That gal was attacked. Her clothes were removed by JVDS. She didn't volunteer, she didn't perform a striptease, she didn't remove her pants to make herself more comfortable. She was attacked and brutally murdered.

I'm curious about this need to find any and all possibilities to shift the blame towards the victim, towards the police, towards the system, towards anyone but that murderer. I'm troubled by the 'blame everyone else and feel sorry for Joran being in this sad situation' posture.

I'm not understanding why sexual assault was ruled out as a motive. He was talking about his inability to "score" with his poker buddies. Then he walks to hotel room with a woman with a catshire grin on his face knowing for sure that he will get some. The woman is found dead with no panties on or only a shirt on and they rule out sexual assault? I'm curious, does she have to be raped for it to be sexual assault? If he TRIED to rape her and she fought is that not considered sexual assault in Peru?

Can't say for sure, but I would say there is enough evidence for attempt of rape, but he murdered her.

The caller may have been the guy from Uraguay or maybe the casino owner? They're both reported as calling.

Were any guests staying in the rooms adjacent to Joran's? I can't believe no other guests heard anything. I remember a hotel employee reporting hearing them fighting... does anyone know what time that was?

Saturday night - I heard a couple fighting 4 houses down. We live in the mountains - very quiet. I heard everything they said. The next day, several trucks pulled up and removed her belongings.

If I can hear 4 houses down, how does anyone NOT hear in the hotel?

nobody has control over the Shining Path, they're guerillos. I don't think they will send him there. And the Shining Path might welcome him as one of them.
Can we find out where they sent the XPresident, he got 6 years in jail. I think thats where Joran will go.

I heard they have a high Maximum prison there in Peru, I thougt he would be sent there too.

Violence was the motive. Murder the goal. Sex would have been the benefit.

Nope. I absolutely wouldn't throw my own money away like that.

I was mostly commenting on the idea that she probably didn't give him money with the idea that he was going to become truthful and provide info. Just that there is another logical motivation.

And from a personal stand point the person we *know* beat my MIL to death is out and about living his life unimpeded, I would cut a check for 25k tonight to have him hauled in on federal charges. Wouldn't hesitate to put him away on another charge.

That he is out playing on his retirement boat, flying his private plane around the country, and breathing oxygen irritates me every single day. I would part waste my money to put that to an end, definitely.

This report says that she was covered with white clothing. Joran had on a white shirt. Would he really be that stupid?

I think I saw this little purse on the video shown this morning on the Today Show when Stephany parked her car at the casino parking lot and walked back into the casino. Something white appeared on the right side pants pocket as she walked.

JC said on the shows tonight (JC did not identify earlier today whether the caller was male or female), and JC confirming again on JoyB, that the call came from a female. Call was from Atlantic Casino. Not identifying name.

Right. I understood what you were asking. I still wouldn't spend $15K+ of my *own* money. Nope. I work hard and I'm not swimming in money so no, I would not spend my own money that would land in the hands of the person who murdered my loved one. Absolutely not. Never.
