Patricia Garrido

How old is she, 78 or 88. If she is 78 that would mean she was only 60 when Jaycee was kidnapped by Phil and Nancy. And in one of the parole reports in 2001 she answered the door so she was definitely mobile then. You bet she knew that Jaycee was not Phil's little girl. He was in jail when Jaycee was conceived and born. And you bet she knew about the rapes. Where the heck she think the two babies came from who had her son's eyes. Obviously not Nancy.

Allegedly, she thought that JC and her girls were PG's from 'former lovers'/extramarital affairs. I'm fairly certain she knew better, though. She knew and there was no way she was willing to send her "boy" back to prison. She felt it was a bad place for him to be the first time, she didn't want him going back. She kept his secret for him, just like Nancy did.

She did long for daughters of her own, after all, and was saddened by the fact that she only had sons. PF said this, herself, not me.

ETA: IIRC, she is around 88.

I remember reading that too and thinking then was a load of bs. What mother would give up her daughters, not once, not twice, but three times? The first time when the girl was only 11 and the second and third times when they were just babies being nursed by sister no. 1. Did not make sense the first time she pleaded ignorance and it still makes no sense.

I just wonder who said she is too old to be in jail?
And now she is in a home for the aged as if she is normal and belongs there?
How did she circumvent the law? Where is her cell?

i dont know many demented people that can speak as coherently as she does.

i think what annoys me most, and what was born out in garridos own motion, was the fact that jaycee was made to 'help take care' of this woman. like that's her damn responsiblity, to take care of the nutjobs nutjob mother. when garrido nancy and the girls went to san fran, i can take one guess who it was taking care of wacky patty back home.

I finally got around to reading the parole reports. (Thank YOU, Angel Who Cares!, you've done a great job at keeping us all updated!!!!) Frankly I've been looking for something like this since this case exploded. The "2002" parole report indicated that PG & NG weren't at home AND that "(PG's) Mom showed me their room." Obviously Patricia Franzen was not only coherent, she was mobile! This was 2002! She was not bedridden at all. Jaycee was already 22 years old at this time! GRRRRRR!!
To the best of my knowledge there is no law that abstains elderly people from being prosecuted for violating the law! Why is this woman not being indicted and prosecuted?

Second question, why do you all think Jaycee used the name Alissa "Franzen"? (Not, Garrido?) (And by the way, I think that is the "second family" she was referring to in her comments during the interview.) But WHY use Franzen? PATRICIA FRANZEN imo, is not only an accessory, she may dang well have been the mastermind!

she was using franzen cause garrido was claiming she was part of that part of the clan i think.
i doubt she's the mastermind though, she's just the enabler

Patricia Franzen should be in a cell right next to Phil and Nancy. This woman is guilty as hell and should face the music just like her darling Phil. :furious:

Poor or Nancy could lose her home. so sad so sad.....NOT

Contra Costa County will slap a $24,000 lien on the property near Antioch where Phillip and Nancy Garrido are accused of keeping Jaycee Dugard in sexual bondage for years, after a cleanup last year of mounds of trash, hazardous wiring, junk cars, dilapidated structures and an open septic hole in the yard.

The cleanup followed three separate law enforcement searches of the property on Walnut Avenue after authorities learned that Dugard and her two daughters, fathered by Phillip Garrido, had been living for years in a hidden compound of tents, sheds and outbuildings, never seeing a doctor or enrolling in school.

The lien, which the Board of Supervisors approved Tuesday, adds to a growing public debt on the property where authorities say the Garridos held Dugard since they abducted her in 1991 at age 11 on her street in South Lake Tahoe.

The county tax collector claims more than $7,000 in back property taxes and penalties owed on the property, along with $1,300 in unpaid taxes for the current year. Property taxes have not been paid since 2006, and the property would go to a tax sale as early as next year if the bill remains unpaid.

The cost of the "nuisance abatement" was billed to Phillip Garrido's elderly mother, Patricia Franzen, who lived with them through Jaycee's abduction and up until recently, when she moved into a local care home; and to his brother, Ron, of Brentwood, under a conservatorship.

There is more. Apparently this lien is one of the matters the Garridos want to talk about and it is not even their house.

There are other numerous references to Phillips mother in these reports. On 6/12/2001: "subject is not at home, left instructions with subject's mother to report next day". Would a parole officer leave "instructions" with an incoherent, bed-ridden person? I don't think so!!! (Oh, and by the way, he did as his mother instructed.) Another report says her bedroom was the one at the rear of the house, the one closest to Jaycee's prison, the one mostly likely to hear screams from!!! Several different p.o.'s not only met her, but obviously talked with her. I see no mention of her being bedridden until April 2009. WHY HASN'T THIS WOMAN BEEN INDICTED???

Another report, covering supervision from 6/1999 to 11/1999 indicates that "Garrido was living with his wife Nancy Garrido and his mother Pat Garrido", not Franzen. I find that interesting as well. Why back to using the name Garrido?

And the document on 8/26/09 says: "source of support: mother" and "unemployed". What happened to the happy family printing business?

So these reports certainly establish that there are people who can at least for certain say whether they felt Ms. Garrido/Franzen was within all her faculties at the time they met her. Where is their testimony, and WHY hasn't this woman been implicated and indicted? Is it possible she is a source of information and getting a deal to cover her own arse? Nah, I dunno, the thought just came to me.

The old witch needs to go to jail.

absolutely.

but as far as i can tell, nothing is being done...no grand jury, no indictments. they put a lien on her house, whoopdie doo

Well, now she is under conservatorship it has been proven in some way she is incompetent. And the poor boy who is the conservator . . . sorry but Conservatorships in California are a Court Nightmare. Believe me, her finances and his dealings with her finances are going to be under a microscope. California rules requires original documents, NOT COPIES, etc.

Still, Nancy Garrido's lawyer argued last week in a court declaration that the couple "have extreme civil problems concerning their property in Contra Costa County." That's one reason, along with their desire to go over the criminal case, that the couple is asking a judge to let them visit each other in the Placerville jail. Attorney Stephen Tapson said he was unaware of the lien but that the Garridos are concerned with the property. "We want to know what to do with it," Tapson said. "Now there's another problem, so they've got to come up with the tax money or lose the property." :furious:

This really angers me. They don't even own the property. They should have taken care of it for his mother, all they did was further trash and degrade the property, and they want to know what to do with it! Talk about Chutzpah! It's Ron Garrido's problem now as Patricia's conservator. I think he should pay up the county as best he can and the property should be condemned/burned/sold or made into a beautiful memorial or park.
