Police at anthony home again 9-10-08

I wish I agreed with you Stealth.
In the beginning I thought Lee was awesome for standing up to Casey in the first released jail call. I thought he had some sense. But after seeing his ebay purchase on the day his sister was arrested and he learned his neice was missing... (Although maybe it should be excused...I mean...what's more important than buying action figures casino chips and star wars and comic book memorobilia? Right?)

After seeing him ILLEGALLY redirect Caylee donations for her search to his private paypal account...

After seeing him INITIATE the high five with Casey...
I've lost any respect that call created. He's not working very much is he? I wonder how he can stop working and still manage to make enough money to make A LOT of purchases on ebay ever since Caylee has been missing? Check the Anthony Donation thread and you'll see what a stand up guy Lee is as well as what his priorities are.

Somehow in between hours of Halo 3, being Casey's luggage boy and driver, being a BOUNCER for George, and an avid ebayer, he's managed to secure funds SOMEHOW.

This post isn't snarking on YOU by any means. I just wanted you to be aware of what this guy has been up to before you defend him. I don't think his actions are normal and I CERTAINLY don't see any diversion from his normal ebay routine. Unless you count an INCREASE in purchases.
I don't think it's Cindy's affection and good graces that are dictating Lee's behavior.
I don't blame you for wanting Lee to be the guy we all thought he was two months ago. I wanted it too. It would be comforting to have SOMEONE in that house that was going to find the truth. But I don't think that's going to happen.

Very nicely said

Lee seems to have the intelligence Casey is lacking. He might be wrong but he is well spoken. Doesn't lose his temper and get spastic like George. That's the first really good close up shot I've seen of Lee. Him and Casey could be twins.

Looks to me like he lost his temper.

WOW

Unreal

Wow, whoever posted that link....thank you! Lee, dude, IMO, you are one of the most in-control people when you are out of control!

IMHO an HOA could control signage in the community (posted unattended signage), but I don't think they would have any control over a sign that being carried.

Now shall we discuss those no trespassing permanent signs and the lovely yellow tape. I wonder how HOA feels about that. I think most of the neighbors are giving the A's a wide berth as far as reporting things.

I dont know. I cant get on the Lee bashing for that incident. He may have destroyed her sign and may have dumped out the dog water. But seriously, public or private property, they are sitting on the patch of grass that we all homeowners tend to. Right in front of the home. I get it, I really do, they want Casey and family to get the message. But even if he seemed like a jerk, he did not explode, he did not yell, he was very upright and forthcoming. So what if he folded the sign?? The man trying to speak with Lee couldn't even get his comments straight. People are there to be a**holes, I think that whole neighborhood needs a break. The protesters are out of hand, this whole situation is out of hand. It's disgusting.

I would not protest........but I will defend their right to do it. Lee should never have touched her sign, and if the ACLU gets involved he will be held liable for that.

If the protesters are on PUBLIC property - the Anthonys should just leave them alone and go in their house quietly. THEY seem to want a conflict every time they come home.

The Anthony's are going to end up doing something really stupid before this is over.

The HOA only controls the home owner.

Lee is thinking that since the HOA president made them move their sign that they had parked there, the HOA could do something to the Lady. It doesn't work like that.

The HOA all ready had the legel right to fine the Anthonys for breaking the HOA rules. The Anthonys signed paperwork when they bought the house that agreed to such fines, etc.

It would be a waste of time for the HOA to go after the lady. She would be long gone before they made their first step. Which would be to request she leave. So it would be pointless. They wouldn't be allowed to touch her or her sign. Unless she left it there.

It would all be kicked to the LE, which said she could be there. So Lee took the matter into his own hands. Instead of asking the cop why he didn't do anything. It was up to the cop, not Lee.

I like the video. The guy asking him questions was very good imo. Why are 2500 out looking for your niece while you sit at home and she intends to profit.... meanwhile Lee destroys other people's property. Takes the dog bowl???

I support the protesters because pressure needs to be applied and more evidence of the nature of these folks needs to be revealed. They think they are above the law. If someone were to pull Casey's sunglasses off her face and break them, that person will be arrested.

I think it was funny that Lee threatened (advised) him to watch his words.

I for one have absolutely no sympathy for this family whatsoever nor their monster under the roof.

The protesters are keeping them from confronting their real issues.

He picked the quietest and least intimidating protestor to pick on...

just an observation...

I imagine that woman's husband isn't going to be too happy when he sees that video.

Out of all the people that George and Lee have gotten aggressive with, so far they have chose a very small guy, an elderly lady, a woman...and a really beautiful dog.

I suspect that one day very soon, they will meet their match and step on some big toes.

I wonder, if the owner of that sign were a 25 yr old man, who was as big, or bigger then Lee. Would he have reacted the same way?

You've said it all, I have nothing to add!

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

GRACIAS! It's crazy over there!

I wonder if the A's watched Lee on the Webcam or out the window? :waitasec:

If the homeowner's assoc. objected to the sign (of the dog-lady), why don't they object to the huge sign the Anthony's parked in front of their home in order to block protesters?

*They did object to the huge sign and that is why the Anthony's removed it - after getting permission to leave it up for a cuople of hours.

The HOA can't regulate signs being held in the public domain--it's a 1st Amendment right. But maybe if the sign is on an easel on the ground, would that then give them the authority to say the lady's sign was out of order?
Still, Lee had no right to touch the sign and especially not the dog's water!
That was deliberate and intentional destruction of property.

*HOA's DO have the right to regulate signs anywhere in the subdivision - there are communities where home owners can't even put for sale signs up - but I agree that Lee should not have done that.

As a number of posters have said, if the Anthonys would not engage the protesters they would be better off, but they just can't help themselves, can they?

The more I see about the protesters, the more disgusted I get at them. The woman with the St. Bernard - ok, she would go looking for here dog right away if he were missing, but she also is keeping him out in the hot sun for how many hours??? That in itself is cruel - I don't care if she had water there - you don't keep a dog out in the hot sun any length of time! From the looks of it, she has been there at least an hour. Does anyone know exactly how long she has been there?

I am truly worried that someone is going to be seriously hurt out there at some point. This is a dangerous situation for everyone involved.

For the record, it was not hot today. It was not sunny either, in fact it was sprinkling.

Oh my God.
Lee is trying to remain so calm, I don't know what to think.
Part of me thinks he is out of control, but part of me thinks .. well, just wow.

The lady and the dog are on the Anthonys parkway. That is private, no?

He shouldn't have done it, it just adds to the fire, but Lordy, how much more can he endure? The protesters are way out of control. I don't think they should be allowed to continue. It is harassment.

Running for cover now..

Out of control? She was very quiet and polite. She just wasn't jumpign through hoops for him. She didn't attack him when he took her sign. She didn't attack him when he tore it up. She just kept setting there calmly. She calmly explained the LE said she could set there.

She showed a whole lot of control.

Agreed.
The sign was bad enough but when he dumped and trashed the dog's water bowl, he went way too far.

Sheriff Beary said something needs to be done, but what? The ACLU would be all over this in the event either party (protesters or Anthony's) is constrained in any way.

And according to the law here, as long as there are less than 100 protesters at one time, no permits are required.

The protesters are keeping them from confronting their real issues.

The protesters have nothing to do with the issues confronting the Anthony's and whether they are dealing with them or not.

Right, and like his father, Lee chose to pick on a woman. So I'm of the opinion that Lee is a bully too...

Sorry, LostGrl, I'm not buying it! :snooty:If I were the Anthony's no amount of protesters outside my house would keep me from looking for my child/grandchild. It didn't stop Beth Holloway, Sharon Rocha, Marc Klass or others from looking for their children- but then again, these families were innocent and volunteered to assist LE in any way they could, not stonewalling!
