Sociopathic personalities behave that way. A "normal" person would be scared to death. MOOWell.......at the moment he's got it made! I find it so frustrating to follow these murderers because when it becomes a high profile case, they get better treatment. Scott Peterson didn't really suffer until he went to SQ. Remember him in the courtroom?...with that smirk! - he thought he was part of the defense team!:banghead:
Anybody else would be quaking in their shoes right now - scared silly. Not him and the likes - they seem to bask in the grandeur!
A few pages ago PattyG posted videos we can watch online.darn, my direct TV is at camp.......I have another cable co. here..............can we make a thread on what you see at those prisons????
Seems to me that whatever Joran's Mother comes up with Joran comes out with the same thing a day later.
I just wanted to say, I hope all of you can understand my abbreviations through my posts when I'm trying to type as quickly as they're talking on the show! I apologize if anyone is confused![]()
I recorded just the "Lurigancho Prison" segment from the National Geographic special.

I captured everything with regards to the Peruvian prision.
Great job panthera...thanks. One thing you missed was that the original lawyer/public defender that Joran had was a FEMALE! There was a comment I believe that this female lawyer said that Joran didn't want to say anything...no surprise there. I'm sure he was appalled at getting a female lawyer. Passed her off as some cop's girlfriend in his complaint I believe.
However it is not her name that is in the official complaint apparently. That part got a little confusing. The name of another private lawyer is in there even though this woman says that she was the one who was there.
I really really reeeeally despise Joran Van der Sloot. Part of me wants them to put him in with the general population but then the part of me that's filled with hatred towards this scum thinks that'll end up being a quick death. Never in my life have I wanted somebody to be tortured, ever. I'd just pray & pray, submit prayer cards in church, pray at night that they change for the better, etc. When I think of what Joran's done, I just want it to be slow & torturous. How deranged is that? I don't feel sorry for him at all, not a single iota. He makes me sick.
I am saying this because you make a very good point, we don't know what she consumed or used or anything before she met up with Joran. I heard reports that she had been with either one or two girls at a hotel all day. I actually believe someone on this forum posted that. Maybe not true, but still we don't know what she did prior to meeting him at the casino. jmo
I am really enjoying watching him try and get out of this, its fascinating. If psychopaths are so good at self preservation however, I wonder at the way they behave once caught. The tactics he is using are doomed to fail and are inflaming the public as well as the peruvian police and justicial system. Its almost masochistic. If he had made a reasonable confession and played along with the system he may have had a chance at a lighter sentence, or even of being extradited to the U.S.
But not now...
Anyway, I'm happy about it, don't ever change Joran - keep turning the authorities against you. He needs to remain behind bars for the rest of his life, and if its in Peru and his life is short, then it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.
What Joran needs all his lawyers to be female....this includes the investigative Judge, and the 3 Panel Judges.......lets see him loose his cool when the gavel comes down on his head......G U I L T Y
That smirk will be wiped off his face but quick.
NG: Joran saying he's the victim and he should walk free.
On phone from Holland, reporter who got interview with Joran at Castro Castro. JC asking how he got interview. He was in contact with Anita; she gave interview so she could explain why Joran was sick in his head. He asked if it was possible to visit Joran in Peru. He flew to Peru on Saturday and went to prison on Sunday; he'd already been put on visitors list. Was taken to Joran's cell; first time he'd met him. He looked amazingly relaxed, laughed, spoke 20 min. with Joran. Didn't tell reporter he killed Stephany; didn't want to talk about case, but did talk about situation in prison. He said he couldn't talk about case because of lawyer's advise. He said police put mental pressure on him to sign reports; threatened to put his head under water if he didn't sign. Bucket of water near where he was when signing, per Joran.
Hi! I haven't seen any confirmation the water bucket existed. I am hoping though that the interrogation was captured on video.....MOO[/b]
Hi, was Jean C, able to get anymore on this?
According to this article, Chile was able to deport him to Peru since he had entered Chile from Peru...guess that was the loop-hole that enabled them to expedite his transfer to Peru:
"Perus Interior Minister Octavio Salazar said authorities in both countries are working in harmony to have Van der Sloot extradited back to Peru.
Salazar explained that can be done in two ways: the extradition process which could take months, or expulsion, which would be toward the Peruvian border, since that was the last country boarder he crossed."

:snooty:Nope, sounds American Jewish!Les Levine - that name doesn't sound Peruvian, Dutch, South American, Aruban to me. I wonder how they chose him to investigate on their behalf.
