Paul McCartney & Heather Mills split

I'm sure Paul is not the wonderful God he's made out to be and I'm sure Heather is not the angel she's trying to make herself out to be. A lot goes on in a marriage that the public never sees-who knows what the two of them were like behind closed doors.

While I have no real love for Heather I get a little tired of the "poor Paul" version of things. He's 60 something, was a member of the biggest rock band ever, and has scads of money. I'm sure everyone-family, friends, lawyers, financial advisers were screaming-prenup, prenup and he chose to disregard that. The man has more money than god-you can't tell me in his whole life he's never seen a gold digger or had a clue that some people are more interested his money than him.

edit because I can't spell
I dont think its a Poor Paul thing at all..not based on it being Paul McCartney. He has stood the test of time..if he was a maniac without a heart we would have heard about this somewhere along the way..people dont fool people for a lifetime..not in everyway-and all the time.
Rumors would have swirled by people who saw Paul and Linda together over the years..believe me someone would have loved to leak it to the press.
I also think some of this happened..but we dont know in what context.
What if Paul was making a fun coment or a sexy comment about her breasts?
What if he did restrain her in a fit of her own rage..what if she was drinking and he walked away from her in disgust saying u are an ungrateful 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
The problem with the whole thing is that it makes Paul look like the second coming of Scott Peterson when he has a solid track record as a very good person..
All of a sudden she comes along and he is a monster.
I think he does drink and smoke pot to excess and so on..but that doesnt mean he is mean or a monster when he does.

Writing things down out of context can make people look very bad..and if your spouse or mine listed everything we have said or done without explaining the context we could all look like abusers.

There is alot more rumor about Heather from her ex's etc. that paint her in the light of an untrustworthy person. She is not an emotioanlly safe person to be around.
She is a all about herself.

She has to know how what she is saying will hurt Pauls reputation (built over 40 years), in a irreversable way..I dont think someone married to him for a short time should hold that much power..its an abuse of it if anything.

I just dont know what to make of this..things go on behind closed doors that we cant imagine..but I really dont trust her.
Its sad if she is correct and just because of her crazy rep she cannot be believed.
I sure hope its all made u.

Sorry if this is a repeat of something that has already been discussed, I haven't read the entire thread. I read the other day that Heather is now accusing Paul of abusing Linda. How, I wonder, would Heather know this? Linda's friends and family deny it, Paul denies it, yet Heather insists it's true. So where did she get that information?

The DJ for the Radio station that I listen to said that Heather has a long standing reputation in England as a liar, that Americans are just beginning to see the real Heather. I'd like to know Heather's history.

I think Heather is the dysfunction in this relationship  .. I've never heard anything bad about Paul, and as big as he is, the press would love to find something on him.. The only thing I know that caused a stir, is his arrest for marijuana..

Lady McCartney to sue newspapers

Heather Mills McCartney is to sue two newspapers over "false, damaging and immensely upsetting" claims surrounding her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.
Legal proceedings will be taken against the London Evening Standard and Daily Mail, lawyers for the 38-year-old said.
Solicitors Mishcon de Reya added that legal action will also be taken against The Sun.

The British press are most certainly dogs of war. it honestly wouldn't surprise me if the latest pot-stirring is entirely made up by them. the British tabloids know no bounds.

You probably aren't in your late 40s or early 50s. There have been plenty of stories about McCartney over the decades. Mostly that he's needy and old school when it comes to his women, and more than a touch narcissistic. Bear in mind this was a man whose mother died when he was young and has a lot of abandonment issues and has basically been able to call the shots in not only his life but the lives of those around him since he was 20. I know someone who knew all the Beatles as a fellow professional musician in the 1960s and basically you have to remember all these guys came up in households where using the back of your hand on your wife was pretty much an accepted part of the culture. Ditto the drinking.

I don't believe Linda McCartney was the type of woman to put up with physical violence. She was not dependent on Paul for money and she had her own career when they met.

I believe Paul was extremely lonely after Linda's death and made a huge mistake with Heather. Her own father sides with McCartney. I think she is a loon looking for money.

I agree with this... If I recall correctly, I think he jump kind of fast, and for someone so many years younger than him.. I'd say he was very lonely...

How can she be a loon looking for money when she was already established and independent when she met him? I don't think she's the type to put up woth domestic violence crap, either, which is why she's in divorce court.

She's in divorce court, I believe, because HE filed for divorce.

Oh, please! People had barely heard of her until she started dated Paul. He was excellent publicity for her.

And she is in divorce court because he refused to put up with her antics.

You don't have to be in your 40's or 50's to know who the Beatles were.

I grew up with them and I'm not 40 or 50..

Surely you don't believe everything you hear BGG?
They were probably just that 'stories'.
I think if Paul were a wife basher someone we would have heard about it before now.
Mills is a digger, plain and simple.
