Does anyone have a link to a statement or quote by Ron that states that Hope is in rehab in Texas? I have only ever heard him say out of state or maybe a nearby state.

:seeya:

Hi there, panther! Seems like long time no see!

It isn't making sense to me that women of the church who have gone to Hope Carpenter's seminars are not collectively speaking up for Hope and demanding to know the truth. Where is the loyalty these women should feel to Hope?

IIRC, the same thing happened to the wife of the leader of Scientology. She just suddenly disappeared and people got concerned for her. I cannot remember the husbands' name, but he had given some outlandish story as to why she was gone and it was to have been of her own free will. One of her good friends finally got someone in authority to check on her and speak with her. She claimed to be okay. This is too much like what has happened to Hope Carpenter. We cannot know if either of these women are truly okay or what pressures are being brought to bear.

This is so totally ridiculous, IMO. Who is standing with Hope and where are her loyal friends and followers?

:moo:
Hello there! :seeya:

I truly do hope she is in an out-of-state rehab and is there of her own free will. My thoughts are, however, that the flock will not question their Pastor Ron and will take his word for whatever he tells them. There may be some loyalty to Hope, but he is their leader and he could not possibly be speaking anything but the truth to them.

I call shenanigans on the 'one year therapy program'. It doesn't exist.

And reconciliation is off the table? Another case of the preacher making up the rules as he goes along. (And I am married to one- so no flames please)

She-nan-i-gans!

DITTO from another RN who worked psych./ detox. and rehab. for a few years.
He is SO BSing people...

Also, there seems to possibly be some kind of real estate scam going on up there with his church and a black church organization. IF you copy the URL that comes up briefly in Hope's " sexy talk" You Tube video, it takes you to another site not appearing to be associated with Ron's church at all. But- there is a liaison of sorts and I think it is real estate scamming, possibly of underprivileged black people. I usually avoid ALL mention of racial distinction but the website she links to is exclusively AA.
Can someone more familiar with S.C. tell me if this is unusual?

First of all, I suggest you revisit Post 128 and 137 this thread.

Ron Carpenter's church appears to be made up of at least half if not more Black or African American parishioners. His church is noted for breaking the color barrier that exists in South Carolina churches.

Yes, I could see the make up of the congregation in the YT video. My point is that his religious machine megachurch is called one thing, then Hope is promoting the Women's Conference, which has an affiliation with the Agape ( The Wall) organization, which appears to be exclusively black on their website. I found links to The Wall and financial institutions which are privately owned mortgage loan businesses.

I read this earlier and got distracted so forgot to comment.

On first reading I immediately thought something is up.

The poster who reported their worries to LE,have they followed up with you yet?

Id be interested in hearing from someone who last spoke to her that isnt her husband.

One comment.

1 Timothy 3:5 If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?

All the masquerading and covering up only contributed to this exploding problem. It is appropriate to always bring darkness to the light. By masking and avoiding it only causes the problem to become more and more volatile and over time it becomes so big it explodes.

I am glad the years of lying and masquerading has finally been exposed. Pastor Carpenter allowed his "mentally sick" and unstable wife parade around for years like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Just several months ago she was at a church preaching. Was Pastor Carpenter not worried about her mental stress at that time. He allowed her to go to events and churches and feed people the word!! HE has no excuse for this. He is and was her spiritual covering and allowed her to continue to fool the people. As far as trying to keep his children and the congregation from hurting and not knowing hat she was doing Did he really think the people at WROC were that ignorant and dumb that they didn't know there was a problem.

And one last thing~ We have heard his side of the story. As Dr. Phil says "There is always 2 sides to the pancake". Brace yourselves WROC for this ride because I can tell you when she becomes "well" she will tell her side of the story and you may not want to hear what she will say. Praying for this whole terrible situation. I close with what I started with 1 Timothy 3:5 If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?

I find the comments interesting- and how is it that not ONE of the commenters has their hinky-meter bury the needle over a ONE YEAR therapy?? Not one?

And the fact that he claims to be talking to her therapists? HIPAA applies to everyone.

Again- there is no one year inpatient therapy that puts folks in isolation and has their therapists telling spouses that the patient is the worst case they've ever seen. It is an out-and-out LIE.

It just about made me cry to see Billy Graham's name on that Charisma website. I used to watch his revivals on the black and white TV with my parents when I was a little girl. I've read the bio of his wife, Ruth, and I know she was a beloved and cherished wife for all their marriage.

I think Ron Carpenter is ALL BS. He believes in Patriarchy, or male supremacy, and women are to glorify the life of their husbands.

I am really starting to think she may have had some evidence of HIS wrong-doing, so he " put her away", as they used to say.

Okay. I guess I misunderstood what it was you were intially saying.

And to take that further, again, worst case of what???? If he is indeed having these conversations with a therapist (which I do not believe) and sharing information with the congregation, why not expand on the topic? This is exactly why I do not believe any of it.

This Ron guy certainly has a lot of people that idolize him. I agree with the other poster that stated the congregation is going to believe anything their leader tells them.

Watching his speech about visiting his wife with the kids made me want to vomit. It's all about him..him..him..and people ran up to the stage throwing money on the steps.

How in the world can you hold relationship seminars when you don't have you own house in order? It would kind of be like having lunch with someone and they are eating greasy fried food and preaching to me that I need to eat a salad. I doubt I would want to have lunch with that person again. That's about the nicest analogy I can come up with.

He was praised when he joked about his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addiction. He was showered with sympathy when he told about his sons struggles and monopolized off of that and now this. He's probably started writing the book already.

I've seen it all in in-patient psych. and NO one ever says a " case" is " the worst ( of something, anything?? ) they've ever seen!!!

He is putting her down by using hypothetical words and things he THINKS the professional community does and says.
He's so wrong, I have laughed a couple of times. Man is talking out of his wrong end if you know what I mean.

I've been trying to find that 🤬🤬🤬🤬 statement for 36 hours! Do you have it bookmarked??

WHY are people on that Charisma website saying Hope's been " gone for a year already?"
Is the date on the YT video a year out of date?

Please help me understand how long this woman has been missing for real.

In today's message Pastor Ron mentions that he took his 3 kids with him to visit Hope yesterday, out of state. It is the first time the kids have seen her in 3 weeks.

He said that where she is, they check on her every 15 minutes.

That bit of info was mentioned at about 17:00 + in the video. I haven't finished listening to the whole message yet so I don't know yet if there is further mention.

I said it last night and was questioned for my opinion... I understand the questioning, I respect it as well!

Tonight I will say this... Either Hope is dead, or she is in hiding.

Over the last 24 hours, I have thought about things and looked deeper into the church and her videos. I wonder if she left to protect herself from him. The only thing that gives me pause on that is the fact that she left her children behind.

In my heart, I think she is no longer with us. Part of me still likes to think she was just trying to escape and thought her kids would be okay. MOO
