Patsy's remembered on LKL thurs link below

We just had the Lofquist case here in the Chicago area in which the dad was a Sunday school teacher, fine upstanding citizen, business owner with no history of violence. The girl was strangled over the bathroom toilet and stabbed, and now it's coming out that she may have been sexually abused as well.

You can't say that just because someone doesn't have a history of violence or abusive behavior that their first episode can't be fatal. It's not the common criminal pattern, but it does happen.

I said that they ganged up on him. I didn't say that he was intimidated by it, or that they won the battle.

They lost, big time. They tell blatant lies, cut him off in the middle of one of his questions AND his answers to their questions, and generally behave like a couple of smirking horse's asses.

The best argument they can come up with for him is "prove what there is in my background that would make me do something like this".

Problem is - Thomas isn't talking about their personal history, he's talking about the evidence, and about their actions after the murder.
No they wanted to hear about the evidence as well. How were their actions after JBR's death wrong? They were grieving parents.

I heard about a guy with no history who decapitated his son. Can't remember the specifics right now...

Drat. LKL is one of the few programmes we get here which covers the Ramsey case. I recorded this programme this morning on the tv's hard disk. I could have watched it - but I lazily decided to leave it till later. What happens? Along comes my Darling Hubby and he deleted it! Unintentionally - he says it was a slip of the finger.

Was it worth watching?

A few years ago there was a case here where a scout leader with an exemplary character record battered a girl to death on the beach. He turned himself in fairly quickly. Turned out that the girl had been tormenting him and she lied to him that she was pregnant. He "lost it".

In the trial which followed, the girl was portrayed as a notorious troublemaker with a bad reputation. OTOH, people were literally queuing up to speak for the young man's character.

He ended up getting a suspended sentence - i.e. sentenced to x years but set free on the understanding that he would only serve the sentence if he got into trouble again.

So true. Downright creepy how these supposed bereaved parents came off like smirky puffed up teenagers pleased with themselves for having gotten away with something.

Thomas wasted his time trying to deal with the case seriously... and Larry King, as usual, wasted valuable air time on guests he couldn't (or didn't want to) control and a case he, as usual, knows nothing about.

Editing to add, this link is for LKL's show/Friday.--- I'm confused! :bang: I just realized the heading for this thread was for Thrusday. What was on Thursday? Owell, it's late LOL AnyHOO this is for Friday/LKL.

Jayelles, that's a bummer! Here is the link for the transcript. We've seen this interview of JR and PR before, all that was new was Wood/LK's comments in between an old pre-recorded interview.

Part that irks me the most is when PR calls JonBenet, a young child and this child! Well a lot more irritates me too!

Yep, they checked on BR, sure didn't wake him up to see if he knew anything! WIERDER than WIERD!

P. RAMSEY: I can understand because there was no one leading this man with any leadership capability to investigate the homicide of a young child. I understand that. I know the first time that I interviewed with then Detective Thomas I saw the passion in the man's eyes. He wants to find the killer of this child. It's just that he's going down the wrong path.

"This child," "that child," etc. Never "JonBenet."

Thank you LaMer (long time no see!).

Now for the next question. What's the story about Climey Jeff Shapiro? Elsewhere he's being called a BORG, but I thought he was pro-Ramsey?

He certainly didn't seem that way on "The O'reilly Factor" last Wednesday! His was the most damning interview I have seen in the wake of her death.

You know, this is one of the things I just cannot take issue with.

I think some people just use those words and I really don't see anything wrong with it. My best friend uses similar wording when referring to her own son and no-one would ever question her love for him. I believe this is the result of regional dialect. JMO.

Well, I never said it was conclusive, Brefie. I just find it odd.

The only thing good about the LKL show was that they showed the Steve Thomas episode. Of course LK was an idiot and interrupted or did not control John Ramsey at all. It could have been one of the great shows and we could have seen a lot more of Patsy. She is very stoned on the show and John cannot answer a few questions here and there. But he is more experienced than ST and LK and so therefore he was able to pretty much run the interview. They did not show the part where ST says to PR "I think you are good for this". Probably the best part of the show.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW LARRY KING MANAGED TO GET AS FAR AS HE DID.

All I know, Solace, is that if he made his millions doing this....there is hope for all of us :D

Especially being DEAD for ten years?

My grandfather (adopted...long story) met him. And from what he said, LK is the biggest a$$ he's ever met. No wonder the guy can't stay married!

Whatever Patsy was on, I hope it's not commercially available!

In the opening of the show, ST comes right out and asks Patsy why she did not submit to an interview for 4 months (which she did not, 4 hours of questions on the day of the murder and not one on one, and exactly none the next day does not amount to an interview. Lawdy, lawdy, how they do lie. Of course she says you weren't there Steve and repeats and repeats that. SOOOOOOOO, instead of letting Steve answer (the interview he is waiting for, correct?), idiot LK interrupts and says Steve you weren't there. If he had a scintilla of compentence, LK would have said, Well, Patsy, we realize it was the day of JB's murder, but you were allowed (and he should stress allowed )to leave at 2:00 and go to your friends home with no more questioning that day, and the next day the police came to your home and your lawyer intervened AND NOT UNTIL 4 MONTHS LATER did you submit. But, of course. Larry is a moron and did not ask that question and we will never have that interview again. Also, when John constantly interrupted ST and at one point would not answer one of Steve's questions, Larry should have said "John in fairness to everyone, please let ST answer and also he should have said to John, in fairness to you and ST, why don't you answer the question, that is why you came on. But Larry is hoping to not upset John for fear he would have left.

But John never would have left; he is trying to convince the public that he is innocent and by leaving he would have done the opposite. So he let Patsy and John out and out lie on television and let them get away with it I was not 100% sure that Patsy did it, but after this interview I am 100% sure that they are both lying.

I TRULY, TRULY HATE LARRY KING. :furious:
