To me it has started to look like the 911 call was orchestrated and that more and more family got dragged into a cover up. I can't see it being Misty's decision on how to handle it - whatever horrible thing happened to Haleigh - but think the actual cover up decision came from Ron. Next question is why? The man seems to have anger management issues he announces to the world from Day One.

I suspect the truth of what really happened is that awful, but what is even more awful IMHO is they have further compounded the grief Haleigh's mother and family are experiencing due to not knowing what happened to Haleigh...
Ron and his family know what happened and they have kept this from Haleigh's mother for over a year now...Can you imagine the HELL they are going through not knowing the whole truth eventhough the truth in and of itself is already horrific ? JMHO.

Em, I truly feel that has been one of the +'s for Ronald in all of this. The video from early on in the case that shows Marie hugging Ronald and Ronald keeps his arms stiffly down at his side spoke volumns to me. If Ronald is the one responsible for harming HaLeigh, I think he can live with it just fine because, in his mind, it wasn't his fault; it was Crystal's for leaving him, his mother's for abandoning him as a child, his grandfather's for dying on him, Misty's for wanting to run off with her friends like most teenage girls do...I think he finds great pleasure in the pain this has caused, especially Crystal and her family... IMO Ronald has some saddist attributes in him but that's just my opinion. The more he hears Marie speak of the pain at not knowing what happened to HaLeigh, the more he delights in his secret and sadly I see this quality in TN as well.

JMO, but I believe with all of my heart that Ronald, Misty, TN, and Grandma Sykes know exactly what happened to Haleigh.

Aprilshowers, I have to respectfully disagree with you. My reasons:

1. Both MC and RC gave the police alibies before they said Haleigh was missing.

2. The extremely BAD acting.

3. They weren't running around the neighborhood calling her name, banging on doors.

4. TN comes over, wearing her LE jacket, with a large picture of Haleigh in her hand and it only takes her 10 minutes to get there when (according to Whisperer) she lives much further away.

I think the 911 call was orchestrated also. But I believe the cover-up ideas came from TN. She is the only one who could think this through - or maybe GGMS.

I have no sympathy for Marie Griffiths because when HaLeigh told her she was being physically harmed in her father’s home both Marie and Crystal ignored HaLeigh and did not confront Ron to get to the truth. Marie is a dysfunctional mother; she did not go after Crystal when she left home at 14 years of age to live with Ronald and she never cared to find out how this mysterious man named Ronald was treating her daughter and grandchildren so Marie never knew Ron which explains why he goes limp in her presence.

Because Crystal was physically abused by Ronald, Marie and Crystal they should have been extra motivated to check into these allegations HaLeigh was making IMO.

I stopped myself from saying that, but I was thinking it. I've gone so far as to imagine Misty and Ron somehow having to cover for TN. The call was orchestrated. Ron acted the angry fool, and Misty the dumb gf, and TN is ready with her jacket and media ready photo of Haleigh.

This has dragged on an entire year. I feel outrage that group of people dared to go on tv with their lies.

With all due respect Bluesky, the purpose of my post wasn't to solicit sympathy for anyone, it was my observation and opinion regarding what I feel enables and motivates Ronald's continued ability to lie - period. All of what you state may very well be true but, as for me, after an entire year of discussing all of these same issues over and over again, all of which have nothing whatsoever to do with who the actual offender is who took this baby girl's life, I am refraining from spending another year debating over issues that are not directly or immediately related to the person(s) who harmed HaLeigh and those who are covering for that person(s). It becomes, IMO, a wheel that just goes round and round and round... I don't want to spend the next year on the same ride - I'd rather focus on locating HaLeigh's remains and seeing that justice is done... MOO~

One of MC's stories involved her washing blankets before she put the kids to bed and yet they were still dirty. Also there was no laundry soap in the house. If Haleigh OD'd they may have found traces of vomit. lack of a breakin and no foreign fingerprints.

There was a report released early in the investigation that said LE arrested Joe which turned out to be false.

Sounds to me as if LE is looking at this case as a Murder Case. This is the first time a reporter has come out and said it as well as LE. In the past we hear Nay Nay talk about the Haleigh case as a homicide investigation and a few others as well and it always struck me as odd, because LE had never in the past stated that they were treating it as a Murder investigation.
If you listen to this video report it will shed some light as to where LE is one year later, and yes the Sheriff says that the reality is that Haleigh may not be alive. LE also now says again that "Nobody Has Been Cleared"![/U]

At around 1:26 the reporter picks up a box of case files and says this is a box of files for a Major Murder Investigation?

LE said they are not closer to where Haleigh is and Misty is the key to the break in the time line from Feb9th-Feb10th. There is "one" piece that is missing to shed light on what may of happen to Haleigh.

Sheriff also says:
LE also feels who ever did it is someone in Haleigh's life that knows Ron and or Misty, and that nobody has been ruled out.
Sheriff said he has hope that Haleigh is alive, but feels the reality is that Haleigh may not be alive.

Nancy knows as well as anyone that LE rarely clears someone 100% unless they have an airtight alibi. Apparently, Ron does not.
Makes sense if they can't prove what happened or when it happened or who caused it.

If you will notice, NG will make her producers/investigative reporters state these things. I can only assume it's because it will give her an out if they turn out to be wrong. Yes, you're right, Nancy does know better, but she's put all her money on this horse and she's running with it.

It was Misty that identified Joe as being at the MH with a friend....unnamed.
It was Joe Misty was scared to be around.
It was Joe that stole RC's gun.
It was Joe that slept in his clothes.
It was Joe that was known for picking locks.
It was a very nervous Joe that left the next day.
