Thank you anthro ... I had forgotten about the Shelton's

He didn’t want anybody to go near the yard and nobody was allowed behind the gate. Mike recalls one time the lock on the gate was broken and Garrido appeared to be almost in a panic until it was fixed.

Is this a gate to the property next door or just one from the house to the back?

I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline as far as when the old guy moved out. I guess the house was just vacant for part of 2006.

I still think Garrido was fooling with his GPS too. They must still have all that data though so that is going to reveal a lot?

Well heck yeah he was, and the report implies that. Why else was it off for nine hours on some nights? And why else did the report say one of the alerts indicated a possible total disconnection of the strap. The PO's should have been all over this guy!!

Is this a gate to the property next door or just one from the house to the back?

I understood it to mean the gate across his driveway, before you get to the carport. It's chainlink and has white strips through it. I can't find a good picture of it. See to the right?

A little O/T for this thread...I just saw on TLC that there will a Jaycee Lee Dugard story at 9ET/8CT tonight. I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned elsewhere.
