Yes, could be. A friend of the family said that SN is an acquaintance. MOO

ETA: Or, another name was used?
A jitney is an illegal taxi so she could have been known.

Makes no sense to me that a man married with a woman born in the US, who have a child together, also born in the US, had to be deported. That 90 Day Fiancé show makes it seem like, when you get married to a US citizen you get to stay in the country. Makes me wonder if something bad went down and he was deported because of that.

Maybe this driver was hired through Lyft since she was both an Uber and Lyft driver.

It’s been posted that she was driving “jitney” which is basically like an unlicensed, unregistered taxi service for cash. She did have both Uber and Lyft stickers on her car but she was not working for either service that night.

a) unless she has serious mental health issues I don't see some random Uber driver kidnapping a toddler and selling her. What does she have some call list available for people in the market for a child that she just whipped out when a random toddler landed in her vehicle?

however

b) I can't imagine a father selling his toddler and telling a random Uber driver that is what he is doing and for how much. Much more likely would have been a story about how he was having the Uber deliver the child to her mother at a predetermined location.

which leaves me thinking

c) none of this makes any sense.

Normally when these things happen and a child goes missing I always think the worst for some reason I feel like this child is alive my worry is if she has left the child outside in woods on her own I think for there to Be an accomplice would have required planning normally when you call a taxi you call it when you need it not days in advance if the child was sold then that would have had to have been planned out to i feel like she’s a crazy lady who decided for a crazy reason to steal this child I don’t think dad is involved in the disappearance because he called the police how would she have known days or even a week before that nalani was going to be in her car she couldn’t have found some one to sell her too within 3 hours and why would any one help her hide the child and ruin there whole life I think she’s hidden the child somewhere

Everyone she knows just need to start checking basements any out houses or old buildings or vehicles on their properties.

When is the last confirmed sighting of Nalani by someone other than dad/Nancy/associates of either? I’m having a hard time believing Nalani was ever even in the car Saturday evening. Shades of our dear Maleah imo.

So who is the mother of the Nalani?

That lady defo crazy as hell because if we were to believe what she says then she dropped off a child to Be sold for 10k and no normal sane person would do that for any one! I don’t believe her nonsensical story I think she stole that baby for reasons only she knows and now she’s trying to save her own 🤬🤬🤬 by blaming the child’s father rather than admit to what she’s done and where she’s put that baby!

If dad really sent that woman to sell his daughter to some one for 10k like she says then why would he call the police And implicate her knowing it would lead straight back to him! He would of said he was in an unknown taxi but he gave the police her details so I’m inclined to believe he’s telling the truth and she isn’t

Exactly. Why would the father tell her he was selling his child and for how much? No way.

We continue to follow the search for Nalani Johnson. Police arrested 25-year-old Sharena Nancy overnight in connection to this case. @KDKA

I didn't realize there was allegedly a third passenger aside from Nalani and her father. Trying to catch up as quickly as I can, who was this "friend" and what has that person had to say about events?

Family members tell Channel 11 Nancy was giving a ride to Nalani, her father and a friend at that time.

SNIP

Nancy claims Johnson showed her a picture of a woman who he said would flag her down, and she would turn the baby over to. She said she did exactly what the child's father wanted.

SHARENA NANCY: AMBER ALERT: What we know about Sharena Nancy, the woman charged in the alleged abduction of toddler

Was Nalani in a carseat? If so whose? Was it in the car already or did Nalani's father bring it into the vehicle with him? Was it still in the vehicle when Nancy was taken into custody or no?

Where does Nancy claim this photo of the alleged purchaser of toddlers was located? Does she claim Nalani's father pulled it up on his phone or was there a hard copy of a photo? What is the description Nancy provided for the alleged child purchaser? Is there any video released showing where she claims she met up with alleged child purchaser? If so where does she claim the hand off took place and how does she explain no evidence of the alleged woman in SUV?

So many questions.

Agree...at first I didn’t believe Nalani was ever in the “Uber” until Nancy was arrested under the current charges. (Assumed dad made up story like Maleah’s case) An arrest means there has to be some element of truth to her transporting the child, right?? Whether or not Dad was involved...no one knows yet.

I thought that at first, but I’m inclined to believe him at this point. I could be wrong though! :(

Yes, the police report says Nancy gave Nalani and the carseat to the two women. I’m thinking Dad and Nancy pre arranged this entire ride, including car seat. Friend might be his alibi.

But wouldn’t he need a story when asked what happened to the baby? It does seem
Risky though to implicate someone you’re working with...idk.

I wanted to say I appreciate well-known members sleuthing this case for Nalani. This is literally occurring in my hometown and is so sad. I’ve been following every update since the Amber Alert. You never think this will happen in your backyard until well here we are.

If he was truly involved why not say he went to the park with her and she disappeared he could make up anything if he was involved common sense would Be to throw police off completely if your trying to get away with a crime not point them in the right direction but anything is possible!

I could be completely off here but just thinking up possible scenarios I wonder if Dad had a sexual relationship with the Uber driver. Did he call it off She was upset and took the child? Or has she bonded with the child and took it because she’s misses her own? Does dad not want to tell the police he was romantic with her because of his wife? Has she made up the story about dad selling child because She is panicking and is trying to get out of trouble? Has she literally just left the child in a wood somewhere? Non of it makes sense!
That s what the interviewer of Nancy's husband seemed to hint at It does not seem like a realistic scenario to me either
