Pick your brain -old case

Im not sure why I have been thinking about this old case, but I need your help in remembering details. There was a case and frankly I can’t remember if it was a 20/20 episode or a dateline or something else. All I remember was this very strange guy and he was controlling of his wife. I do remember - and this is what stuck with me - is that the guy made college mascot uniforms - which is a unique profession - does any of this ring a bell with any of our sleuths - please help - I’m losing sleep !!!!
