One of the reasons that we escape to this idyllic island in Lake Huron is the quiet absence of motorized vehicles, but at a time like this lack of internet access is a huge drawback.

We're now considering a tablet or other device to access the web during our travels.

Thanks for your post.

Mr. BDE

Dear Mr. BDE,

With the utmost respect and consideration Best Buy is open until 9 30PM.

Guess Amendola doesnt want folks leaping to the conclusion that they share the same interests.

I know, right? I think that, no matter what the outcome, the Sandusky's will be crossed off the Christmas card list.

I know that he was doing what he was hired to do, but lordy, I couldn't be a defense attorney for a case like this. Quite a few cases, actually.

JMO but Sarge had to know what was going on! Come on, she would have to be a complete moron to not know. I think she deserves jailtime too for letting this go on for years and years even with her own adopted children. She is a disgrace and needs to share Jerry's cell with him. That would be KARMA because I really doubt old Jerry was intimate with her considering what else he was doing. Disgusting!!!

I doubt that this couple, despite the length of their marriage, were intimate. Dottie and Jerry probably had separate bedrooms. When she retired for the evening, she went to her own quarters and probably never knew (or wanted to know) when Jerry went to bed - or where. :moo:

Philly Inquirer Quotes from Joe Amendola:

In an impromptu courtroom conversation with reporters, Joseph Amendola compared the former Penn State assistant football coach's chances to a scen from the 1994 movie Dumb and Dumber. In the film, an unlucky guy asks and uninterested girl out on a date.

"One in a million?" Amendola said, quoting the scene to describe his conversations with Sandusky. "So you're telling me you have a chance."

. . .

"You're never happy with the job you've done," he said. "But I did the best I could considering the circumstances. This was a daunting case."

A courtroom bailiff broke up the conversation after about 15-minutes, saying Judge John M. Cleland wanted to see Amendola in his chambers.

Amendola said that the Sanduskys have spent the past two days spending time with one another and preparing for the possibility that the former coach could soon be sent to prison. He refused to answer questions about any ongoing investigations into his client.

He also declined to comment on allegations Thursday from Sandusky's youngest son Matt, 33, who said through his attorney that he had been sexually abused by his father.

When asked whether he had formed a bond with his client and would stay in touch no matter the verdict, Amendola responded: "Jerry and I have become very close."

Then, for good measure, he added: "Please don't misconstrue what I'm saying."
:what:

I'm off to Charles Town, WVa tomorrow. Lucky me! They have free wi-fi and hubby has a Droid I can use enroute. Gee, I'll just miss the action while I'm in the casino.

LOL! What a weekend getaway!

While we are waiting....the letters:
"The B-J Story," describes a relationship that blooms and then falters. "Very few people know about this story and probably less care. I guess that I'm writing it for me. I'm Jer," he began. He wrote that the relationship grew after his own father died.
"It was a difficult time for Jer because he had lost his dad. Jer and his dad shared so much, did many things together. (No.4) comes along and he and Jer seem to enjoy the same experiences. Both seemed to be in need. They loved playing games, competing, singing, laughing, sharing experiences, just being themselves."
He continued, "Jer became attached to (No. 4) and always will be. He and Jer played Polish Soccer, wrote papers together, rode a four wheeler even though Jer was scared to death, studied in the playground, roller skated, ice skated, jet-skied, went to a bowl game, spent days at football and soccer camp, canoed, traveled, and more.
Things got rocky, he added.
"There were ups and downs. There were arguments, fights, they cared! No matter what, there was a connection that would help them last through these difficult times."
But something came between them, "a dark cloud" that "inch by inch" took over and "smothered sensitivity and love."
He ends the letter with a plea: "Jer may not be worthy, but he needs a 'best friend.' It doesn't look real good."

OMG

I think she was relieved that he wasn't coming at her wanting sex. That made it easy for her to turn a blind eye (not a deaf ear because I believe she heard lots. Remember, her hearing IS FINE)

But, wait. Even with a tablet you have to have internet. Unless you get an air card and hi jack a wi fi. I am pretty sure this is correct. If not please let me know so I can get one that doesn't require internet. tia

Dont be so sure he wasnt having sex with Dottie too. Just because he was a pedophile doesnt mean he didnt want sex from his spouse.

I think she knew all about his perversions and enabled him in order for him to satisfy his sickening lust for children. She became like the three monkeys because that way she could pretend that her life was great. She thought if Jer had his boys then life would be just fine and it was always about Dottie and Jer and never about the young boys that were having their lives detroyed.

IMO

With the Ipad, you can get one that is wi-fi only, or can get one with both wi-fi and 4g LTE :) Hubby and I both have HP tablets and he has a Kindle Fire, he just brings it everywhere since there's free wi-fi in so many places. Off topic bigtime, but the new Microsoft tablet looks amazing!
