Pit Bull and Other Dog Attacks.

The article says:
"At this point, it's simply a mystery. We're ruling it an undetermined death," Lt. Lombardo said.
He believes the dogs - "they're big dogs; they look like lions," he said - sensed something was wrong with Mr. Adams and were trying to help him by pulling on him. There were no bites on the head or neck.

But at the beginning it also says:
Whatever spurred one of the 90-kilogram mastiffs to give chase had Mr. Adams running so hard that police found his shoes more than nine metres from where his body was discovered.
"He made it to the gate, he got the gate closed to keep the dogs inside that grassy area, and he collapsed on the other side of that gate, about three feet from it," said West Los Angeles Lieutenant Ray Lombardo.

It contradicts itself, IMO, Mr. Jacobs might have not had shoes on to begin with?

Yes, it definitely contradicts since he would've already had the bite marks. Was he found inside the gate with the dogs or outside? If he had a heart attack or something and the dogs were dragging him, his shoes could've very easily come off. If he was outside of the gates, he could've lost his shoes running from the dogs after they attacked. It leads to two possible scenarios.

But......why was he RUNNING from them? It says he managed to get the gate closed, this is the strangest story.

Maybe I have this wrong. Does one story say he was in the fence with the dogs and the other say he collapsed outside of the closed gate?

Mastiffs are usually very gentle dogs, as well as the bulldog.

I'm wondering if after the man had a heart attack, the dogs panicked and were trying to pull/drag him to the house or were trying to get him to get up. I say this because once I was on heavy medications and couldn't wake up to let Kong out. He had pawed at my face and head I guess trying to get me to move. I had some terrible scratches from him when I came to.

From the reports so far, it doesn't look like the dog bites were the cause of death. I think it will be difficult to determine if he had his heart attack before or after the dogs bit him.
I thought it was a possibilitly earlier. Mastiffs overall are not aggressive dogs and are unware of just how BIG they are. I hope the dogs have not been put down, wouldn't they have to wait until the medical results anyway?

I could've sworn that I read all 4 were put down but I can't find it anywhere now. Maybe I just read that they were taken into custody?

Thanks JBean. Did everyone see TMZ today, there is a thing about Ving saying his dogs were not the cause of death but the cause would be out in a few weeks. I wonder if he got his dogs back or if they are in quarantine.

Yes, I think that was posted earlier in the thread. I have always suspected that he died of natural causes and the dogs were trying to pull him to wake him up, play with him,or drag him to safety.

This thread was getting too long, so its been closed. If you'd like to begin a new thread, please feel free, but I'd like to direct that any comments regarding the Michael Vick case be added to the thread already started in the CRIMES forum. Thanks very much~!!:blowkiss: :blowkiss: :blowkiss:
