Yeah I followed that story on here too, very sad outcomeThat made me think of Michael Mosley. He collapsed and died out of view behind a wall.
I hope they find Greg soon.

Easy to get turned around, but like your brother I’d hope Greg would have had a clearer head hours later and think, “Ok, now what can I do to let me friends know I'm ok and how can I get back to them.” That hasn’t happened since he was reported missing on Wednesday, May 28.Okay, story time...
When my younger brother was about 20, him and a group of mates went to Zante. They were in a bar and pretty drunk. My brother decided he was going to walk back to their apartment. So he leaves the bar and on the street turns left, which is the way (he thought) back to where they were staying.
He winds up on a beach. "Where the hell am I?" he asks himself because as far as his drunkcould remember, there was no beach between the bar and the apartment. He tries phoning his pals but because they were still in the noisy bar, none of them heard their phones. So my brother, being drunk, decides to lie on a beach recliner for a bit to clear his head. He falls asleep and is woken up with the sunrise, slightly more sober than the night before. It's only then he realises that he should have turned RIGHT when he left the bar and not left. He was only a mile away from his hotel but he'd managed to get completely turned around and had no clue how to get back. So, tired and with the beginnings of a hangover, he staggered back to the apartment and probably slept until midday.
Why am I telling you this story? To try and show how easy it can be to get completely turned around. And because my drunk brother could have been this dude. He was just lucky nobody targeted him while he was lying passed out on the beach and he got back to his friends unscathed.
Yeah unfortunately something that started fairly innocent, like getting turned around in an unfamiliar place, can go wrong quickly. I really hope not though and that he's just hooked up with a woman and is getting hella laid and has no battery. lolEasy to get turned around, but like your brother I’d hope Greg would have had a clearer head hours later and think, “Ok, now what can I do to let me friends know I'm ok and how can I get back to them.” That hasn’t happened since he was reported missing on Wednesday, May 28.
(Thank goodness it all turned out ok for your brother!)

I think a photo found him. I hope they can get some drones up and searching.Yeah I followed that story on here too, very sad outcome![]()
According to the official FB group someone has flown over an area with a drone earlier but no news. Someone else is also planning to do this in a different area.I think a photo found him. I hope they can get some drones up and searching.
I don’t know how much we can say from the FB group due to reliability but someone has already suggested the area he was last see on CCTV is known to locals as being “that” kind of place. As it was a stag do, I've been pondering if "the boys" were really truthful about the last location they've seen Greg in. I mean most of stag parties involve far less innocent places than a karaoke bar, places that men in relationships wouldn't want to be known they visited (which would explain the phone turned off). Men tend to be very very focused on one thing in these places and it would be easy for them to not notice a friend leaving.
Are the places like that in the Cerro de Aquia area?
I'm sorry to hear you have experienced this.According to the official FB group someone has flown over an area with a drone earlier but no news. Someone else is also planning to do this in a different area.
With recently losing a family member who went missing on holiday, I’m praying for a good outcome but I have to be honest because it’s been so many days now, I’m so doubtful![]()
Yes it didn’t end well for Miss Konanki in Dominican Republic. Your bro was so very luckyOkay, story time...

Yes the name of that bar being Kings Cross maybe a bit of a clue IMOI don’t know how much we can say from the FB group due to reliability but someone has already suggested the area he was last see on CCTV is known to locals as being “that” kind of place.
The family search page shows that volunteers have been combing that area -- apparently it's very densely overgrown and difficult to search. They have had drones up over there too.If you look at the area he was last seen on cctv, next to that area is a drop in terrain, high and rocky/bushes. In the dark without maps on his phone (or even with to be honest) he could have tried to cut down to the road to get to the beach to get his bearings better and misstepped not realising that it’s a drop not a slope, I think the area needs thoroughly searching with dogs or people who have the capabilities to search the terrain around there safely.
Yeah I’ve seen that, that’s the issue I think, is that it is hard to search and the drones can’t get in the undergrowth so it would be beneficial to have dogs or specialists in rough terrain to search that area, obviously they’re doing all they can themselves but it needs specialists for that sort of thing to ensure everyone’s safety and rule out areas because he may not be visible or accessible to the average person. I feel for them they must be going through hell. The family search page shows that volunteers have been combing that area -- apparently it's very densely overgrown and difficult to search. Greg's mom mentioned that they were being interviewed on Sky News this afternoon and that they'd post that on the FB page later today.
