said at the Canon Law trial. Ummmmmmm and then did anybody else ask any questions?

Quirk said he didn't ask about the kid being visually assaulted much later by Brennan when the kid had to do community service. He also said the victim removed from his testimony the part about Brennan trying to sexually assault him.

What reall struck me was this poor man was taken at age 15 to a bar. Served. I guess because he was with a Priest? It's a well known college bar and this Priest is bringing a kid in there? The boy also asked the Priest if they could borrow his beach house for their Senior Week.

That da*n Priest must have been in heaven no pun intended. Senior Week is a right of passage. You live for Senior Week when you graduate. Well he said surely and offered to get the booze and had a swell time wrestling with the boys during their Senior Week.

Priests who have been suspended for a year may learn their fate very soon or may have already as such is the case with Father Francis Feret.

It's beyond me why this guy has already learned he's being removed from ministry, and it has been announced. The "accuser" whose attorney said he was told his statements are credible and the Priest will be ousted. Ain't that flippin swell? Victims will learn what has happened to their abusers. That's a new concept. Imagine the poor people that truly are victims and aren't deemed credible? Imagine them putting those guys back out there with kids like they've done all these years?

The article states that Father Feret was not popular at his last Parish. No kidding. I can say this with cvinviction and even our elders used to say he was a mean, nasty man with a chip on his shoulders.

Thankfully I don't know of anyone abused by him or if so they had never told. I beg everyone to please pray for the poor victim or victims of this man who should be in prison.

I can personally say even though I was a girl that Father Feret was surely quick to come outside the rectory when the boys played stickball. He was a mean scary man and at ages like 8, 9 or 10 when he grabbed you or yelled or asked you a question you answered the guy. He was a Priest for God's sake. Him leering at you after school while you played ball would make a kid uncomfortable, but what do kids know?

Now what? Does he get a pension? Does he still get to say Mass?

Lord please take care of the poor soul who has suffered all these years thanks to this monster. I pray he will heal to the best anyone can after such awful things happened to him as a child.
