The boy with the short hair on the left looking straight at the camera resembles him, to me. Probably just wishful thinking, and I have no idea when the picture was taken.
I'm interested in the boy on the right in front of the nun.Can someone find out when this picture was taken?

I wonder if any one on there has pictures of what the blankets on the beds looked like to see if they matched the blankets the boy in the box was found in.

I don't know, but that's a very good idea.

I've been digging through old Newspaper clippings in the time-frame of when this boy was found, I read a long brown hair was collected as evidence.
Was the hair human? Or could it have from a horse? As in horse therapy for developmental disabilities in children.

They should be able to test this hair. For DNA or for what it actually is-either animal hair or human hair. Is there someone we can contact to find this out? I will continue to research this picture and try to find more photos.

Was that car the box was removed from driving towards or away from the orphanage/school? I may have asked this question before but I still don't have an answer.

I agree. I can see the resemblance with this boy.

I posted this awhile ago too. This is from america's unknown child's website under The investigation.Does this bother anyone else? It does me.

QUOTE
Unfortunately, while the envelopes that formerly contained the hairs remain in the custody of the Medical Examiner's Office, the hairs themselves no longer exist. The envelopes are empty and it is not known if the hairs disintegrated over the years or were just plain lost due to so many handling them. The blue cap is still in police custody, but the blanket (except for a tiny fragment) cannot be located. Only two small pieces of the J.C. Penney bassinet box have survived.

No Suzanne you are not alone. This REALLY bothers me. No, actually it infuriates me. This is the second cold case that I have deeply researched where evidence was "lost". This is why these cold cases will more than likely never be solved. We need special tasks forces to go into the archives and PRESERVE all of this evidence from these cold cases. They deserve to be solved just like the next murder that will happen in the world, wherever it may be. But its people like you, Suzanne, that keep these cold cases alive and keep bugging the people we are supposed to rely on to solve these things. Good for you, honey. Keep up the good work, as will I.

Ok after looking at the St. Vincent page, there is a woman tagged in this same picture that we have been looking at on here. Her initials are KC. I have written her on fb asking if she has heard of the case and if she had ever seen the blanket before. She grew up in the Phili area and still lives there. She also works for the police dept so maybe she will be interested in helping us. We will see if I get a response.

This came across my Facebook feed. Originally set up for Grateful Doe, the page features an unsolved UID case every week. This week it is "Boy in The Box". Our wonderful Carl K. did the recon of Boy in The Box's face.

https://www.facebook.com/GratefulDoe?fref=ts

They are asking everyone to "share" BIB's info on Facebook pages.

I'm glad people are keeping this little one's picture out there to keep his case alive.

I have looked very much into Orphanages in around Philadelphia around the time period our boy was found and I am very interested in pictures of blankets, haircuts ect... of the Lutheran Home for Orphans and Aged, 6950 Germantown Ave. It's the only Orphanage I could find that took in babies and children.
