I just can't get over how hard it would be for me, to just sit back and let someone trash me publicly in front of thousands and thousands of people. Having it happen in a divorce with mutual friends was bad enough for me. I did pretty much just let it go (on the outside) and didn't retaliate or anything like that. She has to have a plan or reason for handling things the way she is, if she is ok.

I have no doubts that personal donations went up when RC told about his troubles. He seems to be relishing in the sympathy and using it in every avenue he can to gain.

There is nothing this man does IMO, that is pure. It is all strictly self centered.

well she must not be such a crazed sinner like Ron said when he trashed her like she were satan. her SIL proclaimed - recently mind you - that Hope is a wonderful woman and she loves her blah blah blah.

I was led to believe, thanks to Ron that Hope was a disgusting who was thrown to the curb for her horrendous disgusting behaviors.

"over it all and laying low" is VERY contradicting to Ron's crucification of her being a sinful mentally ill woman...the worst any professional has ever seen! If she is laying low, than that church has been scammed.

It takes strength to just let people trash you and not feel the need to defend yourself but there is real freedom in it.

I think she is most likely finally getting some peace.

I hope she does write something...even just for therapeutic purposes of not keeping what is likely A TON of stuff inside that she's never shared (particularly in terms of her relationship w/ him)

And then I hope she finds someone to do a mock up cover and send it to him as if it is a tell all book and freak him out for a bit after all the sharing stuff that should never have been public that he did!

But if she is lounging on an island somewhere, we don't get to use our trip as an excuse to scope things out (and write some scoop on the "apostle" and visit Hobby Lobby! Ha) do we??? lease:

if that were true, why would her SIL be praising how wonderful she is? if hope did something so shameful and worthy of embarrassment to the family like that, the family would be singing a diff tune I would think...but only ron is - to his congregation.

it sounded like what ron claimed to be the issue w/ hope, is enough embarrassment and he is using it to his advantage.

I still am getting a scam feel about all of this. I don't think hope is a victim nor in some rehab recovering from sin....

Ron the aPOStle just irks my soul. You can just look at that man and know he ain't right in the head. He has that fanatical look that looks like he has been hitting the Jesus Juice a bit too hard. I don't know what is in his particular brand of Koolaid but he needs to lay off of it for a while.

I hope that Hope is removed from this situation and plotting her course of life contentedly as she writes her memoirs/expose that will blow the cover off of this disgusting sham of a church. After all, these churches are male dominated and used to dealing with submissive little women who stand by their man when he is busted with hookers, gay lovers, illegitimate kids, drugs, etc.

But it also occurs to me (MY opinion only) that Hope may have left Ron and wanted a divorce an wouldn't take no for an answer. Ron may have agreed to the divorce and a large $$ settlement but ONLY if Hope signed a "no disclosure contract" which would mean that she agreed not to speak out against him or the church or her experiences within it. I would imagine that Ron would NOT have signed such an agreement in return so he is free to speak ill of her, twist the truth, knowing that she cannot really fight back or she would lose all of the money from a settlement.

No news of Hope but just adding some interesting info I have found.

I discovered who was the "builder" of the RWOC in 2003. It was Roe Messner. Now who is that, you might ask. the person who produced the money for the $265,000 payment to Jessica Hahn to cover up a brief sexual affair.

billed PTL for work never completed on the Jerusalem Amphitheater at Heritage USA.

In the Bakkers' fraud trial, Messner testified for Bakker's defense.

was listed as the single biggest creditor of PTL with an outstanding claim of $14 million. In court papers, the new operators accused Messner of $5.3 million in inflated or phony billings to PTL.

wound up being convicted of bankruptcy fraud.

divorced his first wife in 1993. At about the same time, Tammy Faye divorced Bakker. Messner and Tammy Faye married soon after.

In 1996, Roe Messner was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for bankruptcy fraud charges

Odd that Ron would choose such a man to entrust with building a church. He hardly has a stellar record. Hmmm.
