Richard's family and friends cope with his death each day, and with some leads but not enough to break the case, police are working through it, too...

Richard had been celebrating Halloween downtown, wearing a Ricky Vaughn Cleveland Indians baseball jersey and drinking with friends. He visited a number of restaurants and bars, including the Federal Taphouse on Second Street ,before the night took him to MoMo's BBQ and Grill on Market Street.

He left the restaurant about 11:30 p.m. and wasn't seen again until passersby said they saw his body under the bridge about 8 a.m. the next morning. The nine hours and how the environmental planner collapsed about a half-mile from the restaurant remain a mystery.
