Found Deceased PA - Nancy Giles, 40, Johnstown, 14 October 2018 *endangered*

Thanks @Jethro4WS . I looked at the "driveway" type trail that LE was using and didn't imagine that it was that big. Puts more perspective on it for me. Guessing the guy looking for metal was using a metal detector? Otherwise, how was she found underground?

"His metal detector was pinging in that area," Lees said, "which led him to start sifting some dirt around, and he discovered a large bone. That’s when he called 911."
A forensic autopsy and examination were performed Tuesday afternoon at ForensicDx in Windber, Lees said, and dental records were used to identify the remains as Giles. To confirm the identification, officials noted the serial number of a medical device found with the remains and compared it to Giles' medical records.

Yeah, I mean really it was such a lucky break to find her. If this doesn't happen her remains might not have been discovered for ever and a day.

Why don't you sack up and be a man for a change and end this all by turning yourself in?

Who am I kidding - you're too weak and pathetic to do the right thing. But that's okay.....it's just a matter of time. The authorities are building the case and since you won't help put an end the investigation and admit to the authorities what happened, you're going to go away for the rest of your pathetic, sorry little life.

presently Brian Giles is in lockup.

Police are searching for a missing woman named Jilly Todaro and she lived with Giles. Cops finally got into the house to search. Also Johnstown. A month or so ago police were called there for a domestic dispute.

I'm unable to link so can't start a thread for Ms Todaro. This guy is a piece of work.

Here ya go, @Filly
PA - PA - Jilly Todaro, 45, Johnstown - 13 Dec 2020

I might be getting ahead of myself but IF (and that's a big IF) there is ever talk of a plea deal with this scum bag, it needs to include full disclosure on what he did to Jilly Todaro and where her (presumed dead) body is.

Prosecutors then discussed a letter which investigators say Giles allegedly wrote to them after he was arrested in 2022.

Investigators testified that Giles admitted in the letter that "he and another person buried his wife in a shallow grave along a trail near the bottom of the Johnstown Inclined Plane after she reportedly suffered a seizure."

After about an hour of deliberations, the jury found 48-year-old Brian Giles guilty Thursday of first-degree murder and aggravated assault for the death of his wife, Nancy Giles, the Bedford Gazette reports. Giles, according to investigators, has a history of crimes against women, including, in part, assault and terroristic threats.

Following Thursday’s verdict, a warrant was executed citing “specific information” for Gile’s apartment, in the 500 block of Franklin Street in Johnstown’s Kernville area. Human remains were found during the investigation. Currently, it is unknown if the remains are related to Brian’s missing girlfriend, Jilly Todaro.

According to Cambrige County Corner Jeffrey Lees, the death was classified as “highly suspicious.” He reportedly said investigators are taking all necessary precautions to handle the case with dignity and respect.

“At this point, we’re not going to have a lot else to provide until we get a positive identification,” Neugebauer said.
