Patsy Ramsey is close to death

We reap what we sow Tipper. A lot of people are justifiably angered by the Ramsey lack of co-operation with the very people who were working round the clock to find their daughter's killer.

What amazes me is how Patsy remained cancer-free for so long amidst what must have been unbelievable stress. I have often wondered if the stress she suffered as a result of JBR's murder released some kind of cancer-blocking chemical?
Just the opposite. I have cancer and I know stress makes your body weaker.

Patsy survived alot longer than women who aren't wealthy would due to good medical care. I was hoping that she would remain cancer free so that at least women could have hope that someone could survive the higher stage ovarian cancer.

Yes, stress weakens your immune system. Even cold sore break out are some times related to stress.

I wish someone could confirm or deny PR being near death,as I have heard this a few times over the years.

Becba, I am as certain about this information as I am that Patsy has cancer.

I confirmed it with a very reliable source in Michigan after Susan Bennet, the Ramsey nutcase, posted on her site that Patsy needed a miracle.

The definition of "close" is where we run into the grey area.

Does close mean tomorrow or by the end of the year? I don't know. I would venture to guess that close means within 30 days but that is a guess.

I don't know if Patsy is in Michigan or in Atlanta. I do know the time is close.

First of all - I am sorry to hear that you have cancer. It is a dreadful disease and one which I donate freely to in the hope that treatments and research may continue.

I know that stress is bad for us and that it would hinder recovery from illness. However, I am not talking about the usual kinds of stresses in my post above. I did cite the example of people being able to lift cars during extreme stress. I don't know if there is a correct term for this but I am trying to draw an analogy with the "fight or flight" kind of stress - as opposed to the normal debilitating kind of stresses.

I guess I'm not describing this very well.

Patsy went through a major trauma and often humans who experience major traumas have a hormone/chemical release which makes them capable of achieving superhuman feats. I wondered if Patsy had experienced this and whether in her case, the chemical release had served to block the cancer and enable her to survive much longer than everyone else who was on her programme?

There is another woman who had cancer and who survived a long time when her daughter was murdered. I cannot remember her name though. The little girl was about 10 I think when she died and the mother lived for years to campaign against the release of the murderer. This was in the UK and it happened years ago. The mother was portrayed as being at death's door for years. She's dead now, but she found the strength to live through her determination to find justice for her daughter. Patsy hasn't exactly fought for justice for JonBenet - but both ramseys fought for justice for themselves.

You are correct Jayelles.

To me, this is the saddest part of the entire JonBenet murder saga -- the parents self-centered behaviors at the expense of justice for JonBenet. Even in the book they authored, "Death of Innocence", the innocent subjects they wrote about were themselves, John and Patsy, not JonBenet. The lies and coverup being carried out by the Ramseys, thus denying justice for JonBenet, makes it difficult to feel honest compassion for what's going on healthwise elsewhere in the Ramsey family.

Close to death usually means the liver and/or kidneys are in failure or the lungs are giving out and it is only a matter of hours or days.

If the posts were accurate about the cancer being in her brain several months ago, than it seems likely that she may be in her final days now.

Just put this down as one of the saddest cases we have covered. So many unsolved murders. Many go by the way, unknown by most everyone. This one will go on forever in the historical record of unsolved crime.

Will the murderer of JonBenet ever kill anyone else? Perhaps 'they' are doing so now, with Patsy.

That would be Ann West, mother of the little girl Lesley Ann Downey killed by the Moors murderers. An amazingly brave woman who fought cancer of the breasts, overies, bowel and liver. She was determined to see the court sytem uphold the governments decision to keep Myra Hindley in prison for life and she died just a few months after the final decision was confirmed.

That is exactly who it was - thanks Enola. I had the name "Leslie Down" in my head and I was thinking "No that's an actress" (probably got that wrong too!). I could picture Ann West's face in my head. Poor woman - it broke my heart every time she spoke on tv. She was amazing indeed.

For about ten years everytime i saw her on tv I thought, "She looks like she won't last the month". Just an almost super-human will to survive. I knew who you meant straight away.

Finally at peace with her daughter and knowing that Hindley never did get out alive.

I hope that Patsy has a peaceful end, as much for Burke as anything else. Hopefully this will finally allow some information - from whatever source - to finally come out.

My warmest wishes to Patsy. I hope that as the end approaches she is sustained by her faith in God, and by the knowledge that she will soon be with her daughter again.
