POLL: Does The Meter Reader Fiasco Change Your Mind?

  • #61
NOPE, there is no who dunnit...she is still guilty, no matter wat the loose cannon lawyer says.

  • #62
#2- lazy murderous tot mom all the way. Would have been more fun if the meter readers name had been gonzalez as initially reported. Oh well- nonexistent nanny and the "heroic" meter reader whose last name is ?Cronk (sp.?????) Not a single factual Gonzalez anywhere!!!

  • #63
Nope, guilty... and the body will provide even more evidence.

I agree,

I think theres going to be enough evidence to convict her twice.

LE should tie up all their loose ends with this Meter reader though.

If I were them I'd go through the motions of checking his prints & backround just so Jose can't say they didn't during the trial

PS- just being sarcastic!

She gets my vote for Mother **** of the year.

It doesn't change my mind about her guilt. However, I am still looking for the missing link. Were others involved before, during, or after? What exactly happened? I guess we will never know, but I'm still looking...

No it does not change my mind but like I have been saying from the beginning, KC had help. Remember the witness who was adamant about seeing her coming out of the woods with an unidentified male in a suit? Maybe he should be shown a picture of the meter reader. I believe this man but I want to know is if this was the same area? Does anyone know? Who could this other person have been?

No, it doesn't change my mind about the case. I've always said from the beginning that there are too many unanswered questions to jump to the conclusion that KC is a murderer. Why were the cadaver dogs never taken to any of the players' homes, cars, storage units, etc, to rule them out? The same for KMT, and now the meter reader (who I believe is probably completely innocent.) The cadaver dogs should obviously inspect their homes/cars etc just as a matter of routine investigation, also KMT's boyfriend's home. (And I was surprised no luminol or anything was ever done at the Glenwood and Sutton PL apts or other locations frequented by KC and Caylee.) Due to none of this ever being done, all we know at this point, due to the one hair possibly indicating a dead Caylee in KC's car trunk, is that someone may have put a deceased Caylee in the trunk of KC's car at some point. That's all there is. Obviously anyone could have done that anytime her car was unlocked, or anyone with access to her keys.
Of course KC also could have placed Caylee there after she died of a tragic accident or after murdering her if that is what happened. But the theory that KC murdered Caylee is just that, a theory. It's not known that she even was the one who placed Caylee in the trunk, if Caylee even was in the trunk, it's only a theory. It has been very troubling to see it repeated literally hundreds of times from the beginning of this case, both in the media and on this website, that KC definitely killed Caylee, because this is simply not known.
It is so unfortunate that the body was not recovered when the meter reader first reported it, because Caylee's body could very possibly have provided more evidence 4 months ago, there could have been soft tissue evidence, and the remains might have been less scattered, giving a much more accurate picture. Also the family would have been put through 4 less months of all that they've been put through (not that finding the body actually gives a family "closure"--as Mark Klaas said on TV the other day, "closure" in these cases, for the families, is pretty much a myth.) The fact that this area had reportedly been searched with the cadaver dogs and the body was not found reminds us that the dogs are fantastic and can be very useful in finding corpses but are not infallible, OR, on the other hand, the explanation might be that the body was not there at all at the time the dogs were there, which could indicate another perpetrator. Hopefully this turn of events will bring about some more investigation that will lead to more facts to work with. Obviously the LE have a wealth of experience and I'm not questioning them, I just think they need a lot more information to work with and the investigation should have been much broader, but it's not too late to broaden the investigation now.

Number 2. Definitely. KC did it and I'm more convinced than ever.

Didn't vote. Framing this as a fiasco renders all voting on this poll moot.

  • #72
Um, there is no poll thing at the top. But, all this did was confirm what I have known all along and wish were not true.

  • #73
Even if I had some suspicions re the the circumstances of the findings I never changed my mind.KC did it,with or without some help from another A.

LOL-- all the more reason not to vote!

The meter reader did the right thing IMO. If it were me, I wouldnt have gotten out of my car and opened a bag that I "thought" may have the dead body of a little girl in it. I wouldnt want that engraved in my memory for the rest of my life, I would have called the POLICE. After the 3rd call when the POLICEMAN was scared off by a SNAKE, the meter reader must have been discouraged to say the least. The hurricane came, the water, and Im sure he probably drove by it a few additional times throughout August until Dec 11, when he finally figured I better go have a look since the POLICE still havent found her. Poor guy, he was damned if he did, damned if he didnt.

Hello, first post from a lurker.
No, this doesn't change my opinion at all. Sometimes things are searched for many times in the same area before they are found. That doesn't explain why she did her best to hide the fact her child was missing for a month. It doesn't explain why LE can prove a dead human was in the trunk of her car and link that human to her missing child. Nor does it explain the fact that her child's remains were found where she buried her dead pets as a kid. The tv experts are full of 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Way to much circumstantial evidence. Common sense will prevail when this goes to a jury.

Only reinforces my opinion. I cannot believe anyone actually thinks the meter reader had anything to do with this. How many of us have considered contacting LE (some of us have gone through with it) b/c we found a link to a myspace page or had a brainstorm that we thought just couldn't go unreported? How many people had psychic visions, dreams or "feelings" that were so strong that they felt the need to call the tip line? Sure, some of them are crazy and I'm sure LE is overwhelmed trying to follow them all up, but how awful would you feel if it turned out to be right and you never called?

Here's a guy just doing his job, within earshot of the Anthony home, who sees a garbage bag at a known hangout and dumping ground of the local kids. He might have even heard the rumor about Kio telling LE to check it out. How could he NOT call? And then, after months of Caylee still not being found, the water finally goes back down in that area and he is reassigned to that route, who among us could resist walking back there to see if the bag were still there?

How many WSers and others travelled to help TES search? How many times did TES go back over the same area to make sure it had been cleared 100%? Are they involved somehow? Are they bad people or heroes? IMHO, this man falls into that category. I'll bet he was lying awake at night wondering if he had failed Caylee by not looking in that bag or letting a snake keep him and the deputy away. He probably wrestled with himself and talked himself out of going back a hundred times, until last Thursday he was too close for logic to win over his heart. Thank God he did, or Caylee might still be back there, unfound like so many others.

He probably wishes he had never heard of Casey Anthony. Just goes to show you what doing the right thing will get you in our screwed up society - Casey has Jayne W on TV kissing her butt and Geraldo bending over backwards to come up with excuses for her, while this poor guy is probably paying his lawyer and defending himself for being a citizen.

Bumping ~ several threads (locked) about Kronk from the Dec. 2008 / Jan. 2009 timeframe.

Nope. She is guilty and she acted alone. The meter reader just happened to be the one that found her baby girl. It does not matter who found her, the DT would still blame them for it IMO.

No. ICA is still guilty.
