Then who is responsible for putting new sod on that portion of "public land" ? The county or the HOA ?

Rosered, respectfully..

I think "who is responsible for finding Caylee" might be so much better to be asking. That's the problem, the Anthony's appear to be more concerned now with a childish battle of "don't step across this line" than they are about finding Caylee.

I can't believe we are talking about sod now. Heck I will buy a bag of grass seed and reseed it for them when this is over. Does that make it better? Or maybe they can use some donation money to resod it. I really don't think that grass is the issue here.

I think her point was, she doesn't have to move. She is not on his property. So whether he asked nicely and politely really doesn't matter. He has no right to ask or tell her to move to the sidewalk.

But..........but...........but............YOU don't understand.......these people BELIEVE they can get away with anything........they don't come under the same laws the rest of the citizens do.:doh:

In the beginning of the tape he simply asked her to move to the sidewalk right next to where she already was!!!

He was being extremely polite, wasnt telling her to leave or being agressive. She could have simply moved over two feet and still got her point across without provoking an already tense situation. I guess she got her 15 minutes as well. :waitasec:

Whether or not he should have taken her sign is a different matter.

:clap::clap:

Let the bashing commence. But please use spell check. :rolleyes:
:clap::clap::clap::woohoo:
Aaahh, someone after my own heart! :)

I would think fresh, healthy, green sod would be at the bottom of their worries right now.

They are not Beth Twitty.
You can sure say that again!! She was out searching for their grandchild!! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: Go BETH!

Probably the homeowner, depending on city ordinance.
I live in a nearby city and our ordinance is that public right of way must be maintained by the homeowner whose property abuts the right of way.
But it really depends on that city's ordinance. Although there may be an ordinance that the homeowner must maintain it, it's still property that's in the public domain. Unfair, yes, but that's life.

Usually the sidewalk is maintained by the city or county, depending.

<snipped>

It would all be kicked to the LE, which said she could be there. So Lee took the matter into his own hands. Instead of asking the cop why he didn't do anything. It was up to the cop, not Lee.

Especially since Lee isn't the homeowner! I understand his frustration, but I don't think he has any legal standing to try to force anyone to do anything as far as that property goes. Not only is he not the homeowner, he's not even a resident -- he has his own place.

I believe I read a while back that Cindy is the only one on the deed. If that's correct, does that mean that George is not technically a homeowner of that property, or does being a spouse or resident of the home confer that status on him?

I'm wondering whether, technically, any of them besides Cindy have a legal say about property issues. I'm sure they all understandably feel it's "their" home and they have a right to defend "their" property -- but do they have legal standing to do so? I have no idea how that type of thing works. If anyone does, please chime in.

I can believe it............NO ONE wants to address poor little dead Caylee floating somewhere face down in mud and water out there all alone.

The Anthonys will never tell where she is and the people who support them will uphold them tearing up signs and telling WOMEN to move so we don't have to discuss if the gators ate her or not.

None of us know what they are having done privately to look for Caylee. They just are not looking for a dead Caylee but none of us know who, how, where or what is being done privately to find a living Caylee.

Oh my God.
Lee is trying to remain so calm, I don't know what to think.
Part of me thinks he is out of control, but part of me thinks .. well, just wow.

The lady and the dog are on the Anthonys parkway. That is private, no?

He shouldn't have done it, it just adds to the fire, but Lordy, how much more can he endure? The protesters are way out of control. I don't think they should be allowed to continue. It is harassment.

Running for cover now..

I'm sorry I disagree , someone posted a photo of the property they obtained from the tax office . The property lines are clearly marked out in red . The A's DO NOT own the strip of property between the sidewalk and the road , the side walk as you know IS public so is that strip .

The A's phoned LE about this woman , they informed the A's that she was not trespassing .

After LE left Lee when out telling her she had to move she was trespassing, trying to inforce HOA rules .

He was clearly out of line , this woman wasn't yelling & screaming anything (peaceful protest and within her rights ) If Lee felt this woman was in violation to the HOA rules it's not his place to inforce them .

Regardless like a few of the posters have stated she was on public property .

The general public appear's to be more concerned with harassing this family rather than finding Caylee, IMO!

Out of control? She was very quiet and polite. She just wasn't jumpign through hoops for him. She didn't attack him when he took her sign. She didn't attack him when he tore it up. She just kept setting there calmly. She calmly explained the LE said she could set there.

She showed a whole lot of control.

I didn't say "she" was out of control. I said "the protesters". I meant the protesters in general.

Lee seems to have the intelligence Casey is lacking. He might be wrong but he is well spoken. Doesn't lose his temper and get spastic like George. That's the first really good close up shot I've seen of Lee. Him and Casey could be twins.

Omg, when I first started reading your post I was like, WTH? Then I got to the last sentence and burst out laughing. You are absolutely correct. Lee and Casey could be twins.

The protesters have the right to be there and if the A's don't like it, they should stay away from the windows. Even if they are innocent and truly don't know the truth about what happened to little Caylee, they are doing nothing to get to the bottom of it. They are harboring KC in their house and not forcing her to do the right thing and cooperate with authorities. We are talking about a 2 year old baby. The Orlando community and the rest of the country is disgusted. The people in our community have the right to protest and put pressure on KC and the family to do the right thing.

I was very impressed by the dog sign lady and think she behaved perfectly. Who knows, maybe the family will finally get frustrated enough that they will stop enabling KC and force her to do the right thing. JMO

If protesters have a right to yell baby killer and make Casey tell us where Caylee is as part of their freedom of speech, why doesn't Lee have the same freedom to tell her or ask her to move ? It's not her property either.

I don't believe that to be true of the entire family. Casey, yes....but the rest of them....no. Remember, Cindy called LE on her own daughter!

And the family seems to be more concerned with confronting the protesters than looking for Caylee!!
