Hackett's phone calls...I was just reading an old online article about Shannon's disappearance and it reported that Hackett's calls to Shannon's sister were traced to indicate he was making them in the area of her mothers home. Does anyone know if this is true??

And how did Hackett get Mari's phone number? He told her Shannan gave it to him. Her phone was found out in the brambles with her shoes, purse and clothing, so he didn't have it then. But for him to have it, Shannan was definitely at his house at some point. I wonder if the police ever bothered to ask him how he came in possession of Mari's number to have called her the next day.

FWIW, I do not believe the hypothermia story for a minute. You do not run out of wet, skin tight pants. And she couldn't have ran through there barefoot either, in Thr Killing Season, they both walked through the brambles and were getting torn up by thorns and it was hard going. Rachel even said it would be almost impossible to do it barefoot. And how do you drown out there face up? That's how Shannan was found. IMO

Hypothermia can occur at 50 degrees and is made worse by exposure to the wind. Once your body core drops below 95, it sets in.

I believe that I remembered reading that the calls were coming from jersey city near shannan apt.

Don't forget the tides that morning. Shannan would have entered the marsh at low tide. I'm not suggesting she waded into an ocean, but you can drown in inches of water. Not to mention aspirate mud.

Don't you think the calls are the actions of a madman... to come into the city to call a missing woman's mother and tell her this insane story..Sounds like something a serial killer would do to taunt the loved ones of one of his victims to heighten his own enjoyment .... Just like LISK did with Melissa's little sister...and why refuse to take a lie detector test .. no reason unless your a liar........

He probably got her phone number from her phone while she was in his house just like he got Melissa's little sister ' families number before he killed Melissa.... The parallels between these two phone call incidents really bother me... and both girls end up dead out at Gilgo beach...I wonder how closely the phone records of all of the GB4 known victims have been examined and checked for the location and ping of their last ingoing and outgoing calls or any callers they may have had in common

I don't believe cph is lisk. I believe he was set up to look guilty.. Always have. There is a shadowy figure that hides behind cph. Just my opinion..I have been corrected that the calls from his phone to Shannon's mom did not come from near shannan apt in jersey. The information that I read was not correct. I do believe that ground zero is I oak beach.

I can't be sure who it is and will not risk naming a poi and cause pain if I'm wrong. I would be guessing and thats not ethical.I believe that it's going to be disclosed with the new information ray has brought to the table. I don't think cph ever actually made the call. I believe it was someone affiliated with "running a type of home for wayward girls" and that is where he outed himself and let cph take the fall. He got a hold of cph phone and has phone compulsion.

I discussed this case with a friend and the possibility of Snuff being a motive. She said that Snuff was happening in South America but it was a while ago. Maybe not an urban legend.

I know i've said before I believe Shannan took drugs, i was reading a different article and the possible short term effects of Crystal Meth were listed. (I've cropped the intetesting ones which would fit into an accidental death scenario)

- Increased Body Temperature
- Erractic and sometimes violent behaviour
- Hallucinations
- Panic and Psychosis

Was this the drug of Shannans choice that night at JBs I wonder?

That could be what absolutely terrified Shannon maybe she saw or overheard something at JBS that led her to believe that snuff was what was going to happen to her....By all accounts JB seemed pretty rational when he spoke to Pak, Pak never said JB seemed spaced out high or irrational only Shannon seemed either terrified out of her mind or wacked out on drugs... So Pak confirms she spent three hours with JB ,,so wouldn't JB have been crazy high if they were doing drugs together why would only Shannon be so high? May be as someone said earlier in the thread possibly JB slipped her something buy why? Shannon was a sex worker she was going to give him sex he didn't need to drug her... Did he drug her because he wanted to be able to control her more easily for some rough stuff she may not have willingly agreed to but she foiled his plan by breaking away and calling 911??....

Dr Hackett admitted calling Mari when his wifes phone bill reflected that. He said he got her # from Pak and Shannans boyfriend went they went to OB. Why would he lie? Because no good deed goes unpunished. We dont know what happened at OB. I think he realized he was in the middle of a potential dangerous situation. The cameras? He was not in charge of the cameras.

This is exactly what happened. I believe that she took drugs at the john's, had a bad reaction and that's what caused it all. Did the police find drugs at his house? I don't know but he could have flushed them and simply lied and said he didn't give her anything. Her death was accidental.

One thing is certain: LISK will never be found as long as we keep focusing on Shannan Gilbert or the other mutilated bodies at the beach.

I also believe there are two different killers and shannan was an accident. JMO
