So the lawyers wanted to quit after she was convicted, but were denied? What would she have done for the remaining part of the trial if this were granted?

Could this be something she could appeal her death sentence on (if it is given)? That her lawyers wanted to quit and were denied, so she feels they did not effectively argue for her life? Or maybe that's WHY they made the request! So she'd have another possible avenue to appeal?

This has got to be such a quandry for the DT. Ethically the attorney is bound to represent the client's wishes. But what happens when the client wants to die? If Kirk and Jenny are like so many of my defense attorney friends, the only thing that has kept them going with Jodi is their belief that they might save her life.

I mean really think about it. How demoralizing it must be to give her your all, embarass yourself and your witnesses, become pariahs in your home town, ALL to save her life. And what does it all come to by Jodi's own uncontrollable hand? Of course they want to give up -- I know I would. Let Hell have her and be done with it, but the Court of Law won't let you go.
