I personally believe someone has rolled over on KC for that reward LP offered, and that is why he is searching where he is.

Padilla rescinded his reward back in mid October.

One month later he is saying she is NE of the airport and SW of the A's. Now he is 100% convinced she is in Blanchard Park.

I wish you were right, but unfortunately it isn't so. Padillas theories are no better (or worse) than anyone else's. He just has a knack for getting air time from the press and the public runs with it.

I know if I was 100% sure she was somewhere, I would NOT have left town and said I would be back in a few weeks.

LOL!

The only feeling I got at seeing that unfold was that LE was totally embarrassed that they didn't have the foresight to assign an officer to the area in the event that something WAS found.

They came barging in whining that the media was there doing what the media does.... reporting.

Late to the party & in a pissy mood.

:clap::clap::clap:

I guess that would be the etc part of the post.
IIRC, a searcher with TES did post photo's of one of the searches.

That is also my recollection. I also recall TES searchers tipping off the press about finds, posting to blogs about finds etc. These things happen.

I voted NO also. In the unlikely event LP found anything of value Baez and his crew would have a field day discrediting LP and the Evidence. LP may be good at finding bondjumpers, that's a far cry from finding human remains. I appreciate his efforts in continuing to searc, but it seems to me that this has turned into a personal battle for him against the A.

He got slapped when he was shown up by KC keeping her mouth shut. How many more rings have to added to this circus.

Caylee may never be found.
LMO

They've already accused JG of putting Caylee's body in the trunk, stated it was someone else's body in the trunk, so it wouldn't surprise me if they try to pretend LP planted Caylee's body too! But thinking the jury may believe that or that JB could have a field day with it, is fanciful, IMO. No one could possibly believe LP could plant Caylee's body anywhere....he had nothing to do with this family until Caylee was already reported missing. How dumb do you think juries are??

AGAIN, TES has apx 100 members on the ground in Orlando who are doing searches & following up on information. By leaving a group who Tim trust to do a good job in Orlando, he & his team were able to move on the NC for 2 searches. We had 2 different teams in 2 different locations. It is NOT the first time either of these searches have been done, nor is it the last. Tim & his team have moved on, the searches here continue. The families are not mad he has left, they are grateful for the teams he has put together & those who continue to search with the direction & help of TES.

I'd say the A's are outright happy he left. You think that's a good thing??

If the choices are

A. obtain funding to cover expenses of continued search in exchange for documentary crew access

or

B. suspending search due to lack of funding

I’d go with ‘A’.

In the movie industry, the term used to justify the filming of expensive effects shots is “putting money on the screen” (as opposed to in the wallets of the talent).

Certainly if LP obtains funding to continue searching, we will either see the money on the screen in the form of equipment, personnel and labor, or we won’t.

I’ll refrain from objecting until I see what’s on the screen.

He isn't suggesting searching a huge area, he says he has it narrowed down to a specific area that he is confident she is in. This is not a high tech search in the grand scheme of things. I am confident with the amount of support he has and the access to the media that he has he could lay out a plan for the search ask for volunteers and funds payable to the actual company providing said services and get divers in the water... all without the exclusive money strings attached mess that makes it a no win for him.

Divers donate their time to do these types of searches all the time. Completing a grid or vector search is part of your dive master requirements in most licensing groups. You can only have a handful of divers in the water at a time with the silt, you wouldn't even need that big of a group to work with.

Not everything is so black and white. LP is not some evil money grubbing lunatic, but he isn't wearing a cape on his back either. If the real motivation is searching this specific location it can be done without the rest of it. The choice is not that black and white either.

I didn't believe it when they took the "rocks" away on a stretcher with a little white blanket. Can't fool me.

I found LE's reaction to the find astonishing and confusing. If there really was nothing of significance found, why bother doing a lie detector on LP? It would seem like a waste of time to me. Are they saying he planted stones hoping to fool LE and the Medical Examiner into believing they were bones? Why would he plant stuff that had nothing to do with the case??? That was so odd.

Who accused JG of putting Caylee's body in the trunk?

I voted YES. LP would be able to have the funds to continue the search. Who cares what the A's think? They, above everyone else, are begging for money for a search that never happens. Who cares about the money if Caylee is found??

I agree. I trust LP and someone needs to look for poor Caylee... I was thinking about if little Caylee was in the river that LP was searching. Those gators could eat Caylee in one bite, I wonder if she'll ever be found. I hate Casey!! I wish we could watch her miserable existance in jail!!! Who are these idiots putting money in her jail account. sorry I went off the subject!!

According to LP, she mentioned BP 8 times. Let's count how many times she mentioned Sawgrass. If it's 9, lets move the search to there. Let's count how many times she mentioned Tony's apartment - 10? Pack up the searchers!

Just my opinion, of course, but the place Casey hasn't mentioned - that's the location of little Caylee's remains.

LE searched Tony's apartment in the early days...are you saying they shouldnt have?? They also went to Sawgrass, asked questions, got statements, viewed video from there...are you saying they shouldn't have? So, why shouldn't BP be searched???

Did I say BP shouldn't be searched? :waitasec:

Tim did not make a spectacle of himself and call out the helicopters. What was he supposed to do, shoot them down? TES found many things and sent them for testing. The media didn't capture any of that on film.

Tim went on NG to talk about the search many times before it happened. He certainly involved the press.

And re the things they found, again, should you be talking about this? I think it's a perfect example perhaps of how hard it is for some people to keep quiet about what they know about the search. I can imagine it must be really tough to not want to let people know you have some inside info.

Well he gets filmed AND he gets 200K.

Of course he's going to do it.

I haven't seen it yet, but on NG tonight he said the lie detector test should be telecast, pay per view to fund the search. I am *trying* to be moderate about his motivation, but boy it gets tough at times.

I watched the entire thing. Search protocol was followed exactly. I don't know what the darn problem is here.

ITA.

The men who dove that day were incredibly brave heroes. The waters are incredibly dangerous and they risked their own safety in an effort to find little Caylee and I think the way they are being criticised is disgraceful.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Exactly............my company provided a really nice condo for us to stay for the search. Does that mean we should not have searched because we were provided a 4 bedroom condo?

They are ALL paid for one way or another.

Sounds like a great company to me! And good for you for being out there helping find her!!!

And what about TM holding the group "meeting" the night before at one of MN's bars?? Seems MN may have made a bit of profit that night. I'm sure at least a searcher or 2 bought themselves an alcoholic beverage there.

Exactly, not only is there no point in announcing what was found, but it could harm the case. Let's say that LP really did find a charm similar to the one Casey wore around her neck and the rocks were Caylee's bones. Cindy hears that news and sends someone out to buy the exact same charm. During the trial the prosecution pulls out the found charm in an AHA moment: "This charm places you at the scene of the crime!".....then Cindy gets on the stand and shows everyone that Casey's charm is not missing.

Silly, I know, but possible.

You must watch a lot of tv/movies. It doesn't really happen like that in real life. In real life, the Prosecution must disclose the evidence they intend to use at trial before the trial. To withhold it like that would only result in a mistrial, at substantial cost to the taxpayer.

It was just meant as an example. There is good reason for not releasing information about evidence found during a search, do you agree with that?

I'm on the fence but what I will say is that LP is looking in all the places we have wanted to know about. TES has left. LE does not appear to be looking. Though I feel that the "circus atmosphere" exudes from LP he is doing what we need done. By his flamboyant actions, his theories, and just being LP he keeps the story alive. We have seen the searches on the news. He has rounded up divers and is trying to make things happen. This cost money and I don't think LP is filthy stinking rich-I really think he needs the money to continue searching. People can only donate so much of their time and resources for these types of searches. It it a waste of time-I don't know. I'm just not ready to give up. Should it be filmed, will it be exploited-that's waht worries me.
