In QLD, it’s normal to graduate from HS and move out of home, either with friends, to work or to go to university. I don’t see anything unusual about living with friends after highschool.
Friends yes. Adults who can not keep a house clean,no

Police have found items of interest.

The video has the information, the editorial itself hasn’t been updated.

There are 2 videos in the link, one after another. In the 2nd video the news reporter states that she has spoken to the boyfriend.

Finally!!!!

Detectives investigating the suspicious disappearance of the teen on Wednesday said there was no proof she was ever dropped at Bundaberg Airport, seizing a car and setting up a crime scene at a property where she was staying.”

“Police had been told she was last seen at Airport Dr with luggage, however investigators said they have no confirmed sightings of the teen at the airport. They have also not found her luggage.

Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson on Wednesday said police were confident Pheobe never made it to the airport despite being told it was the last place she was seen.”

Finally

Knew it wouldn't be long!

Incredible work by Police and Homicide squad!
........

More than a week after the 17-year-old vanished before checking in for a flight to Western Australia, police have narrowed a search to an isolated area of bushland.
Homicide detectives have joined the investigation, although police say they have not given up hope of finding Pheobe.

The discovery of an item of potential interest shifted the focus to scrubland west of Gin Gin, and Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson said the police diving squad had helped with the search of a creek.
"Police have subsequently been conducting some searches of the Good Night Scrub National Park in the hopes of finding some evidence in relation to her disappearance," he said.
"There are no specific persons of interest, however police are following up all avenues of enquiry."
The search was halted as night fell and will resume in the morning. Police have not confirmed if the item that was found is connected to Phoebe's case.

Yes. Or like someone has fallen or been pushed onto it with enough force for it to break. Motorbike or car are other options.

Looks to be a sock
Go to this 9News article and as you scroll a video should come up on bottom right. 36 seconds in the reporter says "item of interest" while the camera focuses on part of the greenery.

It looks like plastic under leaves...
I think you are right. It may be a sock.
What time frame is the sock?

If she was seen dropped off how is the place she was staying prior a crime scene? Do they assume she was dropped off and then again picked up and returned there?
I wonder who she was last seen by though?

It seems that Police divers looking in the creek has then led them to the bushland?

Zoomed right in it also looks like it could also be a white sandshoe/trainer ????
IMO

But it is never good when the police start calling in divers ….Police are being tight lipped, but their actions are speaking loudly, as to their thoughts …. IMO
