People Magazine - Caylee Anthony's Family Secrets

Wow...I wonder if BC was paid for talking to them or maybe the As sold more pics for the article so he had to give the interview to them?

If the article remains true to the snip or teaser, it benefits George because it makes him out to be victimized by Cindy.

Further, it seems to imply that things were very tense between Casey and Cindy. So to me the person it benefits is George. It removes him from the rest of the pack-no more public solidarity...it kind of buffers him from the haters. JMO.

That's how I felt, too. I didn't think it belittled George at all, I thought it gave us an unsurprising "insight" into CA's temperament.

So, I would wonder if it were someone who was closer to George than the rest of the crew.

An additional thought-and this is PURE SPECULATION-what if someone close to George was the source, and the article came out without the knowlege of Cindy et all...would that help to tip the scales of George's decision that he could not stand the pressure....simply because it was going to get a whole lot worse when this article came out???

Again, pure speculation...

I would look to a loyal friend/s of George as the source of the comments re Cindy, not to members of Cindy's family or George's family. I also very much doubt People paid anyone for information and I'm also pretty darned certain that People would have confirmed what this source said by interviewing other sources. Also, if CA did belittle GA in front of others, finding people to verify that would be fairly easy.

I haven't seen the full article, of course, but based on what we know of it so far, is there anyone here among us who would find it hard to believe that CA behaved that way to GA? I mean, consider the vicious (but true) things she said about her daughter to Casey's friends... And she actually gives a d@mn about Casey.

All of the above, is purely my opinion.

Hey, Sleuths-- As I posted my last message, it suddenly occurred to me that GA's parents have remained silent and invisible. Is that right? Have we ever heard anything from them?

My thoughts exactly. What type of "good" family member, or person in general, takes gossip like this to the media? He knows Cindy and George are hurting, why make it worse for them?

I agree.

very nice

Well to follow that theory...we should not discuss George's relationship with his father then either. It might upset him. And how would we know about that relationship if not for a "source"???

These people are not going to be treated with kid gloves. When they quit worrying about immunity and start telling the "whole" truth...then maybe I will feel differently. But not until then.

Yeah, I know the A's put themselves out there, but right now GA is in the hospital. When GA's bro-in-law went online to inform all of this stuff, also said it in an interview from their hometown newspaper, GA wasn't in the hospital. All I'm saying is I don't believe it's worth taking the chance of jeopardizing GA's health, if in fact it's proven that he was innocent in all & everything since the beginning. We don't know what they're being fed, the A's, that is. I personally don't have much respect where they're concerned sinply b/c of the way they handled themselves, including LA. Right now, however, there's a man in the hospital that'll be in there for the rest of at least this week. They wouldn't be keeping him if he was in fact healthy. No way could I live with myself if I helped to contribute to somebody's mental instability, which is why I say shame on People magazine.

"I've watched Cindy berate George over the littlest thing, just nasty, mean stuff," a source tells PEOPLE. "She'll say, 'George, you're so stupid,' in front of his friends."

This sounds more like someone from George's side of the family and not Cindy's

Bolded by me. To me, this sounds like it's coming from one or more of his friends, not family members on either side.

With all due respect, People Magazine is the least of poor George's problems.

It could be the co-workers since their information was just released and now we have an article... ?

Not to my knowledge.

I think the real fresh air that many are looking for is suspension of all the Anthony's civil rights.

Thanks for putting this in a different perspective, Friday. I automatically took it as something negative. While I still don't agree with something being published regarding their family at this time, I can see where it could sway GA ... if in fact the article is positive, uplifting, etc. If it shows GA as being victimized and talked-down-to by CA, couldn't that also interfere with GA's recovery? Would he really want people to feel sorry for him, he being a man and all? Afterall, he does love CA...unless of course, I'm wrong...hmmm:waitasec:

The only friend we have heard of is the one who came from Ohio to spend time with George after this all began. I get the distinct feeling neither of them have many friends to come forward so this would narrow the field considerably as to the possible source. ;)

IMHO ,Cindy has had many opportunities to say nothing ( not stuff absurdities down people's throats) or help LE with justice for Caylee.....she made her choices, & the gossip that followed, was largely due to her own creation of this circus we are now witnessing. Yes, their lives have been changed forever, but Cindy is responsible for most of it & she is every rag magizine's perfect dream!
:clap::clap::clap: I so agree!

The "source" appears to be telling a side of the truth which was conveniently left out of the many, many times that Cindy and George decided to grace themselves on every television show and even in the same magazine to lie and further their Alive Caylee BS (imo)...yet the source is at fault in someway? Why on earth should this be considered a bad thing? The truth is why we are all here.

Sometimes, the truth hurts...but there is a dead two year old child and no one is taking responsibility for her murder. Getting to the bottom of this family is the only way to get at the truth, imo. They could have put a stop to so many things from the beginning by telling it themselves instead of other people having to dig into their personal lives to find it. Lying or hiding anything in this case was a mistake on their part and has only added to their burdens.

If it is a family member, they should be commended for stepping forward to tell it like it is and bring to light the issues which could have played into Caylee's murder. It is about time that someone tells the truth and stops painting the picture of a wholesome, healthy all American family that does not exist, imo. Bravo!!
Great post SS! And I agree with every word.:)

Bolded by me. You have a point, JG, you really do. It's hard to know how people under extreme stress will react to anything, including sympathy and understanding. Thanks.

Yep, it would narrow it indeed. :blowkiss:
