I found this article after reading the Angels Missing website and think it may be the same body that we have been thinking was Danielle. Please forgive me if I have the area wrong but I am in another hemisphere and not familiar with the area!

Body in N.J. forest is missing mom

PHILADELPHIA, May 1 (UPI) -- New Jersey State Police said Monday a body found in a shallow grave in a state forest in the Pine Barrens is a Philadelphia woman missing for a year.

Taneka Daniels, 27, a mother of three, was last seen May 12, 2005, as she left her boyfriend's apartment, NBC10.com reported.

Contractors working on a dam in a remote part of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest found the almost skeletal remains last week. The body was clothed and wrapped in a piece of blue plastic, buried near the end of a sand road in Woodland Township.

Police have not yet established a cause of death, although the case is being investigated as a homicide.....

Well, according to your post, it sounds like this person has been identified. Funny thing though, I did a search and couldn't find a thread on Taneka which is a shame - I wonder if she had much media coverage?

Well, it's not Danielle. We can still speculate or hold out hope for their safe return.

*bump* There HAS to be some new information out there somewhere.

I haven't heard a peep about this case in months. It's so incredibly sad and frustrating.

What happened to Rich's cousin who used to post on these boards? Anyone heard from him?

OMG, my heart lept, then sank, when I saw this thread had been updated. Then nothing, just a bump...thanks for the bump, not that it's unimportant...you know what I mean :blowkiss:

Still wondering, still praying, thinking of everyone involved.

I just want you to know my prayers are with you.

I haven't heard from Rich's cousin at all. I believe it's a female. I hope that she's okay. DMV, if you've got a moment, can you pop on to let us know how you've been or if there's anything we can do?

I don't know if others here caught it but today, August 28, 2006 CBS The Early Show, reported about the Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone case. The woman reporter mentioned the reward of $100,000.00 for information and gave the details known about the missing couple. There was a brief interview with Danielle brother and Richard's daughter. Heartbreaking.

I got so excited with I saw the heading, I was so hoping there was some new information or resolution. But alas, nothing new.

Or, as much as I hate to say it, a murder-suicide. I'm not saying that I believe that that's what happened, only that that's another possibility that remains.

seems highly unlikely though, since both seemed perfectly mentally stable, other than danielle going thru some marital problems. everyone saw them as happy with their lives, their jobs, their families, and especially their children. plus-- no one saw tham acting distressed or upset that night. i don't think he was capable of that (assuming you mean richard). there doesn't seem to be that level of emotional torment or that "if i can't have you no one will" thing going on. plus how often do you hear of a murder/suicide, and then the vehicle is gone too? he would have to have said "OK i'm driving us off this bridge now"... or perhaps drove far away and did something, and the truck is out of sight somewhere... i seriously doubt that's what happened.

think about it... how often do you hear of a woman going missing in a situation where a man has made threats? it's always "woman goes missing after a fight with her husband,, he was the last person to see her"... yeah,, wonder who did it? ...so in this scenario, it seems that the odds are high, that this ex or soon-to-be ex-husband wanted the child for himself, didn't want to go thru a messy divorce that could cause him financial problems, and also wanted to get revenge on the guy who had bruised his ego by stealing taking "his" woman's affections. (never mind that he was unfaithful himself!!) i could see this guy having "connections".. and i bet there is a LOT of underground operations going on in places like NY/jersey (highest population in the country, mafia connections?).. i always wondered if this was the case in kristine kupka's case too. obviously the 'professionals' are the best at covering their tracks.... so why not pay them to do whatever you want done?
what is frustrating is why can't the cops/detective crack these cases. don't they know about these guys? don't they ever do undercover stings and bust them from time to time, and figure out how they operate? i guess they do, but it's still difficult.
as for the ex-- sorry, but his lack of giving a damn (by all appearances) and the fact that he seemed to have no problem going on with his life makes him highly suspect in my book (not that you can't fake emotion, and still be guilty though).

only other thing i can think of,, is that someone wanted his truck. perhaps they went to a country road somewhere to talk, and that's where it happened. it seems to me that more & more people are going missing because someone wants their shiny new vehicle. this is probably also an thriving underground business, i would imagine.

i hope the fasmily gets some amswers soon and justice is served... whoever did what they did has gotten away with it for far too long.

HEY JERSEY GIRL,

Sorry, I have been missing in action. I hit the skids with my personal life and well...

So, as far as this case is concerned, what I understand is that the fbi supposedly had leads they were working on. The nature of the who, what, and where, is very very very confidential. Suffice is to say people have come forward for reward monies, I don't know who, and I don't know if money was given to them. But it seems the FED's and Phila police are still working on it. As I understand this as cryptic as it seems, they FED's know more then they are telling and the have connected many dots, but not enough yet to make any arrests.

Could all be bull dong, many they don't know anything, but they are still actively investigating. We know that rich is not coming back and that well... someone planned to do harm to them.

Otherwise, when I learn real information and when an arrest comes, I will touch base.

Thanks for the continue interest and support.

Hi Reb-

Let's think about something for a moment:
1) history repeats itself. I believe in this case, there was motive and opportunity.
2) There were known threats
3) Consider the underground and or dirty cops. Think of attorneys and Doctors.. non of dime each other out. Honor amoungst theives. So in the case of crimminals or dirty cops, the web is very tangled and it is hard to bring the truth to the surface. Someone who snitchs will have to need the money or plead out.

Whoever did this, knew how to hide evidence, had a plan, and executed that plan. That is not to say they did not leave a trail or that the FEDS have nothing. They just need the right pieces before they make any arrests. Without a witness or pyhsical evidence, they are cautious to not make any bad moves.

Thanks for all the support.

Not a murder suicide at all. The FEDs have enough info that they no it was not a murder suicide or car jack.

Since getting deeper into this case, I really never believed that either Richard or Danielle was capable of doing something like that. But I'm sure that it's an angle LE had to pursue.

I am SO sorry that no arrests have been made yet. I can't even believe how long it's been. What a nightmare for all of you.

I hope things are straightening out in your life. I've missed having you around, and I think of all of you often.

Hi JG.
Thank you for thinking of me. One day at a time....

I certainly hope they arrest the person soon! It's maddening to think that the person is free to go on with his life.

I am so glad tho hear what you wrote.. it gives me hope that this case can truly be solved and some justice meted out even if its slow in coming. I just feel so terribly for these 2 parents who will not have the opportunity to see their children grow and develop into adults and miss out on all that happens while doing so. Its so unfair for these children to have the burden of such loss so early in life.. life is complicated and difficult enough with out having to cope with a missing parent. just so darn unfair... especially not knowing what happened and where Rich and Danielle are..or having any closure. My deepest sympathies on their loss. and my prayers that justice is finally served to those who are guilty in this case.
