Oh my - HLN showing a clip from NBC Today Show - with Sandusky's atty. The attorney is saying that they ahve tracked down Victim #2 (McQueary event). Not only have they tracked the victim down - the atty also just said that the "boy" is saying IT NEVER HAPPENED! Really? OMG - this is just fugly ugly.

Can't read due to firewall at location but... really? I don't want to hear it. But it may give me insight on what I'm missing.

Thanks. I thought there'd be a little more at the link and it was blocked here.

See the above video from 5 years ago. Joe Pa's brain is "checking out" (nurse lingo).

I watched the video and the problem, as I see it, is that his moral compass seems to have "checked out" prior to his brain.

It is profoundly sad.

Ohhhhh....it was the attorney that tracked him down. I misread and thought it was the news reporter.

How do they plan to PROVE it is the same boy? I'm sure old Jer has a few boys in his pocket that he has "mind raped" who he can coerce to say whatever he wants! This just stinks. They can not prove it is really the boy. I still wonder if that poor boy is even alive. Maybe he killed himself. Or maybe Sandusky had to do it since there was now a witness. One thing is patently obvious after hearing his interview though: Old Jer is a malignant narcissist. Totally sick.

Can't blame the kid. I'd deny it my damn self.

Simple way for Sandusky to blow this out of the water. Pass a polygraph.

I suppose they can get the boy to produce a photo of himself in 2002 and see if McQueary can identify him? If not, it will be the boy's word against McQueary's.

Wrt the bolded part - I wonder if they've gone through the Second Mile's records and checked if there are any suicides or missing children among those boys who were involved with the charity.

New info from McQueary.

McQueary on alleged rape: 'I did stop it,' did have discussions with police

In the email obtained by The Morning Call, McQueary wrote that he "did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police" following the alleged incident between Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant coach, and a boy. McQueary also wrote that he "is getting hammered for handling this the right way or what I thought at the time was right."

"I had to make tough impacting quick decisions," McQueary wrote.

In the email obtained by The Morning Call, dated Nov. 8, McQueary said "I did stop it, not physically, but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room."

"No one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds," McQueary wrote. "Trust me."

PHILADELPHIA - Documents released by a Philadelphia-area representative show The Second Mile, Jerry Sandusky's former charity, raised money for the judge who freed him on unsecured bail.

Rep. Mike Vereb said in a statement he wants the state Supreme Court and Attorney General to review what happened at Sandusky's arraignment last weekend.

You might find this interesting regarding Graham Spanier, former president of PSU.

While a researcher, he contributed to the publication of ten books and over 100 scholarly journal articles. As a family sociologist, demographer, and marriage and family therapist, he was the founding editor of the Journal of Family Issues.[4] Spanier was also an author of a study in the Archives of Sexual Behavior concerning the practice of mate swapping, or "swinging".[5]

Spanier served as chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Hmmm.....so McQueary is saying he DID have discussions (note the plural) with police. What he didn't mention is WHEN he had the "discussions". I sure hope investigators were able to find some record of McQueary's report. Did the police bring Sandusky in for questioning regarding the 'eye-witnessed' rape of a child? Is there a record of that I wonder?

I still can't help but wonder why, even though McQueary claims he "stopped the attack", he didn't make a citizens arrest and call law enforcement IMMEDIATELY? The child could have been identified and taken for medical attention right then and there.

I am sure he talked to the police 10 years later.

Well, if this is the extent of what McQueary had to say to CBS's Armen Keteyian then we really didn't learn anything new or unexpected. Basically, his emotions are crazy, shaken and all over the place like a snow globe. When Keteyian asked him when he thought he would be ready to talk Mcqueary said he didn't have anything else to say and that the whole process has to play out.
