If anyone thinks that is possible, then I have a great beachfront property in Staten Island I want to show them!!

If you can give me a good deal on it, I'll take it.

I want to believe those tears of hers were for Travis and his family and not for herself. I want to believe that Jodi will end her campaign of evil after this final phase of the trial. So that Travis and his grieving family can finally find peace.

Good evening, All! Hello Kitty! :seeya:

Good evening Sleuth5!

Still taking in everything from today...hearing more of Samantha's statement. So sad.

What is Steven's occupation?

Yes! They think she used a rotary saw and bled him out in the shower! It was horrible!!

I read John Glatt's book about the murder "To Have and To Kill". I couldn't put the book down! It was an unbelieable crime! Just awful! She is the female Scott Peterson! I will never understand why people just don't divorce their spouse if they are unhappy.

Yes, good book. Another face of evil!!

She used a reciprocating saw. I remember that because when that trial was on going I had just bought my hubby one and it felt so creepy.

Where's FragileOne or Whisperer? They should be able to tell us whether this could be true or not.

I'm neither of them, but I think with her recent suicide watch, and psych evaluation, they may have given her a little somethin' today. This is the first day I thought she looked drugged.

What is Steven's occupation?

I don't know if he is still in the Army now or not. He was when Travis was murdered.

I just keep wondering if she had only stabbed him once and he died how would this trial have gone.

I think the brutality of 27 stab wounds, slit throat, and gunshot to the head is a big part of why so many people are so wrapped up in the case. If she had stabbed him just once it may not have made the news beyond Mesa/Phoenix. Also the extreme cruelty factor, as presented by Mr. Martinez, would have been absent. And, even if it's not, a single stab wound could look more like self defense than 27 stab wounds, slit throat, and gunshot to the head. I'm sorry to repeat myself there, but as I was typing I realized the audacity of claiming self defense in the attack JA inflicted on Travis. It takes some really whacked out thinking to believe they could convince anybody that was self defense.

If she hadn't just wiped her face with a tissue she had in her other hand, I wouldn't have believed it myself. Who knows but those co-inky dinky thingies happen way too often with the convicted murderer. JMO

Just my observation, but she looked absolutely horrendous today. Definitely not someone who the jury would find any sympathy for.

MOO

Estrella is a jail. She will go to prison. Hopefully Perryville. She would then wish she was on death row.

Fingers crossed......

It must be an AZ thing, because I know you're right. We've seen this in other trials. They are to the defendant, not the jury. As it should be, IMO.

Remember that woman who went nuts at Dahmer?

BUT the difference is the JURY decides life or death. VIS pleas by the family are going to the decider of JA life. TA family could give two <censored by me> about JA.

Makes banker's hours seem busy, eh ? What a giant waste of tax dollars to just skip 20% of a week every week for every trial.. that's bold misuse but I'm not in AZ so I guess my opinion doesn't matter.

Court runs 5 days a week in all jurisdictions of Arizona.. I think we found out why it's only running 4 days because of Steven's statement. The Alexanders fly back to Cali over the weekend. I think the Judge may have taken this into consideration when the court docket was being scheduled.

Oh, by the way. Hey Mitigation Lady. Charles V called. He wants his cross back.

OT and yes, Melan*e McGu*re's faux pas in getting caught were those pesky GSP tolls and E-Z pass if I'm not mistaken. Sorta' like JA and the memory card in the camera. Ha ha!

(From a former GSP-er Exit 63, LBI---motto "Jersey Girls Don't Pump Gas").

I teared up when Steven looked up at the sky when he was about to read Travis' writings.

This case makes you do a lot of thinking.

I heard that Juan will NOT get to cross-examine Jodi. I heard that she will just stand and talk to the jury. I think Darryl would take Jodi's place and let them put the needle in his arm. I think he would lie for her because he is still in love with her.

Jean Cesarus reminds me of that gossipy neighbour down the street who watches everything, and attaches a sinister meaning to it.

I guess that make her the Gladys Kravitz of HLN.

I was told that AZ runs court much like they do in DE. There is simply no trial on Fridays. Fridays are reserved for 'legal housekeeping.' It's not to accommodate anyone, just the way the courthouse is run. My jury duty here in DE never included Fridays but the last wonderful Bailiff we had urged us to come on a Friday and observe if we were so motivated. I took the offer :) Not addicted, am I?:floorlaugh:
