I'm not certain about the Freeh Report. People that talked to RFG were called before the grand jury.

Even when I should have prepared, I was not. It is one of my regrets.

In all honesty, I never thought Sandusky would be charged in regard to 1998. I thought he was showering with a bunch of children or with several children and the football team. It sounded innocent. It wasn't. I, to my great regret, ignored it.

I can feel your regret, JJ. But unless you were there personally-you should not be feeling badly. I feel that you have spent years of your life fighting for the truth for not just yourself but for everyone who ever cared for Mr. Gricar. Even when those closest to him seem to have given up hope. I could only hope that if I ever went missing someone would care this much for me.

I agree with CJMAJORGIRL24, I too would want a friend like you in my corner.

Regrets can get in the way of life, so please focus on all you've done and be proud of that as you go forward.

It's not. I should have realized there could have been something up with the 1998 incident and the DA's Office.

I frankly though, like everyone else, if there was a case strong enough to prosecute, RFG would have prosecuted it.

I missed something. :(

I certainly don't blame you for missing "it." I am certain that you remember all of the smoke and mirrors and the side shows that went on ....

I know it isn't funny, because i hate to hear about anyone losing their job, but look where the detective that lead this case is working now. Sorry i had to have a small laugh-just because I didn't really ever like him.

I have never in all of my life heard of any police agency using a psychic as much as they did. I think she may have been part (unknowingly to her) to the bigger plan.

I thought it was a joke!

He was fired, but he had retired from the BPD, so he has a pension. I've tended not to talk about career changers. Centre County is not a kind place for some of their former officials.

I have heard of other psychics being used, but I don't think they work very well. Personally, I use Google. :)

You are very funny, J.J. !!! Next time i am in need of a psychic-i will just press the "i feel lucky" button !! :)

I have heard about psychics helping on cases , but not daily or to the extent they were used in his case.

I am learning a lot about Pa. from Websleuths. Pa. is a very generous state when it comes to pensions-just look at 'jer-:(.... And i am not real sure that many people in Centre County are kind.

(sorry for all the REALLY kind folks there-please step up and let me meet you) :blushing:

There was only one instance where a psychic was used in the RFG case, that I'm aware of. The family did not object.

The last two defeated general election candidates for Centre County DA did not have their major employment in the practice of law after their defeat. Centre County is not a kind place to the defeated. I'm not thrilled about that.

Freeh Report

http://l.yimg.com/dh/ap/default/120712/freeh_report_final_071212.pdf

RFG only mentioned as "District Attorney" so you can find all mentions by searching on that term.

Source claims the Seasock report "severely hampered" RFG.

Problem is, Seasock, in 1998, wasn't a licensed psychologist, didn't have a doctorate, and had less experience than Dr. Chambers.

The good news is, there was no influence from Penn State and no evidence of any criminal involvement. There was also no involvement in 2001. :)

I'd like to visit Bellefonte someday. It is a beautiful town. I've only visited Philadelphia when I was 16 yrs old and the people were not friendly.at.all. moo. But I was out of my element there because I am a small town gal. :blushing:

Thank goodness for J.J. in Phila's help in debunking that myth for us/me. :)

Along with my friends who come from those parts....

Freeh mentioned in the presser that the ADA in the 98 incident did not press charges and refused to speak to the investigators and referred to her as 'she'. Is this the female ADA that Gricar removed from the case? Thanks.

My supposedly bad neighborhood is actually more like Mayberry. You would probably never visit is, but it is.

Legacy protection never works.

• Former assistant football coach Mike McQueary, former University Director of Public Safety Thomas Harmon, former Centre County assistant district attorney Karen Arnold, former Second Mile head Jack Raykovitz and Jerry Sandusky were not interviewed by the task force.

The humorous part is, she'll talked to me, but not to Freeh.

It is also ironic, because from what I've been able to determine, she was removed, and had she not been, probably would have pursued charges in 1998. She might be one of those folks who tried to do the right thing (and didn't make a stupid mistake).

bumping up for Ray... in light of the news today he is on my mind.

JJ, I just read your blog on legacy protection. It was spot on, I thought. Kudos.

Joe Paterno, at the end, showed more interest in his legacy than Sandusky’s victims

Joe Paterno was a liar, there’s no doubt about that now. He was also a cover-up artist. If the Freeh Report is correct in its summary of the Penn State child molestation scandal, the public Paterno of the last few years was a work of fiction. In his place is a hubristic, indictable hypocrite.

Victim 6 mom told me months ago she was told ‪#Paterno‬ ok'd no chgs against ‪#Sandusky‬ in 1998. We couldn't independently verify until now.

I anticipated. It was posted on Sunday.

The blog was about Gricar, but it could have been about Paterno.

The report left me speechless, and that is hard to do. I wonder why JKA felt the need NOT to speak with Free, is she above the law, or can a person just choose not to...

Anyways, it makes me believe she has something to hide...now what could that be?

Gamin tweeted it, and the comments were brutal.

I'm not too surprised. Keep in mind that this was an internal investigation and that she could not be compelled to testify. Also keep in mind that I've been calling for a grand jury in the RFG case to compel people to testify.

JKA has claimed many things over the years, including how much she cared about RFG. She had a chance to disclose everything she knew about RFG's decision publicly. She declined.

I'm surprised there has been no comment on this statement. Paterno "ok'd" no charges against Sandusky. Please tell me someone is investigating that claim.
