In today's message Pastor Ron mentions that he took his 3 kids with him to visit Hope yesterday, out of state. It is the first time the kids have seen her in 3 weeks.

He said that where she is, they check on her every 15 minutes.

That bit of info was mentioned at about 17:00 + in the video. I haven't finished listening to the whole message yet so I don't know yet if there is further mention.

Just re-read this. Is she on a suicide watch? Wasn't there something earlier in the thread regarding sex addiction? And the children (not sure how old they are, however) are allowed to visit her at this facility? Also, up thread, another statement that she can check out whenever she wants yet her case is "the worst they have ever seen" and she needs to be monitored every 15 minutes? Contradictions on top of more contradictions.

From what I understand, no one other then her husband (Ron) has verified she (Hope) is still alive.

There has been talk about children visiting and what not, but so far no actual verification of that.

The posters claiming to be church members aren't questioning where Hope is at all! I am in disbelief yet I also am not surprised as that is the nature of being in such an organization, he expects them to trust him and they expect they can trust him.

In this day and age we should have heard from them if they had actually checked. Police agencies are very vocal when they do something, they are less vocal when they don't.

ETA: Sometimes they check in and find probable cause, they don't broadcast that because they are building further evidence to convict someone of something.

In my opinion it is very dangerous to place blind faith in one man, especially in a church setting. Does this RC have a board of deacons or anyone that he is accountable to ?

A few years back I'd looked up some info. on the Jim Jones and the "People's Temple" debacle. Crazy and sad stuff, and I wondered how people could have become so deluded. The main things that stood out were that the Guyana tragedy didn't happen overnight, and that there were warning signs for church members who were alert.
Not saying that this RC is anything like J.J.; and the circumstances are vastly different.
Just that people in a church or any organization need to be aware of one person who has too much power --- or aware of anything going on that makes them uncomfortable.
Again my opinion only.

On first reading I immediately thought something is up.

The poster who reported their worries to LE,have they followed up with you yet?

Id be interested in hearing from someone who last spoke to her that isnt her husband.

Not yet. I will call them if I haven't heard back by Tuesday and I will ask to speak to someone experienced with domestic abuse. He is verbally abusing her in her absence, I can imagine how he did so in person. I will stress the same points I did in my online inquiry, his disparaging of her after she left, an alleged one year absence in isolation, and no reports from anyone confirming they've heard from or spoken to Hope outside of Ron's claims her family has been in contact with her.

I live in Greenville, SC, about 15 minutes from Redemption World Outreach Center. Possum Kingdom is an area, a community, in Belton (a town) and is about 30 minutes from Greenville. RWOC converted a movie theater into a church. As such, it had no windows. My husband always said not to trust a church with no windows, ha.

Anyway, a local talk show host has had a reporter digging and (on Friday) promised that there would be some revelations on his show on Monday. Ron Carpenter actually called his show on Tues? or Wed? after his initial sermon about Hope. Host mentioned it a few times last couple of weeks and how there had to be more to the story. It's Russ Cassell on 106.3 NewsRadio WORD. His show is 8-12 am EST. Over the air, invited RC to call in again on Monday. Should be interesting.

Why would they? They - like most people - are taking the word of the preacher man as gospel. My guess is that he was banking on that. And banking on making his wife sound so much like a degenerate that no one would care.

A year or more from now, when they find her body, there will be nothing to tie him to her murder. Perfect.

IMO The only person you should put blind faith in is GOD. Everyone else should be questioned. JJ and RC (this sickens me but remember Charles Manson) should be questioned! One human man is never the true director of how we should live our lives.

It saddens me that some people want to give a human man that much credit. (Yes, I know Jesus was a human man.) This is not the case in this situation. RC seemed to have no accountability within his church, except for Hope. The big question NOW is Where is Hope?!
