Paul McCartney & Heather Mills split

Is there anyone who can explain the English titles to me? I understand that Paul was knighted by the Queen and that he is now "Sir Paul".

I did not realize that Heather was entitled to be called "Lady" because of that. Does she lose that right once she is no longer married to him?

Are these honorary titles like Paul, Elton John and Elizabeth Taylor got anything that gets passed down to children or do they just belong to the person to whom they are granted, and when they die the title is gone?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can clear this up for me.

Elizabeth Taylor doesn't have a title, does she? You have to be English to get one, right???

I'm not sure about the rights to titles once they divorce, but its tricky. Prince Phillip can't be King Phillp just because he married Queen Elizabeth, because then he would "out rank" her.

We've got some Brits here. Maybe they can help us out.

Elizabeth Taylor is Welsh so therefore a part of the United Kingodom. She is Dame Elaizabeth Taylor.

Elizabeth was born in London England on February 27, 1932. so she is English. As for being Knighted by The Queen, when Heather divorces Paul she loses the title of Lady. The children don't get the tiltle either it is not handed down, because it is not a royal succession title. It is an Honorary Title only given to the person.

Wonder where I got the Welsh from? Must've been thinking about Burton. Also, her parents were American so that probably explains the no British accrnt.

FWIW, a tabloid article this week says that Heather wouldn't hesitate to slap Paul when they got into an arguement, and that there were many arguements.

I can't believe Paul is that big of a wuss, he must be scared of her. I smacked my husband in the face, when we were not married all that long, and he told me that if I EVER hit him in the face again, he would hit me back. That was my fair warning, he said if I could dish it out, I better be prepared to take it, he would not put up with such demeaning treatment. Something in his voice told me not to find out if he was bluffing.

There is a piece in the NY post today saying that even as far back as 2002, Paul was performing in NY and she was acting like a diva. Keith Richards could not stand her, everyone who knew them was saying then this will not last.

There are now reports in the British tabloids that Heather was a high priced call girl at one time. Someone she used to "work" with gave an interview, and also someone who had hired her confirmed the story.

To get the story, google "Heather Mills McCartney" and click onto "News".

Now I heard she plans on suing alot of people for maligning her in the press. That just goes to show you what she will do to stay in the limelight.

Tis true, if you give it, you better be able to take it.
I'm not into guys hitting girls at all......but when they do everything to provoke a fight, it's like....well you got what you asked for.

More news on Heather

She should've known better than to act so self-righteous with her PETA crusades with this stuff in her past, it usually always come back to haunt you.

If I were say, Jennifer Lopez, I might come out with some kind of advertisement that said "I may wear fur but at least I don't give bj's to strangers" or " 20 animals may have died for this coat but at least I have my dignity".

MACCAS AT WAR

Heather blew her top after Macca, 64, this week began formal divorce proceedings and blamed her "unreasonable behaviour" for the break-up.
He is said to have described the ex-model as "argumentative" and "rude to staff".

Furious Heather, 38, immediately hit back by vowing to file court papers that tell her side of the story.

As the couple last night appeared to be on the brink of an ugly public battle, a friend of Macca's insisted the ex-Beatle merely wanted a no-fuss divorce.
The friend added: "He has stipulated there will be no tears and tantrums, just a clean break.

"Paul just wants to get this over as quickly and cleanly as possible and put the whole sorry episode behind him."

I don't fancy her chances at besting Paul McCartney! :croc:
