Paul McCartney & Heather Mills split

Link please to the Sun Story.

I do feel that Sir Paul is acting in the best interest of the child. Now and in the future.

The money that he paid to Heather Mills ensure that she will not leave the child with nannies etc. while she is off on her "charity cause".

Some people will put their own self interests, promotion, ego, and their "work" over and above the well fare of their own child.

Heather does seem this type, so Paul steps in to ensure the child has a normal loving home.......

Not that Heather would be home much and then the child would feel that her Mommy does not love her, because he is off again to some place else, while the child is left behind......

I don't think so......

From the current issue of The Star:

"While contemplating the situation, he [Paul] flashed back to a huge blow up during a skiing vacation in Verbier, Switzerland the month before. Neighbors could here Heather screaming at Paul in their chalet. "Heather lost it, a source says. "She's frightening when she loses her temper."

"According to one British paper, Stella told her famous father: "I won't tell you I told you so, and I don't care how much it costs you. I'm just glad [the marriage] is over."

"Although McCartney's breakup announcemnet insisted that "our parting is amicable, and both of us still care about each other very much," sources say the reality isn't quite so civilized. One insider described "a mismatch made in hell."

"As might be expected, Heather didn't make a great impression on McCartney's children......."Stella detested her from the start," a source says. "Paul hates friction, but the day he married Heather, he opened the door to warfare."

"But Paul finally decided to pull the plug on the marriage, friends say, because he was sick of being publicly humiliated by Heather. "She was always inviting her friends over for girlie nights," a source says. "She's send Paul packing and make him take Beatrice with him. She'd bluntly tell him, "You're not here tonight!" In the end, though, sources says, Heather miscalculated badly. "She thought she could dominate and manipulate him," says a source. "But she misread him. Paul can be steely tough."

"Nor is he afraid to admit a mistake. He recently sent a single rose to his friend and ex-publicist, Geoff Baker, whom he parted ways with, reportedly at Heather's insistence. "It was Paul's way of admitting he'd made two mistakes," says a source. "Firing Geoff and marrying Heather."

Kinda hard to believe this is the first time he is hearing about them. More likely it is the first time they are surfacing in the news. It is common knowledge in England that Mills had a rather racy past. I think that Paul McCartney was so smitten by her that he went into major denial mode, and just ignored all warning signs. There may even have been many palms greased to keeps things out of the press. Now all bets are off, who knows.

It is funny how it is showing up now when there is NO prenuptual agreement and Paul wants full custody. Just my opinion but me thinks Sir Paul is not that devastated, he knows what he is doing. Ms Mills is NOT walking away will half his fortune or his daughter.

If Heather Mills thinks she is dealing with a dummy, she better think again.

I just heard on my local news that a British Court has granted Heather sole custody of Beatrice to Heather with Paul having visitation!

I'm very surprised - I thought they both would have agreed to joint custody.

ETA - I can't find anything on this elsewhere!

Was this a preliminary hearing that will be modified at a later date? This seems awfully quick to have gone through all of the hearings, etc.

Actually I thought they would have also. I think joint is best, unless of course one parent is unfit. I wish them the best of luck and lots of patience with each other. Raising a child with both parents heavily involved is always best for the child. :)

Despite a U.S. television report, Heather Mills McCartney has not gained full custody of Beatrice, her 2-year-old daughter with estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney, reps for both Heather and Sir Paul tell PEOPLE.

Sir Paul's U.K. publicist, Stuart Bell, tells PEOPLE the claim is "total rubbish."

And Heather's U.K. rep, Anya Noakes, tells PEOPLE, "Michele is Heather's U.S.-based publicist and a friend of hers, but I have absolutely no idea why she would have said this as no decisions have been made about custody of Beatrice."

the only time i have ever seen her interviewed was on LKL several years ago when he devoted a whole show to her and her line of prosthetics, so it does not surprise me that he has scored again. the most interesting thing i got from that interview is that heather did not know who paul was. she did not know about the beatles (she claims) and thought all they had ever done was that cartoon, the yellow submarine.

The People link I posted above had this on the LKL show:

Noakes also said that reports that Heather will appear on Larry King Live were "not true – no plans at all."

Jules :blowkiss: Thank you so much for posting this. I know I heard it right on the radio but couldn't find anything to verify it!

My local radio station usually gets all it's news from CNN.

Jeana I thought it was too soon too, but thought it might be interim custody pending divorce.

The report I heard was quite specific even going on to say that Paul had
offered her so many millions to retain custody "but the Judge thought differently". LOL. I bet Paul was steaming and rightly so.

That's the feeling I got. Here in the states, they have to select someone to have primary custody until the rest of the orders get worked out!! I think she's entitled to way more than Paul offered her.

Is there anyone who can explain the English titles to me? I understand that Paul was knighted by the Queen and that he is now "Sir Paul".

I did not realize that Heather was entitled to be called "Lady" because of that. Does she lose that right once she is no longer married to him?

Are these honorary titles like Paul, Elton John and Elizabeth Taylor got anything that gets passed down to children or do they just belong to the person to whom they are granted, and when they die the title is gone?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can clear this up for me.
