There is nothing in the released documentation that says Casey knew the names of Z's two children.
So how did LE know the nicknames of her children when they interviewed her?
Maybe tomorrow's docs will answer some of the questions we have.

I asked this specifically because as I watched Nancy Grace tonight, she'd stated, the hair could belong to Casey or Caylee. Prior to tonight, she was talking about the band. If the band were there, it couldn't belong to Casey.

Of course, we know the media ALWAYS gets it right. :waitasec:
This is true. If they used the test for Mitochondrial DNA, the hair would come back as being either from the mother or her child. The banded hair could not belong to Casey because she is alive so would have to belong to Caylee as she is the only female unaccounted for in their family. I believe this is what NG was talking about. :)

LE got the names of the children off the guest card, not from Casey.

Not picking on your post or you...just pointing this out because people keep saying it and I am seeing things that make this not a true statement. :blowkiss: There is not always some element of truth to what Casey says. Some, yes...but not always and it is throwing us now n again.

I believe LP. I believe Rob. I also believe the FBI agent that gave LP a glowing recommendation on NG (but I believed in LP before then). If LP and Rob both say that Casey changed her story and included a ZG with kids...she did. If they say she said she was following a "script"...she did. Remember, they both have now testified to those things with OCSO and an FBI agent. They are on the record.
Oh..should have rephrased it this way...she draws upon what she knows...it doesn't necessarily mean it's the truth. I'm thinking along the lines of names she uses...she may...and it's a big may...pick names of people (first names, more specifically) she's come across in her life.
I know you're not picking on me silly. I respect you mucho so I know where it's coming from. oxoxoxox

Is there a link to anything released by LE that says hair with death bands was found? I'd really like to clear this up in my own mind.

Ok, I've been reading up, and sitting on my hands at the same time! Hubby and I do a lot of traveling. I take pictures all the time. But, I'm absolutely positive that not a one of the many unnamed people in my pictures has a clue that I took a picture of them. Know where I'm going with this one? So, if this was an unknown 'tourist' how did they ever find out that there was a picture? Much less know which unnamed state to go to to look for him? If this tourist did, in fact, contact JB instead of LE, shame on him! I know I wouldn't do that...I have so much love and compassion in my heart for Caylee that I'd go directly to, well, probably the FBI part of LE first. I just don't get it; I swear I don't! I think it's just more spin from the defense, and, quickly frankly, I'm getting dizzy.

I totally agree with you. As I have said before, she is going to run and her family is going to help her. They did not have the money before, but since they have been collecting all this money to "find Caylee" and I believe they intend to use it to get her out of the country.

It would not surprise me in the least to see them take her from the courtroom Friday back to jail. No bondsman is going to be signed on a bond of that amount knowing she is most likely leaving.

Her parents don't have the money to pay it, and according to them their home is mortgaged to the hilt, so that bonding company is not going continue to hold that bond.

I hope they do take her back to jail on Friday. I too believe she will try to run with, of course, the assistance of the A's. Could this be the reason that LE installed a camera trained on the A home today, they think that is a possibility also.

Oh, I always assumed they found her through a MV check. Thanks CW for the new info. Can you provide a link?

Maybe you're right, but I"m not so sure. If the hair only allowed for Mitochondrial DNA, that would mean it doesn't have a root. Could that also mean that since there was no root, they couldn't see if a band existed even if it had contained one before being broken?

Oh, RR -- are docs coming tomorrow???? I've read they're supposed to be coming...Tell me more, please!

Chilly, to be honest I haven't researched it or even recall where I read it. I have heard it on various shows, but since I believe what LE has already put out there...I found no need to nit pick. :)

ETA: I just heard Tim M. say it once again on the rerun of NG that from what he knows...he believes that Caylee is no longer alive. That is certainly enough for me. He even said he held on to that glimmer of hope, but he no longer does.

Just what I've read here...trying to keep up with all the threads tonight so haven't had a time to look through all the websites. Supposedly 400 more pages...oy.

WHERE does it say that a TOURIST took the picture? Honestly if I am missing that, someone please point me in the right direction!!!!

You are putting your trust in the right people. I hope others realize that neither Rob nor Leonard are going to jeopardize their entire careers and businesses by lying about Casey. They just have too much invested to risk lying and going to jail themselves.

There is no specific link, it's information taken from the first set of docs that were released. LE talked to the apartment manager and got the guest card, with the 2 children's names, in the morning. Later that afternoon they found ZG, probably through MV records, and interviewed her. Casey's statement was that ZG had no children.

EDIT for correction: In reading further, I see that the detective contacted ZG on her cell phone using the number from the guest card. I didn't think that was the case since the aprt manager said the number was no good. ZG gave the same number on her police report.

I agree... it's just not believable.. I would contact the LE that is handling the case too... not the defense attorney. OR maybe this guy contacted the Anthonys... you know their number was made public to anyone with information to call them. Could be he contacted them and they gave that info to Baez. Who knows?

That is a most awesome question. I can't wait to hear the answers.
We discussed this at length very early on. Don't know if we got close to the truth but check in the early general threads.

ETA: this refers to how Casey knew ZFG's name

Wow...and...huh?

I'm not sure what you're wanting to know? If there is no root on the hair, it can only provide Mitochondrial DNA. This DNA is passed down from the mother (thus the reason it could belong to Caylee or Casey). The odds on this type of DNA are much lower than if there was a root (which would yield Nuclear DNA and almost pinpoint the person to an exact science - with the exception of identical twins).

Doesn't the band form at the root area?
