On the day this tragic story broke in national news, I went online and searched for images of college girls in Moscow, Idaho and a whole lot of pictures of both MM and KG came up (instagram, facebook, other). IOW, they both had an online presence identifying themselves as students at U of I. Their carefully curated style and "twin" poses were striking and even before we knew their names, I thought they stood out.

I was easily able to find Instagrams for both girls. The Greek restaurant owner denied that BK had ever been there, IIRC, but on what basis, I do not know. It seemed to me that if BK paid cash (as students often do), they would have no record of him nor would he have been particularly memorable unless he asked for something strange. The restaurant appeared on some internet lists of "vegan friendly" restaurants in Moscow, ID. OTOH, if he was stalking MM, he would have gone there for that reason.

We will probably never know, but I am curious as to whether BK had a history of breaking and entering and snooping around, as so many serial killers do. If he intended to SA MM and everything went wrong, he may well have been escalating to sex offender.

If my theory about possible online "interaction" (BK at least perusing MM's and KG's social media) is true, then he may have moved from a form of online stalking to physical stalking. I can see the appeal of that for him. It would indeed be chilling to find out that he had already seen pictures of MM and KG before even moving to Washington. It's possible. The pictures went back in time for a couple of years and included family vacation photos and an awful lot of "personalizing" information, such that a disturbed person like BK could imagine himself in a parasocial relationship with them or with one of them.

It's possible, too, that he knew that KG had moved out (through peeping and stalking). He would therefore have been surprised to see her there (she had a new car).

All speculation. JMO or personal observation.
Since BK bought the knife in March (IIRC) while still in Pennsylvania, I do wonder if he would have committed a similar crime/murder in PA or elsewhere if he hadn't been accepted into the program at WSU. The purchase of the knife at that time may have not been target specific, but something he planned on using and once he knew he was going to WSU, it was packed along with his belongings in the trunk of his car as he headed off to WSU.

What a difference between his old Brybrows and his newly lightened and thinned Brybrows. You actually have to look hard to see if he even has them. I wonder A) whose idea that was. His or AT's, and B) if his idea, what exactly was his reason for doing it cuz I don't think his plea deal was last minute IMO. Although it could have been decided after thinning and lightening his Brybrows.

Note - I added a pic to your post so his Brybrows would be side-by-side for comparison. Link to my added pic source also added.
They look severely altered.

JMHO BK seems to have multiple "disguises". From his initial arrest photo to whoever this guy is, I've counted about 5 different looks (I don't have the nerve to edit them together). MOO.

So... did BK lightening and thinning them chill out his personality? I'm thinking that was the goal.

He looks the same. It is his demeanor, his brow ridge, his stare. He is an admitted murderer so it is more about how we see him. JMOO

he really is disturbed , it's very obvious. he cannot be trusted. I hope he will never be unchained in a courtroom again. he looks possessed, it's very unsettling. mOO

I agree.
Mad.
Looking for motive is useless IMO.
It would be as twisted as his mind seems to be.

When my spouse said that BK plead guilty, I literally thought it was a demented joke. Didn't believe it until I saw it was on MSM. Never thought it would happen, especially considering all the stuff the defense tried to get him off or blocked in trial. Glad it happened, so rare in our court system!

While pondering how life in prison would be for BK, it struck me that he has hit the "researchers jackpot".

Think of all the interviews he can conduct with other violent offenders. He can quiz them on their emotions, motives, feelings while committing the ultimate crime, etc.

He won't need to write a book about "his crime." He will publish research studies about the deviant mind and how those convicted individuals commit the ultimate crime and its long-term effects on them. He may even work for prison reform and rehabilitation. This could lead to his doctoral thesis.

I don't trust BK.....One or more of the families involved will probably need to file a civil case against BK and perhaps his family. As part of the verdict in the civil case would be the most realistic method to stop BK publishing anything related to his crimes.

I honestly don't see other violent offenders opening up to some pseudo-academic inmate with their emotions, motives and feelings, pertaining to their crimes. I believe they are largely likely to find BK as a wannabe know-it-all who may have had far more opportunities than many of them did, and still ended up where they did. I do not think they will be impressed with his crimes, with getting caught, nor with his book knowledge, and do not see any benefit for them in discussing their crimes with him. He could not help himself, and cannot help them. He is not a psychologist. If anything, I almost expect them to hone in on him, right away, letting him know that he is nobody in the hierarchy of power inside the walls, and he will do well to play nice with those who are.

Aside from all of that, I really do not see him as the kind to easily make friends inside, if he even attempts to, which I kind of doubt. JMO

Why would any of the families file a civil case against his family? I haven't seen any grounds for a civil suit against them.

Considering what he did, how she didn't see any signs, I don't know where she came up with him being self reflective. Of course she wants to interview him, study him. Supposedly she did reach out to his family.

Self respective is an insult to the families that lost their children. IMO I'm speaking about his advisor. He will love her attention. Apparently he's one of her best students

He's a coward, of course he beat her. I heard she fought very hard. Sneaking in someone's home in the middle of the night, knowing they were drinking and sleeping, gave him the element of surprise. Home is where you know you can sleep soundly, peacefully. If he was following sorority sisters, he had to know Kaylee was there. Pictures were taken , he knew.

I wondered why BK looked different at court this time.

Then I realized it was his brows, he was lacking bushy eyebrows, almost shaved looking.
His lack of eyebrows makes me think he was indeed preparing to go through with the trial, but something changed.
Since his brow is prominent, with out eyebrows be looks skull like. And his shirt was very strange, gathered at the neck.
I thought the same thing. By the time the trial would have started, they would have just looked like normal eyebrows.

That is interesting. I wonder if this shows up in individuals who have never shown any tendencies toward murder but then murder a spouse. Do they also lack behavioral control?

Yes, head for The New York Post, this Sunday late afternoon, there is a plethora of new articles on Kohberger, various topics, if you like to read as much as I do. Lots of new information posted there.
