Histrionic Personality Disorder my aXX! Jerry's inappropriately sexual behavior wasn't directed at anyone, but young BOYS=pedophile.
Do you suppose that Dr. Jack Rayovitz gave Jerry this diagnosis? :furious:

Thank you to everyone that is posting info from this trial today! :)

I don't think Jerry Sandusky has Histrionic Personality Disorder. I always thought he was a narcissist and psychopath. He is deceptive and clingy, yet presents himself as friendly. Sandusky is immature. He reminds me of Bernie Madoff, Casey Anthony, Lori Drew, and Jim Jones.

I wonder if any of Sandusky's victims could be girls as well as he has adopted one daughter.

They should press charges against Dottie, so maybe she will turn state's witness, and spill the beans. She knew exactly what was going on. imo

Dottie should be able to sit in the courtroom during testimony. It would benefit the jury to assess her behavior along with her husbands. It sickens me that she escapes the details in the courtroom!

I think it has to unanimous-but I could be wrong-This guy worried me when I read that to!

It has to be unanimous, either way. If it's a hung jury, Sandusky can be retried.

I'm very proud of #4 for that...hope they all stare him down until he has to put his head on the table....

BBM - This is probably the guy who was grinning at JS during jury selection...I'm wondering if one person like this who seems friendly toward JS, or maybe just the school, can stop him from being convicted...IOW, does the jury have to be unanimous on all the counts or a majority vote is enough? TIA

Seriously? They let a guy onto the jury who kept smiling at Sandusky?

After seeing how violent some of the people into Penn state football could be towards those who spoke out against the corruption and cover-ups of Sandusky's gross and criminal behavior, I have my doubts about the jury's ability to be objective here. "Oh well, a few kids get raped. But we have a great team, right?"

So Dottie and the son were at the hotel too!!! :maddening:

No wonder they want them to testify. I surely want to hear what they have to say!

Sickening!

All I can hope is the football fans on the jury will become angry at Sandusky for ruining the team. He made the whole thing fall apart. Hopefully they hold him responsible. :furious:

I think Jerry Sandusky wanted to bring down Penn State football because he was not given the head coach position and his somewhat acrid relationship with Joe Paterno.

On the first 8 accusers, Sandusky could face a maximum of 398 years. If everything is concurrent, it would be 20 years. He could out by his 78th birthday.

Presuming he lives that long in jail . . . just saying . . .

I don't think Jerry consciously wanted to bring down Penn State Football or Paterno. His only claim to fame was being connected to the program. His only hold over some of these kids was the promise of football tickets and traveling to games out of state. I think he knew it put stars in some of the parents' eyes as well so they didn't see him for what he was.

No, I believe he thought he would always get away with it, and his buddies would cover for him, including Paterno. No reason to believe otherwise, since that's how every Grand Jury went before now.

The contract says the victim was to get a 1,000 for graduating HS

Its on WGAL

Under the contract, the accuser would get at least $1,000 to graduate high school and would be entitled to cash incentives for good grades and other activities.

by WGAL 3:51 PM

After the lunch break the prosecution showed what they're calling a contract between Sandusky and Accuser 4.

by WGAL 3:50 PM

There is another break in the proceedings. Expect more updates soon.

by WGAL 3:37 PM

Outside of court, accuser five's attorney Tom Kline, told News 8 that his client is not in this for monetary gain, but to make a change.

"He's part of a larger story that really is what this trial is about," Kline said.

Another interesting turn in regard to Paterno.

Joe Paterno's will sealed in unusual move

BELLEFONTE, Pa. — The last will and testament of Joe Paterno was ordered permanently sealed from public view along with all related court filings at the request of a family attorney, a newspaper reported Sunday.

Even the judge's order and the petition by a Paterno attorney requesting the action were sealed, The (Wilkes-Barre) Citizen's Voice reported. County records indicate that Paterno's was the only will sealed in the county in the past 18 months, the paper said.

A family spokesman said Sunday that the step was intended to preserve "a measure of privacy" for the family and was "not an unusual request for high-profile individuals."

Paterno, who amassed a Division I record 409 victories in more than four decades at Penn State, died from lung cancer in January at age 85, a couple of months after he was ousted by the school's board of trustees following the explosive child sex abuse allegations against retired assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

On April 5, the will entered probate, the legal process for validating the document, and estate attorney Raymond Parker petitioned to keep the matter secret the same day. Four days later, a judge ordered the record sealed.

The decision was "very strange," Wilkes-Barre attorney Jerry Chariton, who has worked on estate law cases for four decades, told the paper.

"Would there be reasons why any family would like to preserve confidentiality? Sure, but that would be true of lots of people," Chariton said. "I don't know what creates any special situation here."

The paper said court officials could not determine Friday which of the county's five judges ordered the Paterno will and case file sealed. Judge Thomas Kistler, who as president judge oversees the county courts system, didn't return messages left at his chambers and home. Parker also didn't return telephone and email messages.

Family spokesman Dan McGinn said Sunday that the step was recommended by the estate attorney "in an attempt to preserve a measure of privacy for the family."

"This is not an unusual request for high-profile individuals, and all parties to the will and the judge readily agreed to the request," McGinn told The Associated Press in an email. "The Paterno family has been totally transparent with respect to Coach Paterno's contract and pension. Sue Paterno has also reiterated her commitment to support charitable causes connected to Penn State and the State College community. These efforts will continue."

Only a court docket sheet remained public record and provided limited details about the former coach's will, wealth and estate:

Paterno completed his last will and testament in June 1997 and filed an amendment in February 2010, naming his wife, Sue, as executor. The estate paid a $200,000 inheritance tax on April 23. The paper said that depending on the applicable rate, the taxable portion of Paterno's estate at the time of the tax payment was worth between $1.35 million to $4.45 million.

Other details came from Penn State and the state employees retirement system. On April 19, the university paid Paterno's estate more than $3 million in salary, television and radio revenue sharing, bonuses and death benefits. The university also said it would forgive $350,000 in unspecified outstanding loans and debt incurred by the Paternos.

On May 22, the state retirement system said Paterno left his wife his $13.4 million in pension benefits. McGinn said at the time that she would give $1.5 million to charity, including $500,000 to the Suzanne Pohland Paterno Catholic Student Faith Center.

The former coach for years sidestepped questions about his salary, and state officials declined requests to reveal his compensation until late in his career. In 2007, a court ordered the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System to disclose Paterno's base salary of $512,664, saying it was a public record.

Sandusky witness: I should have spoken out sooner

BELLEFONTE, Pa. — The first witness at Jerry Sandusky's child sexual abuse trial says he feels responsible for what happened to other alleged victims because he didn't come forward earlier.

The 28-year-old man said Monday he was reluctant to cooperate with the sweeping investigation into the allegations against the former Penn State assistant football coach.

Under cross-examination by defense lawyer Joseph Amendola, the man said: "I feel if I just said something back then ... I feel responsible for what happened to other victims."

The victim himself feels more guilt than JS ever will !

I understand how he can feel that way, but he is not responsible. He is a child. Way TOO MANY adults turned their heads and did nothing. He had enough crap to deal with. What a brave young man for getting up there NOW and facing his monster.

Amendola is saying these things to mitigate what the prosecution will say. Just like in the John Edwards trial when his lawyers said he committed sins but not crimes..................Amendola will go that far IMO. His way of spinning the ugly behavior of Sandusky.

I have my doubts about the jury being objective. I believe the jury could be jaded against Sandusky.

I have a son that is a resident of State College and now a senior at Penn State. Sandusky had posted outside of his home before this semester ended. He may still have a guard posted there (son #2 hasn't looked recently) and this is not because State College residents want to rush Jerry like a favorite celebrity.
