Found Deceased PA - Nicole Murray, 24, Poconos, 3 Jan 2018

Justice for Nicole Murray page is alive and well....interesting info. See post dated Dec 11, 2018. Hmmmm....

Very interesting information there Henry2326.
The Miller brothers and their friends should be investigated more aggressively, and also the couple who were the last to see Nicole alive,The couple were familiar with at least one of the brothers.

Maybe Nicole have a child ? I just wonder why Nicole sent her mother a picture of little boy ,a baby .This is so sad, I hope justice is coming soon.

Blessings all. I haven not posted in a very long time. However my heart breaks for Nicole's family daily as does all the people that live in our neighborhood. Basically most of us grew up with an aunt or uncle of Nicole's.

I come from where Nicole's dad did. I knew his brothers. I knew him. Without exaggeration he was one of the coolest most peaceful laid back man and would help any soul on earth. His kids? They were his world. Always the kids were with him. So this is devastating beyond belief.

Blue Girl asked abut the photo of the child Nicole sent. No, she didn't have children. That was the child of neither of the "M" brothers, but their buddy a "RS". It was mentioned they relegated Nicole to babysit for him after they got her up there. I can't vouch for that, but I always saw it as a clue of sorts sent to her Mama. You could see in the background it was some unfinished pit of a place.

The Justice For Nicole page holds alot of information regardig who saw her last and that person admitted to it. Meanwhile that man who held a very high position at one time in Newark has responded to Nicole's mom. Unfortunately it seems as he could give a flip.

Nicole had street smarts let alone common sense so unless fearing for her life would she flee shoeless and without a coat or phone in a place she had no idea about and in freezing below zero temps.

Thank you. Perhaps some wonderful people here can help as her family and friends are their own detectives about now. May this lovely, beautiful young woman rest in peace with her daddy. More importantly may these sketchy, riffraff, evil people get charged with her murder.

I just found out about this case from our long lost friend @Filly and am digging into all I can find out about it.

I'm going to dig around before commenting other than to say my heart breaks for Nicole, her family and friends.

I did find do this article and apologize if was previously posted.

'We just think she went with the wrong person': Nicole Murray's family puzzled by her Poconos death

Will be digging into this case this weekend as I do my weekend chores.....shopping, cleaning, laundry.....all that fun stuff.

Cubby, Nicole's cause of death wasn't made public because she'd been in below 4 degrees until the thaw. I believe that is right.

The "last persons" article of those that saw her alive you'll note the woman left out her last name. Not just on my word, but on The Justice For Nicole page you see conversation between that woman and Nicole's mom.

The "brothers" took a trip to a store and left little Nicole with that woman who happened to have a gentleman friend on the side who was not known about.

To complicate it more there's the "RS" who Nicole was taken to his "trailer" to babysit for. From there she was taken to Foilage. Then left? With no shoes or phone or money or coat? On a mountain?

Pocono Bob is known down the way as somebody that preys on young women in addiction. Indeed this young lady had a drug problem, but I'd bet meth was not part of it. Can't say on hearsay, but she suffered heroin addiction. She was young. Had time to start fresh. She's a sister, daughter, friend, and niece. She deserves justice. Not to be left discarded in snow far from home.

My links aren't aligned but one article I recall a girl said she had gotten in the car with that guy and for a thousand bucks or a bunch of dope she could never find her way back there. She dodged a bullett.Last but not least you can see "gentleman" friend an older man who was a high up fire fighter back in Newark was putting Nicole's name in parish bulletins along with the name of the woman who lived at Foilage.

Sorry for the long post. It just seems wrong that Nicole's mom was handed an urn of her baby's ashes on what was Nicole's birthday.

I did see the article with the comments from the other girl who went to the cabin with Bob.

The two things that stand out most to me are the phone call Nicole made to a friend on January 3rd to be picked up and the location she was found.

It wouldn't make sense to dump her body so close to where she was visiting. And it wouldn't make sense for someone who murdered her to use her phone to communicate with her mother.

The church bulletin info before she was found doesn't alarm me. They knew she was missing, so praying for her would make sense. Now, if it read pray for her soul, that would be alarming as it would be indicative of knowledge she was deceased.

I honestly think this was just a tragic accident. I think Nicole was adamant about leaving after the argument and walked across the street thinking she could stay with whomever resided there until she could get her belongings and get home. Whether or not she knew the mobile home was vacant is irrelevant, imo. She may have thought she could break in if she knew it was vacant.

I think she just made a poor choice and succumbed to hypothermia. Any drugs or alcohol in her system, if any were found, would be a contributing factor to making that poor choice, but ultimately I think it was the weather which caused her death.

Cubby,

As always thank you for your great insight.

Absolutely wouldn't be a good choice just to leave Nicole's body within feet of your brother's house.

However, the person who saw her last? Now would he have cared?

More praying here. Thanks, Cubby.

Even dope sick somebody wouldn't just stomp out without shoes though. Just a thought.

this also makes sense.

She didn't have to relapse to make the choice to go. People sometimes view recovery differently. Some may just give up one substance they abused, others may choose to abstain from all drugs and alcohol. If she wasn't using she could have been drinking..
Her addiction didn't define her.
She was a beautiful girl. I'm keeping her mom, family and friends in my prayers.

cvaldez your compassion is so appreciated as Cubby's always is as well.

Lapse?Relapse? Taper? it's such a struggle. Also without going into it pretty much when someone is using they have that one and only person they can actually trust or they grew up with. In a roudabout way I can say that person to Nicole who would have had her back was seeking their own help. That's when your guard is down.

My question always was "Why if you're a heroin addict unless that guy handed you at least five bundles or something would you go to the dang Pocono's?" No matter what weather dancing, being out there, whatever I can't see traveling a distance. You'd be too afraid to get stuck up there and get sick.

Yes, as with all our victims here on Websleuths they are sisters, daughters, sons, friends, parents. Addiction can happen to anyone. Still you have a moral compass. Then you have people that never had any and use and deal and keep hurting people or worse.

RSBM. Thank you for your kind words, Filly. As for your question, people in the midst of their addiction aren't thinking about the future. They are impulsive and thinking about the right now. They know the consequences, but it's a constant battle in their mind they can control it. Each and every time the mindset is trying again to control it, but again failing until one accepts the addiction controls them. There is a saying for those in recovery, If one isn't working on their recovery, they are working on their next relapse.

Addiction is like cancer, it can affect anyone regardless of income, race, background etc.

I'd like to think Nicole is resting peacefully with her daddy. Completely addiction free and no more hurting.

Was Nicole's cause of death ever made public? If so, can someone add the link?

The police didn't released a cause of death but they said Nicole's death
ruled as suspicious.

Body Found in Poconos Identified as Missing Woman from Philadelphia Area

TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The body of a woman from the Philadelphia area who had been missing for months was found in a quiet community in the Poconos.

The Monroe County Coroner's Office has identified the woman as Nicole Murray, 24, and has ruled her death suspicious.

I really hope this case gets resolved for her family's sake. I live in the Poconos not far from where Nicole was found. I remember when they found her body and reading about it in the local paper. Meth is definitely a drug of choice up here.
The Poconos and especially the area where she was found is very Isolated. Like Wal-Mart is a 20-30 min drive from certain areas including around where she was. You aren't going to just walk out your house and be able to catch a cab or even hitchhike until you get to a major road so she really was stuck/at the mercy of those around her.
