Aww that's really sad. It really seems as from what I read that there is evidence there. A matter of the officer releasing it and another firm source of information. Would be great. Bumping for this girl ...

there's another forum (not sure about the rules here, so I won't link to it but it's easy to find) that has thousands of comments about this case. A poster upthread alluded to it; it was taken over by bullies masquerading as psychics.

hopefully people here will be better than over there.

I don't want to come off as a quack, but I have read about freelance photographers capable of the most heinous of crimes. I came accross this book and thought it looked a lot like her.

There seems to be a lot of activity recently in the search for missing people that have long been deemed 'cold cases.'
With a very heavy heart, my thoughts are with Tracy and her family as an anniversary of Tracy's disappearance draws closer.

the DA's words seem to translate "we just don't have enough evidence to convene another grand jury or arrest the person or persons we have in mind."

Any idea when this book was published?

Looks like the book was published first addition in 1995.

That's not her in the picture. Similar looking I guess, but definitely not Tracy.

they had every tv station up here for just that small lead? Interesting. It's a good lead though.

There seems to be a quiet push from national centers to look much more in-depth at the patterns of missing persons. Something to be grateful for and I'm sure the thankless work of many people behind the scenes.
Near abductions are parts of patterns that aren't captured in state or national databases the same way missing person's cases are. I hope this lead can turn up some peace for this girl and her family.
