Size 9? I'd lay odds that's about the size JMK wears. He's a smaller man. My husband is 6 foot and wears a 10 1/2 to 11. This is something that makes you go hmmm. :waitasec:

My husband is 5' 10" and wears an 11. Isn't JMK like 5' 6"? I'd say a 8-9 is probably what JMK wears. I'd love to know if he had some Hi-Tec boots.

My son is 9, the same age as Burke was, and he is a big boy for his age, and he wears a 6-7 in men's.

Same here, I have a 9 year old son and he has big ole feet, bigger than all of his friends yet he still only wears a man's 6 1/2 wide which I can tell you is sometimes hard to find in a shoe he likes.

I am not sure that the shoe print was a size 9 at the Ramsey house but would like to know if anyone can tell me.

DEBRIS IN WINE CELLAR

Smit's argument: Pieces of debris from the window well were found in the basement wine cellar, where JonBenet's body was found.

Peanut-type packing material: Foam peanuts had accumulated in the window well, and lab reports determined that one of them was found in the wine cellar, about 60 feet away.

Leaves and debris: Leaves and debris from the window well were observed on the basement floor directly below the open window.

Unknown shoe tread: One print appears to be a tread from a shoe but doesn't match shoes owned by John and Patsy Ramsey and doesn't match any shoes found in the house. The print is in the cellar near where the body was found.

Hi-Tec boot print: Another print belongs to a Hi-Tec boot, which also does not match any shoes owned by the family.

Oh, I hear you. My son is 11 now, in a 9.5, but he hit men's shoes in third grade. Isn't it great to go up a half size, 6 to 6.5, and then immediately the shoes cost TWICE as much? What's with that?

Anyway, I concur, even a very large 9 year old's foot is only about a 7.

And JMK has a petite frame even in his earlier pictures and home movies. So a 9 really would make sense.

It's hard to understand why they would take the evidence photos of the basement window AFTER they removed this stuff, not before.

I thought LS's theories came from using pictures which had been taken by the BLE, hopefully on 12/26.

I doubt they were taken immediately, as LA had been left at the Ramsey home for hours, with little or no help. JonBenet had not been found yet, others were tramping thru the house and basement.

That packing peanut is worthless. For one thing, they were in the corners of the window well, not the area where the "intruder" came through. Second, the dirt and leaves on the well itself were completely undisturbed. You can actually see that in the photo.

Just a red herring.

I prefer bubble wrap. LOL When Mr Tybee goes out of town I put big bubble wrap peices in front of my doorways and down my hallway at night. That and my dual chihuahua alarm system help me sleep safer.
Oh geez Tybee.....knowing you I had no idea where you were going with the bubble wrap thing. I was thinking all kinds of things. :innocent:

Just gonna toss my :twocents: in about the shoe size. My son is 5' 8" and his shoe size is a 14 1/2.

My 15 YO is 5'7 and I just bought him new shoes Size 11.
The 10 1/2 he had outgrown.
I think someone who is 5'6 could wear a size 11.

When I was single, I had problems with a peeping tom and a "secret admirer" who used to send me letters and leave me messages on my answering machine with French phrases, so I would sleep with a hanger and can of hairpray next to my bed. I figured that AquaNet Super Hold could do some serious damage. :D

LOL...Yeah, that AquaNet held my mom's beehive hairdoo fully errect for a week or more! I remember her scratching her head with a pencil and her hair would lean like the Tower of Pisa, and she's just shift it back in place. He'd be easy to spot after he was sprayed! He'd be the guy who looked like he had a ton of botox...He'd be Sprayed Stiff!

But that's a bit creepy that someone was more or less stalking you.... :(

And here is a great post by Jayelles regarding this print.

Sorry but a youth size 5 that Burke would have worn and a man's size 9 1/2 are not merely half and inch different in length. Go to any store and put them side by side. There is difference in width, height and length. No way Burke wore any she that would be considered a man's size 9 1/2.

I can tell you that for certain. My husband wears a size 9 and my son's friend who is here all the time and leaves his shoes right next to my hubby's is a youth 5 1/2. My husband's shoes are MUCH larger than his. They are not even close.

I see but isn't it so that the size of the whole shoe is not in question but what is interesting is the size of the logo. The whole print was not really visible only the logo shows up clearly.

  • #38
Yes, it was only the logo that was clear.

I thought the hi-tec boot was a size 10 1/2...and I had heard the news that JonBenet's footprint was found in the wine cellar.

Packing peanuts could be explained away...after all, it was Christmas and Patsy wrapped gifts in the basement. She also opened up the MyTwinnDoll in the basement before wrapping it. FAO Schwartz wrapping paper was also found in the wine cellar....where Patsy stated she entered Christmas Eve to retrieve presents she hid there.

Where are her footprints???

Just another piece of the puzzle--Patsy used the wine room to hide things.
