IMO LE are searching for remains and bullistics/DNA point to KN's gun being used and his parents blood in the truck that was found. I, also, wouldn't doubt that DNA was found in his or his father's work truck.
One of the articles stated that LE are using metal detectors at the ash fill. Hoping to find jewelry or other identifying items. (I'll look for it).
Very very sad. Hope they unseal warrants on friday.

I am surprised that they think the Navins may have had jewelry that could survive incineration. I wouldn't be surprised if prosthetic parts (e.g., knee replacement) could survive. Gold and silver have melting points below 2,000 degrees F; titanium has a melting point that exceeds 3,000 degrees F. Cobalt chrome melts at just under 3,000.
