Possible Vandalism/Message To Daddy on Wall of Hope

I wonder if any of the children at Skyline are known to use the symbol (_) as a smiley face at the end of their writing???

FWIW, it's interesting everyone thinks it was written by a female.

I thought the opposite, it was definitely male!

special k as a drug?

Hmm, that adds more to my original thought of it being a threat/message- but not in the 'to daddy' way.

What if adding it there, was just a way to get it into the message w/out additional red flags going up?

Ketamine is a drug used in human and veterinary medicine developed by Parke-Davis (today a part of Pfizer) in 1962. Its hydrochloride salt is sold as Ketanest, Ketaset, and Ketalar. Pharmacologically, ketamine is classified as an NMDA receptor antagonist.[2] At high, fully anesthetic level doses, ketamine has also been found to bind to opioid μ receptors and sigma receptors.[3][4] Like other drugs of this class such as tiletamine and phencyclidine (PCP), it induces a state referred to as "dissociative anesthesia"[5] and is used as a recreational drug.

Ketamine has a wide range of effects in humans, including analgesia, anesthesia, hallucinations, elevated blood pressure, and bronchodilation.[6] Ketamine is primarily used for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia, usually in combination with some sedative drug. Other uses include sedation in intensive care, analgesia (particularly in emergency medicine), and treatment of bronchospasm. It is also a popular anesthetic in veterinary medicine.

Well, I asked the other day about access to vet meds at the horse farm Kaine requested LE to check.

the sig. also just says kisses...usually wouldn't you say hugs and kisses?

I'm really getting weirded out by the use of "Special K". Was he ever called that by his school friends? A secret nickname? Special K is a street drug Ketamine and is used for many things. I just hope this is a kid messing around. I also think this was written by a young male vandal (the most common type of vandal). JMO

"Special K" jumped right out at me, too, for the same reason. Then I read downthread that it's been mentioned elsewhere that "Special K" was a nickname for Kyron.

I thought they called LE, and that's how the media found out about it.

All the media has scanners so I assume they were listening to them.

Too bad one of the media didn't have someone posted at the Wall.

I'm thinking this was done by teens and not adults who should certainly have better sense!!

Getting treatment for party drugs addiction
Party drugs, or synthetic drugs, are known for their hallucinogenic and psychedelic properties. These drugs consist of the following: gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (commonly known as GHB); d-lysergic acid diethylamide (commonly known as LSD); Ketamine (commonly known as Special K); and methylenedioxymethamphatimine (commonly referred to as MDMA which is the active ingredient in Ecstasy). These drugs are commonly used and abused by the mid-teen to twenty-something crowd and found in the club scene in Oregon. These drugs are dangerous hallucinogens, referred to as “date rape drugs” and are often put in the drinks of unsuspecting victims.

Interesting that it would cause amnesia and dissociation, and I'm especially interested that it's used in vet medicine. I knew what ketamine was, just never heard of it referred to as 'special k' (or if I did, it didn't stick).

I think if the message was written by a stranger, they used the nickname for the creep factor. As in, "hey, I even know your kid's nickname." Otherwise, I guess it was used to let the family know it was someone close to them.

There might not be any words.. but there is Karma....for the miserable people that did such a pathetic thing.

I don't know, I tend to agree with Calliope. More likely than not this was just a well-intentioned but clueless and tone-deaf person - someone who, in their own mind, thought a message that Kyron is in a better place and free from pain would somehow be comforting and thought that writing it as a letter from Kyron to his daddy would make it more heartwarming and uplifting. People of a certain mindset would not see this as horrifyingly inappropriate, creepy and distasteful; it doesn't make them bad people it just makes them a little off.

In the "country" out here, I can get almost any medication OTC at the feed store or through the vet for our horse and pets. My friend in New York city, NY called it a "monkey sedative" whatever that means (he's a little strange). But it could be used as a sedative for animal lab testing, etc. and that's where he got that idea from. As far as I know, there's not a lot of abuse of Special K here in the south, but I'm going to speculate that Oregon and NY, both being close to the Canadian border, those cities there have easier access to controlled vet medications, i.e. Special K. JMHO tho.

Well, bottom line that's what I think. But the discussion is interesting.

I wonder if there is a reason that the lower left corner of the pic of the message has been blacked out?

Ketamine is a popular party drug here in New Orleans, especially among Tulane students.

I was wondering the same thing .. :waitasec: WHO calls Kyron "Special K" ?

Some psycho did this. Someone with no heart.

Special K is a drug that can be snorted or injected. It causes you to lose control of your body and makes you and your mind feel like they're in some other world. The process usually take 30 minutes to an hour. When it happens you'll have absolutely no idea what is going and absolutely no control.

I'm sure whomever did this was on some Special K.

Sicko!
