Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Yes now that I look again it does look to have moulding of some sort. Maybe a backpack?

Yes - it does look like the bottom of a backpack imo

Since Phoebe was supposedly leaving, why not just let her go? change the locks if there are any.
I know some one said maybe she had information the house mates did not want exposed. I also wonder what her last conversation with the boyfriend was.

The article discusses the neighbour complaint to police with the dogs going berserk and subsequently when police arrive at the property looking for evidence on PB, they find the dogs shot dead.

Why shoot the dogs at the very instance their housemate goes missing??

Dogs are very good at picking up scent.

Is this why they were shot?

Or was it because the place was left abandoned and no one would be there to look after them?
I can't find a report that the dogs were shot, just that they were found dead. Did the police report they were shot?

I believe @mishy66 was saying that some of the early articles contained this information and that after the first few days, those articles were edited to change the story from "shot dogs" to "dead dogs".

Edit - mishy's post can be found here.

Yes, I read that somewhere as well. Rather alarming.

If (jw,tb) were known for nefarious acts in the vicinity. Why the h*ll did the neighbours who heard a female scream not call the cops? (I remember this detail upthread.)

I'd imagine they made Pheobe pay up front for lodging before she arrived.

P probably had no intention of returning once she got on the airplane, and jw,tb knew it. So they robbed and killed her.

Just pondering.
I think that Phoebe became a liability to this pair. Phoebe, given her circumstances and home life, and her young age, was expected to go along with whatever this pair was up to (it's already been reported that they were involved in illegal goings on, and at least Tamika has been arrested in the past)
Phoebe though strikes me as being someone who longed for a different life, stability and love that she evidently did not get from her parents. A lost soul who was stuck in worse circumstances, but still with a fundamental awareness that this lifestyle was not for her ... "these are not my people". She was sadly on her own, at 17, with no support or guidance.

maybe some tracking on the car or a sighting or cam? just guessing. in all the AUS cases, there seems to be a lot of landscape around.
Agree, was just reflecting loud, it is a park you reach by continuing driving on the Gin Gin Bruce hwy. far, and not the same direction to the Bundy airport. Yet there are many other national parks around. But they went to that one. And quite rapidly.
Back to the same initial question, where was she at 8:30 when she called her BF ?
IMO LE is doing an admirable job in this case, and well protecting the integrity of the investigation, because imo there is far way more than the public is told and maybe not what we may be thinking.

I believe that pair had only been together and living in that house for a matter of months, and there had already been police involvement regarding domestic abuse. In that situation it may be that the neighbour was used to hearing fights and didn't call police that time because it she figured it was just more of the same. She also said that she hadn't realised that Phoebe was actually living there, only that she'd seen her come and go a few times.

.

How did Phoebe come to live with these people in the first place?

Are they a couple?

They're a couple. The female is / was a friend of Phoebe's mum.
I'm not exactly sure what the situation is with Phoebe's parents but it sounds as if the dad isn't in the picture and she doesn't always get along with her mum so she'd been living elsewhere.

Another piece of the puzzle which has now disappeared from all media. Editing on various news media timestamped, shows editing has been done hours / following day, to reflect a new narrative that gets pushed by police no doubt.

That's the thing that cant be changed though! People REMEMBERING reading on news media socials, television news broads, etc.

Shot dogs, the neighbours hearing an argument the morning of and they DID call police but the police never showed up!

That was what media were publishing long BEFORE the names of JW and TB were announced.

Hundreds of people remembering the same thing. THAT can't be edited.

Then someone here pops up and says, " if it's not available anymore , then it's not true".

If you look back you can actually see the steering of a new narrative.

Completely agree here.

If you do a timeline of events so far, things don't add up.

😆 Good observation! ;)

I really shouldn’t laugh but these journalists need to get a grip.
The journos who went to the house and reported about the dogs were told by police 4 dead dogs were removed from the property.

Then interviewing the neighbours, the neighbours said up to 11 or so.

That's how the story escalated.

Cars and dogs tell stories

I don't think these 2 suspects are too bright

Spot on .

I don’t think they are too bright either.

It’s not going to take long before we hear of an arrest .

Initially I was hoping phoebe had jumped in a car and hitched a ride to Brisbane or to the Boyfriend in WA but alas I don’t think this is the case anymore.
