JJ thank you for your information. You have been fair and very restrained in your responses despite constant attacks. Thanks again.

Here is one: http://www.centredaily.com/2009/03/12/2396594/the-lewisburg-witnesses-april.html The sources at the time are noted.

Note that the time of the call, may have been around 11:30; the location, based on DZ's comments on Disappeared was in the area of Centre Hall. I have found out that just east of Centre Hall.

There was a witness in Centre Hall, revealed on Disappeared that saw RFG turning onto 192. I do know of multiple witnesses prior to that west of Centre Hall.

Renner's "At the River's Edge" told of Packwood Hose witnesses, though an early report, indicated that Jennifer Snyder saw him across from Packwood House moving the Mini (Joseph article). This was around lunchtime on 4/15.

This was also mentioned on Disappeared.

At the 2008 "dueling press conferences" Ted McKnight (ex-DA from Clinton) revealed that a witness had seen RFG in the Mini, heading south toward Lewisburg on Route 15 between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. (I can post a copy of Buehner's letter mentioning it.)

Two witnesses saw RFG driving the Mini in the SoS parking lot around 5:30 PM. That was originally from an article written by PB for the CDT between 7/1 and 7/5/08, and repeated on Disappeared

At least two witness saw RFG in the SoS in the evening. One was a shopowner named Brad Alvey (from the Collegian). At lest two saw RFG with the "mystery woman," from Disappeared.

On 4/16, two female employees saw RFg in the SoS at 11:30 and Craig Bennett, the owner saw him around noon. http://www.centredaily.com/2009/03/16/2397164/the-lewisburg-witnesses-april.html (I am not convinced that this group is accurate)

As indicated, one witness saw RFG in the Mini "fiddling" with the laptop in the Mini in Lewisburg. I don't know which witness or if it is another witness.

I have heard of additional witnesses not ruled out on 4/16, but I don't have the details.

All of the witnesses from 4/16 can be debunked on the simple fact that the hounds found no scent in, in front of, or around the SOS. Also if RG did walkaway he wouldn't risk sticking around on Saturday as he would know LE would be looking for him at that point. I'll get to the other witnesses later <modsnip>.

Why would RG be driving South on 15 North of Lewisburg between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm on (I assume) the 15th. There is little to nothing North of Lewisburg on 15 other than Milton and Milton State Park.

Is it possible that the laptop and drive were tossed into the river from somewhere on the Island that makes up Milton State Park and washed down to Lewisburg?

The scent in the parking lot and not at the SOS has always bothered me, but I chalked it up to scent contamination by the number of people walking in and out, probable dropped food items and smells from the SOS.

Edited to add that it is "possible" that the scent in the lot, if it was only around where the mini was parked, was due to RG's skin cells being swept out of the mini and onto the ground. The dog cannot tell you..."Hey, there are two different scents here!"

Extremely doubtful that the drive could have floated or been moved more than a few inches by even a strong current. It has the density of a stone. :)

Also, the area was close to where another stream flows into the Susquehanna. I'm not certain how easy it would be for something from the river, even that floats, could get into that area from upstream.

The dog followed something for about 20 yards, but within the parking lot. The dog circled at the end of the trail; the handler thought RFG could have gotten into a car.

Ahhh, yes. I do remember reading Officer Rickard's name in previous posts.
Thanks for your response, SuperSmith. Now I recall MR = Matthew Rickard.

I applaud ALL of you for the work you have done in an attempt to unravel this mystery. Will we ever know what happened to Ray? Only God knows. I pray He continues to comfort and give peace to his family, colleagues and friends. I cannot fathom what it would be like to experience the disappearance of a loved one.

Alas, I am experiencing another one of those senior moments. Too bad there isn't an icon of a light bulb with a slash over it, 'cause that would show how I feel. . .

Who is MR?

Matt Rickard, the lead detective from 2007 until mid 2013.

Thank you very much, J.J.

Call me crazy but all I could think of when I saw the capital letters "MR" was that it was a reference to Mr. Big on "Sex in the City!"

Where did everyone go? I'm sorry if I offended anyone w/the post above.

I'm in the dark again---Who is Jennifer?

There have been so many discussed over the years I'm starting to feel as if I'm in a crowded baseball stadium (unlike the Orioles today--how weird that must have been--but that's another topic). Anyhow, in my imaginary stadium seat I feel as if everybody's doing the w - a - v - e and I'm the only one who can't stand up + sit down at the proper time!

:thewave:

Oops--forgot to quote. My question was in reference to SuperSmith's post #124.

Jennifer Snyder, one of the several witnesses that saw RFG in the Mini across from the Packwood House Museum.

That is exactly my thinking Tracker. The dogs should've at least tracked the scent towards the entrance of the SOS.

  • #134
I concurr JJ. That IS a reported sighting. See I don't disagree with everything you post.

Or the dog tracked a fresher or stronger scent.

  • #136
How do you explain the laptop ending up stream from the hard drive then?

  • #137
That is possible yes

  • #138
TRACKER- please take a look at this article by Centre County Times reporter Pete Bozak (he has been mentioned recently).

http://www.centredaily.com/2006/05/13/3802/missed-leads.html

The investigation was botched from the beginning. Why was Fenton's eyewitness account (who knew Gricar well) dismissed when she swears she saw him in a different car in the courthouse parking lot at 3pm on the 15th? Why? It was their most credible witness!!! I have no idea why he would be in a different car but this sighting has always stuck with me. So if Fentons account is so easily dismissed then how can we take any eyewitness account reported at face value when they did not even know Gricar? Anxious for your thoughts on this Tracker. Have a good night.

So do believe they were tossed from the bridge?
